Barbara - (Very) Late Saturday DT Inspiration for Bee Crafty.....

Hi everyone.....I'm very late today with my Saturday Inspiration for
I didn't get started crafting this week until Thursday, after a really horrible tummy bug, last weekend, and it seems I've been chasing my tail ever since.....
Anyway, I've made 2 completely different cards this time.....must admit, not sure if I like any of them, but thought I'd show you anyway.
For the first card, I only used red and black ink with the 'Splash Art Guitar Set'
I stamped the guitar twice, fussy-cut then covered it with Glossy Accents.
The second card only uses the very pretty 'Inkables' template, DAMASK.....  I inked through the template with Adirondack inks, spread it with clear texture paste, then covered the paste with micro beads. Once the texture paste dries, the inks really show through the glass beads.....I love the effect.
Just a simple card, but I like 'simple' now and then ......
Well, that's it for this week, catch you all soon....happy bank holiday weekend.

Emily DT - Be Yourself Canvas

Hi everyone

I have had some crafty play time this week and so decided to try out a technique Bev was using on Hochanda the other day. I am talking about using all purpose filler as texture paste and colouring it with Brusho paints.

I have made two little canvases this week. They both use the same techniques, they are just done using different colours.

Here is what I have made this week...

I started by colouring the canvas boards with Brushos. One is Lime Green, Yellow and Emerald Green. The other is my favourite combination of all time, Ultramarine and Purple.

Once they were dry I got cracking with the 'texture paste' (all purpose filler!)

For the yellow canvas I decided to keep the paste white and used a flowery stencil from my stash.

I stamped some butterflies onto coordinating Brusho coloured card and cut them out. I stamped the Serendipity sentiment in Walnut stain distress ink onto some more Brusho card and mounted it onto white.

For the blue one I added some turquoise and purple Brushos and used the dotty Inkables stencil. I also randomly stamped some dots from the Textures set in blue and purple.

I then stamped the Be Yourself sentiment straight onto the canvas using black Stazon ink.

I punched holes in the yellow one and added some twine to hang it up.

I'm super pleased with how they turned out and will definitely be using coloured texture paste more from now on. My mind is whirling with how I can use all the fabulous Bee Crafty Inkable stencils!!

See you next week

Marleen DT - Clean & Simple Butterflies

Hello Bloggers
and thank you for popping over..

Its once again time for my weekly slot for

For today I've made something very differet for me.. Clean and Simple..
Its a genre I've never been able to master, yet love..

This card came about as I got an order for a card, using Butterflies. Butterflies is normally something I'd use as an embellishment and not as the main on my cards. Also as it was for a big birthday the customer asked for an A5 size card, meaning more space to fill..
I have to say, it took me 5 attempts before I finally managed to make the card but the idea (that im sharing today) was made in the process.

This card is simply stamping with Versamark and then heat embossing. I used 3 different butterfly stamps all from the STORE and I used 3 different colours of embossing powders.
My greeting is the "Happy Birthday/With love" set also from the Bee Crafty STORE.

It was a real struggle for me not to start adding colour to the background, to pull out stencils and pastes but the whole idea was to try the clean and simply look.

But that is all from me for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Barbara DT - New Stamps....yeah!!

Morning everyone...... wow, don't these Saturday's come around quickly??
Today I want to show you a card made with brand new stamps, which were on Hochanda this week.
I certainly LOVE them all, and couldn't decide which to use first, but the
Splash Art Guitar Set won....find it HERE
This was a simple card.....!!
I stamped the images from the Guitar set, in black Versafine then heat-embossed with clear embossing powder. I stamped the guitar again,  fussy-cut it out and mounted it on top of the main image.
The background was made with distress inks and finger daubers.
A bit of matting and layering and I was done.......

I made a couple of others, which I'll show tomorrow....in the meantime, have a great weekend and don't forget to pop over to BEE CRAFTY to checkout the new stamps.

Emily DT - Better By Change

Hi everyone,

I hope everyone enjoyed seeing the brand new stamps on Hochanda a few days ago! I certainly did and I can't wait to see what people do with them.

