Calee CT - Beautiful Autumn

Hello , this week I have a double page journal spread as my step by step guide , using one of the new catalyst collage papers from the Autumn Portraits collection .

Firstly I tore around the feature portrait in the catalyst collage paper,  glueing it down on  the right side of my page . Next using the rest of the paper I cover the remaining page in a collage of pieces .

Using distress oxide ink Dried Marigold inked all of the remaining page and around the edges , this drew all of the elements together . Then using the Doodle Art Sunflower stamp and Versafine Clair ink in pine cone I stamped randomly across the page .

Nest using the brick work D’inkable from set 2 and Distress ink crackling Campfire some stenciling was added along with a few of the smaller moths from the Art stamp Moths . At this stage I also added a bold black stitched border and some white gel pen faux stitches to the large leaves .

Next I stamped and coloured 3 Doodle Art Sunflowers, for this I use my Ecoline water colour pens and a little water to blend .

Using the large leaf stamp from the Art stamps Journaling Essentials #7 and Distress inks Crackling Campfire and Dried Marigold , a leaf was stamped and then out lined with a fine black pen , adding a few extras doodles .

All of these elements were then added to my page , cutting one of the sunflowers in half and tucking the leaf behind the other two .
To finish my page a transparency sentiment from the Autumn /winter Words , was added in 3 pieces .
Thank you for taking a look at my page this week . A list of products I used is below .
Happy crafting

Sally CT - A bit of sparkle

Hi There! We have a new challenge over on the Bee Crafty Stamps Facebook group where the theme is Sparkle, so I thought I would share a single layer Christmas card with you today. Here is how I made it.

I began by heat embossing a Doodle Art Bauble onto an A6 white card blank using some silver sparkle embossing powder.
Next, I stamped the same bauble onto a post it note and cut it out to make a mask.
Placing the mask over the embossed image I place a Dinkable on top and used masking tape to secure it to the card. I then blended Blueprint sketch and Peacock Feathers Distress ink through the dinkable.
After removing the mask, dinkable and tape, I used some metallic watercolour paints to paint the Bauble.
I used a silver pen to add strands of thread for the bauble to dangle from.
Finally I added a sentiment from the mixed messages Christmas set.
Here is the finished card once more....
And here is a close-up of the sparkle.

I used:
Versamark Ink pad
Silver Sparkle embossing powder
Metallic watercolours
Distress inks - I used blueprint sketch and peacock feathers
Post it notes for masking
masking tape

Thanks for looking!

Alison CT - Sparkle (honestly it's there)

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing an art journal page created using the Moths Catalyst Collage Papers and giving them a bit of sparkle as that's the theme for November's Challenge in the Bee Crafty Facebook group.
To begin I trimmed my chosen A5 moth catalyst collage paper to fit my 6x6 inch art journal.  I used matte medium to glue it to the page.
I cut out the moth and flower from the offcuts part of the paper and added them to the page.
Then I lightly blended scorched timber distress oxides around the edges of the page.
Then, using a brown micron pen, I drew round the inside of the round leaf dinkable from set 14 several times. I then added two freehand lines around them.
Next I used the dotty texture disc from set 1 with a white posca pen to add small circles and dots to the page.
Then I went over the large moth with a glitter pen, mines from Tonic. This was really hard to get a photo of, this is the best I could get.

I then added some text by using distress translucent crackle paste through the text part of the coffee stains text 6x6 inkable. I left this to dry naturally so that it went clear and cracked. This added a little more sparkle to the page. Another one difficult to see in photos.
Finally I added a sentiment from Wordy Stickers 1 to which I added a border and dots using a brown micron pen.
Products used:
6" art journal
Nuvo Midas Touch glitter pen
Matte Medium
Scorched Timber distress oxide
Distress Translucent Crackle texture paste

Thank you for taking a look.
