Marleen DT - Holly Swirl tree

Hello everyone..

A new project today, made for

A very simple card but I just love this combination and I think that even the simplest of stamps could be used for this tecnique.
White on craft card...

For today Ive used the "Holly Swirl Tree", You can find it in the STORE with all the other goodies.

As i said, A very simple card. Its simply just stamping with versamark and white embossing powder.
The edges are made by adding a bit of distress ink and then swiping the versamark pad on the edges, genty tapping of the eccess. Embossing powder will stick to distress ink as well so thats how the specks stayed in place.

And thats it from me for today.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Clare DT - Star Flowers

Good morning bloggers and festive greetings to you all. Well if you were fortunate enough to be watching Hochanda this week you would have seen the release of Bee Crafty's new floral range of stamps. All of us girlies on the DT worked our socks off to make some samples for Bev to take with her on tv. Here are a couple of the samples I made for Bee Crafty using the fabulous Star Flowers stamp.

For this project I used:

Star flowers stamps

It's nice to be important sentiment

Distress inks

Embossing powders

I applied my salty ocean and mowed lawn distress inks. In the background stamped some flowers using bleach. In the foreground I stamped the star flowers in green and heat emossed. Onto some white card I stamped the flowers in black ink and heat set with clear embossing powder. I coloured in the flowers using distress inks, cut out and applied them to the card.

I absoloutely love these new stamps. Check out all of the latest stamps released from Bee Crafty by clicking here.

Marleen DT ~ Hochanda samples

Hey guys..

Very exciting post today. (for me anyway lol)
Yesterday, my boss, Beverley was on Hochanda TV showing off her new stamps for

We, the DT, was sent out the stamps as soon as Bev got confirmation of her tv dates but everything went so fast, none of us had much time to get our goodies, make samples and send them back to Bev.
I think the other girls managed to get their stamps a day or 2 before me but as I live in the VERY rural Ireland, post is alwasy slow here. I ended up cathing the postman before he started his round on thursday last, and thank god I did because my samples had to catch the return trip that same day before 3 pm in order to make it. All plans was cancled that day as I crafted to my hearts contend.. Not hard to do when you have yummy new stamps to play with lol..

I did make up another batch on thursday evening, sent them friday morning but sadly they didnt make it over to Bev in order to make the show, but will show them all here.

Anyway.. the stamps will soon be avaliable in the STORE, but until they are, you can always pop over and nosy on all the other yummy goodies over there.

You ready??  Tons of pics coming up lol...

This is the 2 sets that came to live with me :-)

As I knew I needed to work fast, I spent wednesday evening prepping a few card and making a few backgrounds. It was quite hard as none of us had seen the stamps till they landed with us. We had no idea what we would be working with..

 And so it began lol

SO exciting to see my cards on TV lol..

The glue on the wee pearl couldnt have been completly dry when i packed my samles. It was supposed to sit on top of the bow lol

The rest is the samples that didnt make the screen :-)

And that is all from me for today. I hope you like my projects as much as I loved making them.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Emily DT - Christmas Elf

Hi everyone, Christmas is drawing ever closer so for today's blog I thought I'd make use of some of my lovely Christmas stamps.

Colouring is one of the things in card making that I really struggle with. I am useless at shading but I love the Ernie Elf stamp and I wanted to make a card using it.

Here is the card

I recently treated myself to some distress markers so I thought I'd have a go at using them to colour Ernie in. Like I said, shading still eludes me, but I'm happy with how he turned out.

I added the Happy Christmas sentiment and a couple of snowflake embellishments. I also went round the edge with Tea Dye distress ink and a blending tool.

I mounted it onto some very festive metallic red card and then onto a kraft card blank.

Hope you like it!

Marleen DT - Tree's and Winter wonderland stamps set

Hello blogger friends

A quick post this evening as I totally missed my slot today for
 Bee Crafty
I was fully sure my blog was ready and set to go but I messed up somewhere..
Better late then never I guess.. (she says looking very remorsefull lol)

Never the less here is my project for this week using the "Trees and Winter wonderland stamp set" from the Yuletide collection.

This card was made on craft card stock, stamping with versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The greeting is done in the same way. I just handdrew the white outline on the sentiment with a glue pen and again heat embossed with white powder.
I finised of with a bit of distress ink around the edges and a piece of lace that i stuck down on the back, before adding the whole lot to a white card blank.

And voila.. Thats all from me for today.
Thank you for popping by.

Clare Dt - Inspire

Good morning to you bloggers. I expect lots of you are busy preparing for this months festivities? Don't forget to take a little time out and for yourselves and visit Bee Crafty to make a christmas list of your own. There have been a number of new stamps released over the past month so if you are after a crafty gift of your own pop over to the online shop.

Today I would like to share with you some of the new stamps that have been released used in conjuntion with some of the old ones.

Stamps used in this project:

Splat 1, 2 & 3

Splatter swirl rectangle

Inspire

Backdrop bubble wrap negative & positive

Backdrop music fur elise

Inspired by Da Vinci script

Ranger liquid pearls

Ranger stickles

First of all I inked the splats and stamped in various places. Then using the splats again I kiss stamped onto music, bubblewrap and script stamps, some with black ink and some without.

I inked the splatter swirl frame with black ink and masked an area so that when I stamped 'inspire' it would just venture outside the frame.

Finally I added some pearly dots and some stickles for a bit of bling.

Thank you for popping over today. I love to hear you comments so feel free to leave one in the box below.

Happy crafting,

Emily DT - Never Regret

Hi everyone! Today's card is done using one of my favourite techniques.

Here is the card

I used a piece of canvas paper for the background. I like using it as it has texture and I like the effect when you stamp onto it.
I stamped the Upright Rectangle frame sideways and used one of my favourite Wordage stamps, Never Regret (large). I stamped them in black pigment ink and heat embossed them in clear.

I then picked my rainbow colours in distress ink and I have a 'go to' list.
They are:
Barn door
Spiced marmelade
Scattered straw
Mowed lawn
Salty ocean
Dusty concord
Seedless preserves.

I used some of each ink and applied it with a paintbrush and water to create a watercolour effect. I let the colours all blend together.

Once it was dry I trimmed the edges and mounted it onto black card. A card blank and a few black gems just finished it off.

Hope you like it!

Marleen DT - Holly Swirl tree

Hello everyone..

Once again wednesday, and can you believe it?? Its DECEMBER..
Merry Christmas everyone..

Today I want to share a little quick card I've made for
Bee Crafty

I've used the stamp called Holly Swirl Tree from the Yuletide collection

This card was made by smothering my cardstock in the blue distress ink. I then stamped my tree and embossed it with silver embossing powder. Once melted and cool, I tool a glue pen and hand drew my border around and once again embossed with the silver embossing powder.
Once my border was cooled I used a brown distress ink around the edges.

The little specks around the card is also embossing powder. I 'made' them by simply not flicking the card too hard when taking of the extra embossing powder when making the border.

And that is all from me for today. I hope you like my wee card.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.
