Kerrie DT - Decision To Try...Mary

Happy Monday Everyone its my turn again to share one of my Bee Crafty makes with you

I picked another 'FASHIONettes' to create with today this time the gorgeous 'Mary' - I also used 'Decision to Try' from the 'WORDage' collection and an Inkables Template 'Circles'

I'm still working through my Offcuts Box and even added some pretty packaging into this make - I really dont like to waste the card that is in new stamps if its pretty it has to go on a card - the beige checked card and stripey pink card are both from stamps packaging - all the other pieces of card and even the mirror board are offcuts from other projects that i couldnt bear to put in the bin lol - on the beige checked piece I inked through the 'Circles' Template using 'Pumice Stone' distress ink and one of the round blending tools

I coloured 'Mary' using my fave alcohol markers matching the colours to the backgrounds I have used

I created lots of layers in the background and separated all the words from the 'Decision to Try' sentiment to scatter them across the background. I added some diecuts and a handmade (by me) Paper Rose that I added glitter to

I really like how soft the colours turned out

Clare DT - Maple Leaves

Good morning to you all and what a lovely sunny one it is too! After the weather this week has been very dull and gloomy the sun is a welcome sight. Well it's my turn at Bee Crafty today to share my blog. Remember to get youself over to the website with a super 20% this weekend it certainly is worth a visit.

My card seems to reflect the rather autumnal feel of the weather this week.

For this card I used:

Beautanicals - Maple outline

Beautanical - Maple solid

Wordage - Family Masterpiece

Distress inks

Embossing powders

I started by stamping my Maple outline and heat embossing, some with white embossing powder some with clear embossing powder. With stormy sky and tumbled glass I blended on to the corner of the card. With the same distress inks I stamped using the solid Maple stamp.

Don't forget to head over to Bee Crafty and bag yourselves a bargain. Thank you for visiting me today. Wishing you all a fantastic weekend whatever you may be up to x x x

Happy crafting,

Marleen DT - Tag

Hi Crafty buddies

Time for my last post this month for

I've had a little play making a tag for today.
I've used the stamp called "Danger Poison" as well as the "Happy Birthday/With Love" stamp.
You can find it in the STORE..

I made this tag using a manila tag. I started by coating it with antique linen distress stain before stamping my poison stamp using versamrk and clear embossing powder.
Once embossing was dry I used more distress stains to colour my tag. I finished the tag with a bit of washi tape, my greeting and a paperclip. The paper clip had the little charm on the end but i took it off and coloured it with alcohol inks and added it back on the tag.

And that is all from me for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Kerrie DT - Never Regret - Phoebe - Fashionette

Thank You for visiting my Monday Post for BEE CRAFTY

Here we are having a typical British Summer full of rain, rain and more rain lol but means we can craft away guilt free in our warm homes

Today I have slipped back into my comfort zone of colouring gorgeous girl images so I am sharing with you my new make using one of the Gorgeous 'FASHIONettes' her name is PHOEBE and she is so so cute

I have coloured Phoebe using my fave markers I really love colouring up these girls

I created all the layers on my card using all offcuts from my scrapbox - its a mission I have given myself to use up as many as possible before opening anymore packs of beautiful papers, some of my offcuts are quite large and beautiful so would be such a shame for them not to be used - I picked the colours for Phoebe using a really bold floral piece that I had chosen to use

I coloured some of my fabric flowers using the same markers to colour match to the backing paper and to Phoebe's outfit - I used an embossing folder to create the quilted look of the pearlescent cardstock in the background layer. the NEVER REGRET sentiment I picked I think is perfect for Phoebe as she looks like she has had fun shopping for sneaky crafting stash just like me and a treat should make you smile so dont regret it

Thank you so much for visiting my Post today and I do hope you will come back to the Bee Crafty Blog soon for more Gorgeous Makes from the Bee Crafty Design Team

Emily DT - seasonal trees

Hi everyone
The weather by me has been a bit miserable this week so I've taken the opportunity to spend some time in my craft room. This weeks project uses the same tree stamp as I used for last weeks project but I think it just shows how versatile these stamps are.

This weeks I have used the large tree stamp alongside one of my favourite products, Brusho paints.

Not a card this week, here is my finished project

I started by stamping the tree three times onto an A4 piece of card. Then I got out the brushos.
The first tree uses lime green and yellow brushos

The second tree uses leaf green and emerald green

The third (and my favourite) tree uses orange and scarlet brushos

I finished it off with a small Wordage stamp in the bottom corner.

I hope you like it as much as I do!

Kerrie DT - Artsy with Inkables & DaVinci Script

Hiya and welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

I have been away with no Internet Access it was a bit of a nightmare to be without but the Family Holiday was Fun

So I am back this week with a Mixed Media Artsy Make using 3 of my Favourite Inkables Templates and the DaVinci Script Stamp

For this project I upcycled the chipboard from the back of an art sketch pad - I love making projects with these as I hate throwing anything away if I can help it

First I painted the board using white chalk paint - then I chose my 3 Inkables Templates and used polyfiller and a scraper through the templates - 'Love' in the middle, the corners with 'Circles' and 'Metalwork Alpha' - once dry I coated the whole board using Gesso. I then applied Teal and Powder Pink chalky paint using small sponges randomly for just a hint of colour, I then sponge dabbed Charcoal Grey chalky paint to add like an aged effect. I also used a small paintbrush to apply some Charcoal Grey paint around the letters of 'Love' to add shadows so the lettering stands out against the background. Using an Archival Ink Pad I randomly stamped the 'DaVinci Script' stamp. To add texture I rubbed a candle over the whole board then heated with a heat tool and sanded it back a bit over the raised parts of the Artsy Project - this brought out some of the white from underneath. I rubbed Silver Guilding Wax over to create a metallic look almost like this project was created from embossed metal. To finish I painted over the whole project with Mod Podge to seal it.

