Hi everyone, who has been lucky enough to get their hands on the new Bee Crafty stamps this month!? I managed to get hold of a couple of them and I have used one in my project this week.
I have made a card using the fabulous 'birds on a wire' stamp. Here is the card I have made...
I decided to use a piece of card I had in my stash which was coloured with Brushos. The colours were turquoise, purple and aquamarine. I stamped and heat embossed the birds stamp in white and trimmed the edges.
I mounted it onto white card and then selected a card blank the right size. Before sticking it on I coloured the card blank with Brushos in the same colours.
I stuck it down using glue and added my sentiment in the bottom right corner using complementary Distress Inks.
I hope you like the card. This is one of my favourite colour combinations of Brushos and I love it with the white embossing.
See you next week!

Lorre-Anne DT - Hochanda samples for Sam's shows
Hi everyone, for this week's Bee Crafty Blog post I have decided to show you some of the samples I made for Sam's recent Hochanda shows, and explain how I made them.
The materials I used are as follows
- Card blanks
- White, black & kraft cardstock
- Splatter Swirl Circle stamp
- Splatter Swirl Upright Rectangle stamp
- Live Laugh Dream stamp
- Distress Oxides (Fossilized Amber, Broken China, Fired Brick, Vintage Photo, Iced Spruce, Wilted Violet, Worn Lipstick)
- Onyx Black Versafine ink
- VersaMark ink
- Clear embossing powder
- Heat tool
- Glue, Foam pads
This was a really simple card to make, I stamped the circle using Versamark and sprinkled some clear embossing powder over then set it using a heat tool. I stamped a part of the Live Laugh Dream sentiment and heat embossed this too. I did some matting and layering, and glued to the card blank.
I created a background using Distress Oxides (Broken China, Fossilized Amber, Vintage Photo, Fired Brick), randomly stamped the swirl off the circle, matted onto card with edges coloured using the Oxides, and finished by adding the Live Laugh Dream sentiment.
I created a background using Distress Oxides (Fossilized Amber, Broken China, Iced Spruce) then using Versafine, stamped the Splatter Swirl Rectangle in the centre - I then inked up the swirl part again and re stamped carefully over the bottom right corner to give me a double swirl rectangle. I finished off by stamping the Live Laugh Dream sentiment in the centre. I did some matting and layering and then glued to the card blank.
I again created the background using Distress Oxides (Broken China, Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet) then randomly stamped the swirl off the circle using Versafine ink around the edges. I stamped the Live Laugh Dream sentiment in the centre, and did a little matting and layering before gluing to the card blank.
I created my background using Distress Oxides (Broken China, Fossilized Amber, Wilted Violet) to randomly stamp the Splatter Swirl Circle all over a white square of card. I stamped Laugh Live Dream in the centre of the main circle, and finished by matting on to a square of card with edges coloured using Wilted Violet.
That's it until next week bloggers, hope you liked my samples, and if you have any questions please do get in touch.
Hugs, Lorre-Anne x

Emily DT - Spread Your Wings
Hi everyone, I hope you've all been making the most of the gorgeous weather we have had this week!
I have made a card this week which features some of the stamps which have appeared on Hochanda recently.
Here is the card I have made...
I started by cutting a square of white card and colouring it with Twisted Citron distress ink.
I stamped over this with the crackle stamp using Crushed Olive distress ink. I stamped it in two halves making sure the join was where the white strip was going to cover.
I cut the white strip of card to size and mounted it on black. I stamped on the sentiment in black ink and stuck it onto my card topper.
I finished it off with a gorgeous butterfly. I cheated a bit and used the printed acetate which comes with the stamps. I cut round the butterfly and mounted it using cosmic shimmer glue. I only glued the middle and raised the wings off the page slightly.
Everyone has their favourite colours and I don't tend to use green very often but I love how this card turned out.
See you next week!

Marleen DT - Same goodies, different outcome..
Hey bloggers..
Todays card is made for BeeCrafty,
using the new Birds & Butterflies stamp set and one of the
The
brown background is made with Distress Oxides. I used both brown
colours, Vintage Photo and Walnut stain. I just smudged them on with my
blending tool.
I took my crackle paint stamp and lay it flat on my table. I misted it with water and took my brown background and plopped it down on the stamp. Meaning I stamped the "wrong way round". I took my card to the stamp, not the stamp to the card.

