Here Come the Girls ... By DT Ann

 Here Come the Girls..

 By DT Ann

My samples using The Winter Girls & Winter Small Words, Inkables & MDF Pop Outs...

My background was created using a brayer, Ground Expresso & Speckled Egg Distress Oxides & stamped snowflakes from each set. Cool Winter Girl was stamped with Versa Clair, Acorn & coloured with Distress Oxides (in same colours), Inktense pencils & a touch of Picked Raspberry. Added the boarder to ground Cool girl, sentiment from Winter Small Word stamp set, some blending around the edges & matt & layered (5”x7” card).

For this one I painted an MDF Arch Art Board & added some panels in red card to create a door. By drawing around the outline of the top of the arch onto card, I created the “window” using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide & a number from the  Number #1 stamp set. I outlined it with a Posca & used a clear embossing powder to give a glazed look. I stamped, coloured & fussy cut 3 sprigs to create a wreath, adding gold embossed stars from the pop outs
To colour 'Warm Girl' I used Distressed Oxides & Inktense pencils.

I stamped 'Warm Girl' in Versa Clair Morning Mist (grey), coloured her in a mix of Oxides & watercolours & cut her out. I created the background using the Inkables from Tuesdays show & Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide & I Stamped some of the snowflakes in Versa Clair Chianti.  The sentiment was from the Winter Small Words set, stamped onto a banner from the Banner & Tag die set. This is a 6"x 6" card.

This 6"x 6" card was created in a similar way to the previous one, just in different colours & with some snowflakes from the MDF Pop Outs.

Here's the rest of my samples...

Apologies if the colours aren't vibrant I'm having issues with the laptop!! Those of you who ordered these Winter Girls will love colouring them in there are so many possibilities.. have fun !!

Sally DT- A Leafy Tag and a Sneaky Peek

Good Morning! I am here with a step by step leafy tag using the gorgeous stamps and matching stencils in the Bee Crafty Beautanical range.

I used

Tag Dies

The maple leaf set

The Nettle leaf set

The oak leaf set

Easy frame inkable 4" maple, nettle and oak leaf

Distress oxide inks in Fired brick, Frayed burlap, Fossilized Amber and Peeled paint

Versafine black ink and clear embossing powder

First I cut the tag from white card and the back layer  from black card.

Next I used the inkables to sponge leaf outlines in autumn colours to the tag.

I stamped over the stencilling with the corresponding leaf stamps also using the distress oxide inks before drying thoroughly with a heat gun.

Next I stamped and clear embossed the sentiment from the Maple leaf set before attaching to the black layer and adding some coordinating yarn.

Hope you like it!

Whilst I am here, Bev and Sam are off to Hochanda tomorrow for a fabulous show at 10am. Here are a couple of sneaky peeks of the delightful winter journalling girls. I do hope you can watch!

Jane DT - New Beginnings Art Journal Spread

 Hello!

This week on the Bee Crafty blog I am sharing a fairly quick art journal spread...

1) I created the coloured background first by blending out distress crayons with clear gesso.
2) Pieces of washi tape were torn from the roll and stuck down using collage medium.  I also added white splatters with gloss spray.
3) The butterfly was stamped onto the background then coloured using permanent markers.  Then highlights and doodles were added using posca paint pens.
4) The sentiment was stamped onto black card and embossed with white powder.
5) Once the sentiment had been added I drew a border around the pages.

Autumnal Tag

 Autumnal Tag

by DT Ann

It's definitely Autumn, beautiful colours, provided by nature, everywhere... inspiring me to create this tag using Janes Cone Flower stamps this week..

Janes Art Stamps : Magical Day & Happy Day
Distress Oxides: Squeezed Lemonade, Crackling Campfire, Candid Apple, Walnut Stain
Versafine Clair: Pinecone

Available at: https://www.beecrafty.net/

Die cut the largest & second largest tag dies.

Rub some ink onto a non stick craft sheet, spritz with a fine water spray & dab an acetate sheet (mine was from a stamp set) into the ink & on to each tag.

Repeat with each colour of ink, until you are happy with your background.

Stamp a flower from Janes Cone Flowers set, using a Versafine Clair ink. I used Magical Day set (my favourite) & Pinecone (brown) ink.

Colour your flower in, I used my Distress Oxides & a water brush, then intensified the colour with Inktense pencils.

Stamp some leaves from Janes Happy Day set down the side of the smaller tag & stamp the flower slightly offset.

Then stamp 3 leaves on to a separate piece of paper, when dry, colour them.

Blend Walnut Stain Oxide around the edges of each tag.

Glue the two tags together, add the extra leaves, a sentiment & some hi-lights with a Posca pen.

Sally DT - Nevermore

Hi there! I am here with a bit if a gothic card today, ideal for Poe fans.

I used:

Nevermore Raven Set

Dripping Skull 6x6" inkable

Distress oxide inks in Wilted Violet, Black Soot and Spiced Marmalade

Versafine clair Black ink

White 15cm square card

14x14cm mixed media card

First I put some oxide ink onto my glass mat and sprayed with water before smooshing the mixed media card through it. I used a heat tool to dry it off.

Next I splattered some of the spiced marmalde and wilted violet ink over the  mixed media card with a wet fan brush. I dried this with the heat tool too.

Once it was dry I stamped the Raven, Nevermore and the quote in Versafine Clair Black ink.

I then lined up the skull template against the right hand side and sponged a little black soot distress oxide ink through the stencil.

Finally I matted and layered it onto the base card with some black paper.

Jane DT - Sunflower Tag

 Hello!

This week on the Bee Crafty blog I have created a tag for my tag album...

Last week I did a Face Book live over on the Bee Crafty Face Book page where I was using alcohol inks and related products onto a variety of tags...

https://www.facebook.com/BeeCraftyStamps/videos/1506613856394741/

and so I decided to use a couple of them for this project...

First I added some white gesso through the Oval Lace inkable onto the smaller tag, then mounted it onto the larger.  Then I mounted them both onto the largest white tag from the tag cutting dies set...

Next I stamped and cut out the Doodle Art Sunflower (regular) and coloured it with Ecoline markers and a water brush before adding it to the tag...

Finally I stamped one of the sentiments from the Small Words set a few times and added them on before sticking the tag into my tag album...