I have had literally zero time for crafting this week so I have done this week's card in about 10 minutes. It's a great example of a card which can be done very quickly when you need one!

Here is this week's card...

I started by finding a piece of card in my scrap box which I had coloured with Dylsions spray inks. The colours were London Blue and Bubblegum Pink. I stamped the Wire Circle Frame on using Versamark and heat embossed it in white. I also stamped it again on paper and cut it out to use as a mask later. I stamped and embossed the Better By Change sentiment in the middle.

I placed my mask over the circle and flicked white paint around the outside. I love how it looks, I think it looks like a galaxy!

I blasted the paint with my heat gun and mounted it onto coordinating pink and white card. I love how it turned out and it was so quick because I used a piece of card I already had in my stash.

I hope you like it and I'll see you again next week!

Marleen DT. - New stamp preview and the SORRY stamp..

Morning Blooger friends..

Did you catch our Bev from BEE CRAFTY on Hochanda yesterday?? Did you see her AMAZING new stamps??
OMG Im totally in love with them. We the DT didnt get to play this time so I have no samples to show you using them, but I still want to add the preview pic's to my post today and if you want to see future samples, come join us in our FACEBOOK GROUP.

Having a musical background myself, I must admit I just love these stamps. I dont even think I have favorite.. They really do work for everyone of all ages..

Anyway.. I DID make a project for today but I used one of the stamps from last month release. I used the "Sorry" stamp. Its just such a great fun stamp.
You can find it in the STORE with all the other amazing stamps.

This one was a simply background made with glitter paste & distress ink through a stencil. I also used distress spray to add more interest and a bit of sparkle.
I stamped my greeting with Archival black ink before I sprayed so the greeting has a bit of sparkle on it too.

And that's it from me for today.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

A Little Canvas Today for Bee Crafty.....

Morning everyone, Saturday again, and that means it's my turn for the inspirational blog at Bee Crafty.
This week I fancied doing something a bit different than a card so decided to make a little canvas for my new craft room.
I chose a set of stamps that don't often 'get an airing' on this blog.....
Fabulous for 'new home' cards too, which is really the reason I bought them.
First I covered a small canvas with Dylusions paint,  inked through a couple of stencils, then stamped a few images (stamps used listed below)
Next I stamped the houses again on contrasting inked card, and fussy-cut them out.
Once these were adhered to the canvas, I simply added a bit of interest with a white pen.......
Voila! done ....
I used a small piece of voile for a hanger.
This certainly looks bright, hanging in my craft room, and I LOVE the sentiment ;-)
Stamps used are :-
Da Vinci Script
Stencils used are :-
Well, that's all for this week, but don't forget Bev is back on Hochanda on Tuesday with some amazing new stamps....can't wait to get my hands on them!!
Catch you all soon,
Barbara xx
Please leave a comment if you've enjoyed looking, I appreciate them all x

Emily - Ground Elder

Hi everyone,

Yet another week has flown pas and it' my turn to show you a project I have done this week.

I have gone back to a favourite of mine this week, my Brusho paints.

I finally managed to get my hands on the Ground Elder set of stamps and wanted to make a card with them. Here is this week's card...

I started by sprinkling some Brusho's onto white card. The colours used were turquoise, lime green, lemon, yellow, leaf green and sea green (I really went to town on this one!) I blotted it with kitchen roll to produce a more pastel shade of colour. For a more vivid colour I would allow it to dry naturally.

Once it was dry I stamped the Ground Elder and Tall Elder stamps in a cluster and extended the stalks with a black pen.

I stamped the Family sentiment onto white card and mounted it on black. I also mounted the background card onto black.

I stuck the sentiment on with foam pads to give it some dimension.

I love how this card turned out. I always like using Brushos and I think the colours complement the stamps beautifully.

I hope you like it too!!

See you next week

Barcode back ground - Marleen DT

Hello Everyone.

Its my turn to share a bit of inspiration for
I have used the "Shop till you drop" stamp set but dont forget you can buy all the stamps individually in the  STORE.

For this one I started by stamping the barcode as a border on both ends of my card stock with orange distress ink. I then smothered the card stock in yellow tones of distress ink before crumbling the card stock and add a bit of a brown distress ink.
The sentiment I stamped on a piece of scrap card and cut out on my big shot. I added the same orange distress ink on the edges as I did on the background.
I put it all together with a layer of black card stock, some gems and some flowers.