I left it to air dry so it takes a wee minute before the stamping shows but its worth the wait.
While
my background was drying I covered my MDF birdcage with Cracked
Pistacio Oxide ink and made the little strip thats sits behind my
background. I also stamped my greeting and cut it apart.
The rest was really just cutting my background at an angle, stamping my bird and stick it all together..
Now..
If you are part of the BeeCrafty Facebook group, you would have seen our Emily
posted last night. And funny, she has made a project, very different
from mine, BUT will you believe that we have used the same goodies.. and
nope, none of us had seen nor knew the other of us was creating with
the same goodies. So Ive asked Emily if it was ok to include her project
here also (and she said yes ofcourse or I wouldnt have posted it lol)
Emily's Project using the same goodies as myself. Links above.
Is'nt her project fab? I just love it. So very different from mine yet using the same stamp and birdcage.
But that is all from me today. Thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Lorre-Anne DT - Lustre Luxe Tags
Hi bloggers, for this weeks Bee Crafty DT blog post for Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty I wanted to share a couple of MDF samples I made for Bev's recent shows on Hochanda (Monday 5th June). Now this was a first for me as I've never used MDF before, plus I got to play with the fabulous new Lustre Luxe too! You definitely need Lustre Luxe in your life, this is a metallic paint which is so creamy and shiny - and it gives amazing coverage! I've used it on card, MDF and various types of ribbon.
Materials needed -
- MDF tags
- Lustre Luxe (Moonstone, Sea Green & Golden Gate)
- Art stamps: Birds & Butterflies set 1
- Large Birds & Butterflies - Bird On Branch
- Large Birds & Butterflies - Large Butterfly
- WORDage set: Everyday sentiments set 1
- Backdrop Stamps XL - Script
- Onyx Black Versafine ink
- White lace
- White organza
- Glue & Foam pads
I used blending foam to apply Moonstone Lustre Luxe over the MDF tag. On spare white card I stamped the large bird, 2 small butterflies and a sentiment using Versafine ink. I took a little Sea Green Lustre Luxe and mixed it with some water, and used this to colour the birds and butterflies, and I added them to the tag with foam pads. I also used the Lustre Luxe/water mix to splatter some green over the MDF tag. I die cut the sentiment, then used blending foam to apply some Sea Green Lustre Luxe. The Lustre Luxe was also really easy to apply to the lace, and I then tied it through the hole on the tag.
For this tag I again used blending foam to apply Moonstone Lustre Luxe, and when dry (which doesn't take long at all!) I used Versafine ink to stamp the script all over, and to also stamp 2 large butterflies and a sentiment on to spare white card. I blended Sea Green and Golden Gate Lustre Luxe over the sentiment then cut out, and attached to the tag using foam pads. I mixed the Lustre Luxe with a little water and used it to add some colour to the butterflies, cut them out, and glued to the MDF tag. To finish off I added some colour to some white organza ribbon using the Lustre Luxe, and tied this through the hole at the top.
So that's my first ever MDF creations complete, and I can't wait to get another play with some more, plus I'll shortly be putting in an order for some more Lustre Luxe as I NEED the purple and blue now!
Until next week, happy crafting everyone.
Hugs,
Lorre-Anne x

Emily DT - Dream
Hi everyone, yet another week has flown by and I've been busy making samples for the next Hochanda show so I thought I'd share one of my favourites with you.
Here is the card I have made...
I then removed the inkables and once it was dry I stamped and heat embossed the Dream sentiment in white, It didn't stand out as much as I'd like so I went round the edge of the letters in a silver pen.
I went round the edge of the card using the splatter swirl border and randomly inked it using the same three colours.
I like how this card turned out and this is one of my favourite combinations of colours. I hope you like it too!
Make sure to tune into Hochanda on Saturday and Tuesday and I'll be back next Friday with some more inspiration :)