I really like how this project turned out - I'm getting a bit more confident now with Mixed Media which was something I hadnt really done much of before this year as I was always a bit terrified but I have learnt that there is no wrong and its the enjoyment of making the project that is the most important thing being free to let go and try out new ideas and push that comfort zone

Thank You so much for visiting my Post today and i hope you will come back to the Bee Crafty Blog soon for more Amazing Projects by the Gorgeous Design Team

Clare DT - Skull background and Brushos

Good morning bloggers, I'm here with my Bee Crafty hat on today and sharing a make that is a little out of my comfort zone. Male cards! It always scares me a little when trying to create something for a male. This card was for my son who was 16 yesterday.

I decided to turn to my Bee Crafty stamps and stencils. Alot of you already know that I love using bright vibrant colours and due to the fact I am making a card for a teenager, I decided that this card was going to be quite grungy!

For this card I used:

All hallows - skeleton background

Inkables template - metalwork alpha

Brushos - Turquoise/Brown/yellow

Backdrop - Bubble wrap negative

Backdrop - Crackle paint

Da Vinci script

Texture spray from my stash

Bleach

I began my card by staming the skull onto the card and heat embossing with clear embossing powder. Using the metalwork alpha stencil I sprayed some texture spray through the sencil and set aside for it to dry.

Once the spray had dried I sprinkled my card with brushos, spritzed with water and moved the inky puddles around the card. Using the bleach and an old paint brush I gently painted the skeleton to lift off some of the colour so that the skeleton would appear more highlighted in it's dark surroundings.

More drying time and then I inked on my tags through a mask and stamped the bubblewrap/script/crackled paint through as well.

I know this is not quite my usual thing and sharing something out of your comfort zone is quite a scary thing to do. So if you have popped over to visit me today thank you for taking the time. I love to hear your thoughts and comments, you can do this below or if you would like to follow my blog you can do so by clicking on one of the above links.

Happy Crafting,

Emily DT - rainy tree silhouette

Hi everyone, when I sat down to create a card for Bee Crafty this week I had no idea what I wanted to do. I just got out my alcohol inks and started spraying bits of card until one inspired me!

Here is the finished card

I sprayed the background with peacock green, golden mint and midnight blue alcohol inks. Once it was dry I added more blue with a pipette and let it run down the card.

Once it was dry I stamped the BEAUtanicals tree silhouette once in the centre and twice off the edges. I then stamped the BEAUtanicals ferns and branches around the bottom. All the black is done with Archival ink.

After the stamping was finished I spritzed the whole card with water and left it to dry flat.

I was pleased with how the water effect turned out on this card and how it looks like rain.

See you all next week!

Marleen DT - Tag - Scull

Hi blogger friends..
Its once again my turn to share a bit of inspiration over on
Bee Crafty.

For today Ive had a play with the "Scull" stamp as well as the "Danger Poison" stamp.  I love these stamps and Ive made a little tag with them today. You can find them in the STORE..

My tag is die cut and covered with a thick coating of silver paint. I took my poison stamp and pressed it in to the paint a few time (wiping the stamp off between each press) to create my background.
I then stamped out my scull in black and cut down to size and adding it to the tag.
I finished the tag with a little greeting, and few gems and some silver mist spray to give the whole tag a shimmer.

And that is all from me for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Emily DT - Pompadour Dream

Hi everyone, another week has passed and it's my turn to produce a card for Bee Crafty.

This week I wanted to do something using a watercolour technique and so I chose to use canvas paper for this project. It has the texture of a canvas but is still light enough to use on a card.

Here is the card

I began by stamping the gorgeous Doodle birds Pompadour stamp in archival ink so it wouldn't run with the water later. I recently got the first four new distress ink colours in their miniature form and wanted to get cracking with them so all four feature on this card. They are cracked pistachio, mermaid lagoon, abandoned coral and fossilized amber.

I coloured in the bird using distress inks and a paint brush and water. I then used a Bee Crafty dotty stencil to colour the background. I randomly stencilled the dots in all four colours around the bird and then blended them slightly with water. After it was dry I went back in with the stencil and a black pen to randomly add the black dots. I'm not particularly good at 'random' so I was pleased with how it turned out!

Lastly I stamped the letters, again using archival ink.

I hope you like it!

Clare DT - Glad I Did It with Dylusion paints

Good morning to you all. It's that Bee Crafty time of the week and today I would like to share with you a little wooden heart that I have painted.

For this project I used:

MDF wooden heart (from stash)

Wordage - Glad I did it

Dylusions paint - Crushed grape & White linen

Inkables -Damask

Winged things - Doodlebirds crowned

Winged things - Doodlebirds Floralie

Crackle Glaze from my stash

I started of by coating my heart with crushed grape paint. Once dry I painted on some crackle glaze and dried off with my heat gun. With the white linen paint, using a dry brush I went over the heart making sure i caught the crackly areas.

Using the Damask inkable stencil I went back to the crushed Grape paint and went through the stencil. Once this had dried I bumped the stencil over a small fraction and then applied white linen over the top.

When the paint was dry it was time to stamp. I stamped our winged friends and the sentiment with black ink, applied embossing powder and set with the heat gun.

I painted the birdies with some mica powders from my stash.

That's it from me today. My arm is on the mend although I am still unable to drive. This has given me extra time in the craft room. Although I will be glad when I can get back behind the wheel as everything takes so much longer when you have to walk.

If you have enjoyed looking at the blog today you can follow or subscribe from the links above. I really do enjoy reading everyone's comments, you can leave those below.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