And that is all from me for today. Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.
And dont forget to come visit me on FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or my FB page.

DT Kerrie - No Angry Way To Say 'Bubbles'

Hiya and welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

I brought some more Stamps from the Bee Crafty Online Shop last week and just had to get inky with them as soon as I could - I also wanted to try something out of my comfortzone so I chose Blue inks I rarely use this much blue but I think I like it

Products I used from Bee Crafty Online Shop

I am trying really hard to only buy things I am actually in need of and to try to use stash I already own so I dug through a box of A4 card packs and found a pack of nice stamping card I had forgotten about - ooooops - I trimmed a piece to a few mm smaller than my 6x6 card blank I then used low tack masking tape to hold the Inner-Circle Template from 'Easy Frame 6" Circle' Inkables Template Set in place from underneath while I inked over the circle edges using 'Tumbled Glass' Distress Ink. I then inked in from the edge of the card using 'Mermaid Lagoon' Distress Ink.

To create the bubbly look I inked through the 'Offset Dots' Inkables Template with the circle template still in place using 'Stormy Sky' Distress Ink. I then removed the circle template and inked through the 'Circles' Inkables Template using 'Stormy Sky' & 'Weathered Wood' Distress Inks.

I wanted to darken up the edges a little bit more so right on the edge I blended in using 'Weathered Wood' distress ink. I then stamped the 'Angry Bubbles' WORDage Stamp into the centre of the main circle using black ink.

I mounted this cardfront onto a black cardstock offcut that I had saved in my scrap box (to save cutting from a whole new piece of cardstock) - then mounted this onto my 6x6 card blank.

I added a few little clear sparkle flat back dew drops from my stash

Thank You so much for visiting my Post today please do visit again soon to see more amazing examples from the Uber Talented Design Team over at the Bee Crafty Blog

Barbara DT - Saturday Inspiration

Morning everyone....excited today as I'm off to Ally Pally with my lovely friend Jean and her 'just as lovely' daughter.
Will certainly be calling to say hello to Bev at the BEE CRAFTY stand. .....might treat myself to a few things too (who am I kidding....I have a list as long as my arm!)
Anyway, on to my Saturday inspiration.
I chose to use the pretty butterfly this week from 'Winged Things' - butterflies set 1 -  and stamped many times on a piece of inked card. (Adirondack inks, Pool, Sunshine Yellow and Citrus) I used the masking technique, so as not to over-stamp.
I mounted the sentiment onto black cardstock and added an extra butterfly, coloured with Sakura pens and Promarkers. Some white highlighting, a bit of matting and layering and I was finished.
Hope you like it enough to leave a comment, they are always appreciated.

Barbara DT - Something different....for me, anyway!

Morning everyone, Saturday already.....and today I host my monthly workshop in Chippenaham. Guess which stamps we'll be using this month? BEE CRAFTY ...yeah!!
However today I'm showing a card which is totally different from what I normally do.
I had a piece of painted cardstock in my 'scrappy' box, so decided to chop out a few holes....
I printed the sentiment onto a scrap of card, cut it into pieces and used the
Backdrops Frames ~ Style Wire Circle Sm/Med.
Still not sure if I like it, so much out of my comfort zone.....
Let me know what you think, please.
Catch you all soon,
Barbara xx

Emily DT - Making Memories

Hi everyone, I'm really excited to show off my card this week as I was extremely pleased with how it turned out.

It was inspired by the beautiful Summer weather we've been having (intermittently!).

Here is the card...

I started by tearing some paper and masking off the piece of card that I wanted inked. I used Distress inks in candied apple, wild honey and mowed lawn to create a stripe of colour.

I then stamped the teasels and cow parsley in two shades of green and then black in a random fashion.

I stamped the sentiment and then mounted it onto a black layer before sticking it to my card blank.

I am not very good at using 'white space' in my cards and I'm extremely happy with how this turned out. It can be done in any colour, with all sorts of different foliage stamps.

I hope you like it!!