Lorre-Anne DT - Rainbow Butterflies
Hi everyone, it's time for my Bee Crafty DT blog post this week and I wanted to share with you one of the samples I made for Bev's recent shows on Hochanda (Monday 5th June). I got to play with the gorgeous Birds & Butterflies and Everday Sentiments stamps... I can't recommend these sets enough! These will allow you to make so many cards for lots of different occasions. When I seen the butterflies I thought they'd look really good in rainbow colours and so this card was created.
What you need to make this card -
- 6" x 6" white card blank
- black & white card
- Art stamps: Birds & Butterflies set 1
- WORDage Sets: Everday Sentiments 1
- Distress Inks (Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, Seedless Preserves & Wilted Violet)
- Onyx Black Versafine ink
- Paintbrush & Water
- Glue & Foam pads
- Circle dies
What to do -
- Cut black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and white card slightly smaller again.
- Take the white card and use Distress inks with water to splash some colour around the card, then cut a circle aperture in the middle. Mat this on to the black card using foam pads, and glue to the card blank.
- On spare white card use Versafine ink to stamp 7 butterflies, and use the Distress Inks to colour them in. Cut them out when dry.
- Stamp the sentiment using Versafine and cut out using a circle die. Use foam pads to attach this to the centre of the aperture.
- Arrange the 7 butterflies around the aperture.
That's it for this week and I'll be back next week to share another project with you. Please leave me a comment if you have time as I love to hear from you.
Happy Crafting!

Emily DT - Hello You
Hi everyone, sorry it's a bit late in the day this week. I am so in love with the card I have made this week so I really hope you all like it too.
Here is the card I have made...
Here is the card I have made...
I started off with a piece of card from my stash. It was coloured using dylusions sprays and then left with cling film on until it was dry. This leaves a gorgeous textured pattern.
I stamped and heat embossed the smaller ground elder stamp in white.
I then cut out a square frame using dies and mounted it onto a card blank. The blue piece was stuck directly onto the card blank and the frame was mounted using foam pads to add some height.
I then stamped and cut out a small sentiment from the new everyday sentiments set. These are so handy and I can see them being used a lot!
This card looks so effective considering it took hardly any time to produce. I really hope you like it as much as I do!

Lorre-Anne DT - Distress Oxide Life
Hi crafters, I'm back with my Monday blog post for Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty showing my latest Bee Crafty DT project. I've been playing with my Distress Oxides, and I decided this week to remake a card I had previously made using Distress Inks... with a few small changes. The older card can be found in my blog archives around May 2016.
What you need to make this card -
- 7" x 7" white card blank
- Brown and white card
- WORDage - Life & Rain stamp set
- Inkables template - circle
- Distress Oxides - Faded Jeans, Fired Brick & Vintage Photo
- Onyx Black Versafine ink
- Glue
What to do -
- Cut a 6.5" x 6.5" square of brown card, and a square of white slightly smaller than this.
- Take the white card, and using a blending tool, blend the Distress Oxides on it. Flick water droplets on this, and dry.
- Ink some Vintage Photo around the edges of the circle template to give the impression of a bubble.
- Stamp the sentiment in the centre of the 'bubble' using Versafine ink.
- Mat this to the brown card, and glue both to the card blank.
That's it for this week bloggers, I'll be back next week with another project for you.
Hugs, Lorre-Anne x

Emily DT - Lustre Luxe Tag
Hi everyone, back again! This week I have been playing with the new Lustre Luxe paints. They are absolutely fabulous and so different from other products I have used. They are metallic and really opaque and so their coverage and finish is fantastic.
I have been using them to make samples for the upcoming Hochanda show on Monday 5th and I wanted to share one of them which I was really happy with.
Here is my project...
I used a large MDF tag and applied the lustre luxe straight onto it using a foam ink applicator. I used the purple pearl and ocean blue, and used a wet baby wipe where the colours met to blend the colour. Once it was dry (which is no time at all) I stamped some of the butterflies from the new Birds & Butterflies set in silver.
I also stamped and heat embossed some of the butterflies in silver onto white card. I then used some watered down lustre luxe to colour them in using a paintbrush. When they were dry I cut them out and glued them on. I only glued the middle and lifted the wings to create some dimension.
I stamped a sentiment onto white card and added it at the bottom on foam pads.
The lustre luxe has such a beautiful metallic finish and covers and blends wonderfully well. It really is a fabulous product and I shall definitely be treating myself to some more colours.
I hope you have liked the project I have created this week, and you shall see it and lots more samples on Hochanda next week.
