4 Cards for Christmas

Hi Everyone

Just a quick one, thought I would let you see the samples for the 4 cards for Christmas workshop. This is taking place tomorrow but we can always book in another one for you!

The object of the workshop is to get the 4 cards out of 1 12x12 sheet with either 4 card blanks or just make the sizes out of some plain A4 or 12x12. With just a few co-ordinating embellishments it makes for a great way to achieve some wonderful cards in not only an affordable way but giving that Handmade edge too.

And back down to earth....

Well here we are a week later.
The NEC was brilliant and we had a great time. Thanks to all of the people that came to visit us and those of you that haven't been to the shop yet thanks for taking the time to stand and talk with us - we very much look forward to seeing you soon.
I think the best part was when people realised we are only 45 minutes from the NEC so not that far at all, for those of you that visit us already you will know that we will put the kettle on and make a brew if you want one so if you want an afternoon out then you will get a drink too.
As you may know it was the "Bee Crafty" product we were launching, the paper blooms, chipboard shapes, buttons and a few other items.
These are available on our website and if you would rather talk to someone on the phone that is always an option - we really are here to help in whatever way we can.
I'll leave it there for today and get you some pictures of the stand for next time!

58 sleeps............

Until Christmas!!!!!!
So as you can tell I am very excited about the annual visit from the chap in the big red suit with the beard. I think its a brilliant time of year to get one off pictures (thank goodness we don't have to do it every Sunday). As crafters what we can to with this opportunity is capture the mood and excitement of the day and use it for scrapbooking.
Here at Bee Crafty we have some magical Christmas Items in at the moment and all of this perfect for scrapping the time we spend together over the festive season - however you celebrate that time of year.
You will find all of our Christmas products here
As some of you will know we are Exhibiting at the NEC show this November from Thursday 5th to Sunday the 8th. What I want to remind you though is that THE SHOP IS STILL OPEN our normal wintertime opening hours on all of these days (closed on the sunday).
And further to that we are OPEN THIS SUNDAY 1st NOVEMBER it is the first Sunday of the month and our monthly scrapbooking crop!!

So what else is there.............

....... Chipboard!!!
But I'll start with a hello!!!!

So who like a bit of chipboard? I know i do and I also think that its a material that we can use easily, economically because it doesn't cost much and can also make each item individual so cracking for presents for those people who are impossible to buy for!

So first up then - door hangers

So as you can see there are the fishy shape - ideal for the "gone fishing" door hanger or just the deep sea bedroom doors. The plain shape which is just suitable for all ages, then lastly the arrow (which could also be used as a rocket?) These are great quality and at just 30p each - you could make these for everyone!!! To find them on the website click here
And who likes mask?
Well for those of you going to parties masked balls this winter what could be better than your very own design of mask. They also make great accessories in bedrooms etc. Or how about party fun for the kids - decorating these to take home!!! Just 99p each and can be found here on the website.
I'll have a go at finding some piccies of these decorated for some inspiration.
Hoping your all well and just a week left to get your entries in for Octobers bag competition.

Chipboard Letters

Hi Everyone

Hope you are all ok, well today we have been putting together some of the letters that make our lovely Christmas word books.

This example here is NOEL but this is also available SNOW and XMAS.

I think you will agree that they are perfect for gifts or if you are putting a crafty kit together as a gift for someone. They take paper adhesion very well and don't warp with a sufficient amount of wet glue. With this in mind they are also robust enough to be used for a mini book that will be handled day in day out.

You can find our Christmas Chipboard on our website or by clicking here.

We have decorated one book here with the Plum pudding 6x6 paper - this paper is also available in 12x12 with a magnified image of the 12x12 you can find both of those papers here
Here is the decorated version

I hope you like these products like we do and for £1.25 I think you would agree that they are very reasonably priced.

Black-n-White...

As promised here are a few of the cards I made whilst on holiday.
I was obviously in a black-n-white mode at the time but I really like them, especially the couple I made with the help of my Cricut (yes I took my Cricut on holiday with me)
The wine glasses on the third one are double layered bit the flowers on the second one are triple layered, base, shadow and silhouette layers fron the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. I added little gems to the centres for that bit of sparkle

This one was made using a few scraps I found in the bottom of my box, the grey layer was actually white so I inked over it with a black pad and hey presto a lovely subtle grey layer is added. The scalloped border is with the Fiskars Treading Water punch.

Hope you like them.........

Back from Hol's

Hi there, well I'm back from what I consider to have been a well earned rest. Dh and me drove down near Paris and stayed in a lovely mobile home on a fantastic site with swimming, fishing, tennis etc etc etc so what did I do - yup you've guessed it, crafted. To be exact I sat outside the caravan in the sun and made cards. The weather was fabby and we didn't leave the site for the whole stay, what could be better...

....and here's a few of the cards I made

The New Bakery

How cruel is this.....................

Every morning on arriving at work you are greeted with the most amazing smell of freshly baked bread, just how long I can stay safe from temptation is in question.
I'm not sure this is allowed on the Slimming World plan, just dont let Shirley know.

Good luck to all at the Blackminster Bakery

Stack-It Twister Card

Here we have a Twister Stack-It decoupage card using a Studio Light paper and a few left over pieces of complimentary paper from my craft box.

All the edges have been inked with Distress Ink - Shabby Shutters, then added a bit of ivory grossgrain ribbon and a piece of wide pink ricrac ribbon. The blossom's are a mixture of Bee Crafty Blooms, Prima flowers and brads. The 2 little butterflies were extra's on the sheet and fit in perfectly.

Hope you like it............

Forever Friends

A little stamp I found in the bottom of my stamp box and in conjunction with an idea I saw some years ago I think this makes a simple yet lovely little card........hope you like it too ...

Top layer is stamped with StazOn then coloured with chalk for a soft pink background then watercoloured with Marvy LePlumeII pens. the false stitching is just drawn on with a Sakura Permanent Black Identipen...

Sometime's we just need to look in our craft boxes and find something we havent used for a while and see what we can come up with..........
