Sadly, the photo's aren't true to the colour I see in real life. The blue is actually quite deep in colour and the orange is very vivid in contrast. If you watched the Hochanda show last Tuesday 27th February, you might have seen my sample which was tags displayed on an accordion style booklet - this will give you a better idea of the colour. And as I had one tag left over from that make and I'd just received a mix pack of the MDF Artboards...the 2 items some how came together.

*Paint the 75mmx100mm MDF Artboard Portrait with either black paint or gesso.
*I die cut a tag but its easy enough to cut your own. I sprinkled some of the Colour Burst Blue on to a craft mat then spritzed with water. Dip the tag in and heat set. Dip again if you are wanting a deeper more intense colour.
*Make sure the tag hole is just above the top of the Artboard and then cut to fit the back panel. Tear off a strip from the left over piece of tag so it just hangs over the bottom panel.
*To decorate the tag; use the following stamps within your hand and randomly stamp across the tag.I used the Mermaid Lagoon with the Bubble Wrap stamp, the Faded Jeans with the Bark Positive and DO Hickory Smoke with the Bricks Positive. The use the Dinkable Metal Alpha with the DO Twisted Citron. Use the number part from the Barcode stamp using Festive Berries DI.
*Use a sewing machine to sew round both pieces of the tag, make sure to leave some longer threads. I also did some lines of sewing under the umbrella following the stamp lines.
*Paint the back of the tags black so it looks finished on the reverse of the Artboard. Take a pair of scissors and rough up all the edges of the tag. Glue the tag parts on to the Artboard.

*Take the orange Colour Bursts and sprinkle on to a craft mat and spritz with water. Dip in some paper and get the colour that suits your taste. Heat set in between dips.
*Stamp the quote on to the orange card and cut out. Make sure to colour the back black so the parts that hang over the edges look good on the reverse.
*Use a hole punch to get 3 circles in the orange. Glue on to tag and go round them with a fine line pen. Also cut a tag strengthener for the top of the tag from the orange card (they can also be bought from a stationers).
*Stamp the top of the umbrella only on to the orange card. Fussy cut out and paper piece on to the top of the original image.
