Marleen DT - Hochanda samples 1

Hello Bloggers..

Today I want to share the samples I made for the Bee Crafty show on Hochanda last friday.
Our Bev was showing the brand new stamps (hand drawn by Sam) and inkables and had teamed them with some of the older stamps from the STORE. A perfect blend that we all loved playing with.

Not all of the samples we make, makes it on to the screeen. There are 5 of us on the team as well as the 3 boss ladies, so you can imagine how many samples it would add up to.
Ive added all my samples, bar 2 - my scrapbooking pages -to this post. I will share my scrappages next week.
Distress crayon on an embossed background. I stamped strait onto the background with the sentiment. The tree is heatembossed with black powder and a bit of distress ink added to the middle.
This one is far more bright then what shows up here. Its made with the inkables and distress ink.
This one is a good exsample of how fantastic the inkables are. When you buy a set you get both the inny and the outy.. So you can cover an area yes still do the outline. I just love that..
More distress ink. I also stamped with distress ink.
Even more distress ink. Stamped with Archival.
Distress ink, water splashes and white embossing powder.
All the words are from the set shown on Hochanda, I just covered up the words I didnt want with a post it note, inked up, removed the post it note and stamped.
Distress crayons all the way.. I used the inkables to make my leaf.
A distress ink background with watersplashes. Stamped with versamark and heat embossed with white powder.
This one is made on a distress ink background. Leaves stamped with distress ink and "coloured" by just using a wet paint brush "swirling" the colour around inside the leaves. The topper is made with the inkable and distress ink.
This one is made using the inkables  and distress inks.

And that is all from me for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Wintry Leaves

Morning, I am sharing a wintry card today, that could easily be made into a Christmas themed card. I have used the amazing stamps drawn by Sam along with the stencils and masks from Bee Crafty. The shows were great, if you missed them on Friday you can still watch them on Catch Up on the Hochanda Website, via the TV schedule.

To begin with I secured the largest of the Maple Leaf masks onto my 8'' square card. Here I used velvet cardstock. I left about a 1 cm gap between the mask and the edge of the card.

Next using Distress Inks I built up a landscape, here I used Shaded Lilac, for the land, blending it darker at the top to nearly white where the hill join. For the sky, I blended Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire darker around the edges, blending to give a halo above the land.

To add the tree, I masked off part of the stamp with washi tape, inked it up and removed the tape before stamping into place.. I overlapped the moon slightly with the tree. I then blended around the page and mask with Shaded Lilac.

I removed the masks and stencil, then placed a negative of the moon so I could add some colour inside it. I wanted the moon to show outside the leaf, while not spoiling the leaf outline.Inside the square I had created with the mask I sponged on some Shaded Lilac to make it look even more frosty and to add atmosphere. To do this I used the maple leaf mask and copier paper scraps around the edge.

I stamped a selection of the smaller Maple and Oak leaf onto another sheet of card and coloured them with matching Distress inks. Shaded Lilac and Blueprint Sketch.

Then cut them out with scissors.

I stamped my sentiment, shaped the leaves and arranged them around my design, I then used 3D glue gel to adhere them to the card.

I took some white card to layer the project onto and used Mediterranean Blue Gilding Polish around the edges before securing it with Cosmic Shimmer Glue.

Thank you so much for joining me again today, I do hope you have enjoyed the step by step I have shared and the finished project. I really hope you will come back again soon. Take care and bye for now xx

Barbara DT - Saturday is here again ......

Hi again, just a quickie today showing one of my DT cards for the Hochanda show yesterday with Bev @
Did you see all the fabulous new releases of leaf stamps, aren't they great?
I chose to use the oak leaf stamp for this card and first stamped both sizes of leaves onto gold mirri-card with Stazon. Then I fussy cut them out......not as much of a chore as I thought, LOL
I mounted 3 of the leaves in the corner, with silicone gel, then added a twine bow, onto a piece of black smooth cardstock.
( Mirri-card is notoriously hard to photograph, sorry)
In opposite corners I made some dots with a Versamark pen, then heat-embossed in gold.
Added one of my favourite sentiments, HERE
and I was almost done. All that remained was to mat onto more mirri-card, then onto a black base.
Voila! done ;-)

Hope you enjoyed the shows, I'll be showing you more of my DT work over the coming days.
Catch you soon, have a good weekend,
Barbara x

A bit of inspiration..

Hey bloggers..

Im jumping strait into it today as I once again let life fly by and dropped the ball. Cant wait till schools out tomorrow and things will finally slow doen for a bit..

My post today is my usual wednesday post for
Bee Crafty

Ive once again used the "Feather Dreamer" stamp set.
Dont forget, all the stamps can be bought individual as well as in sets, over in the STORE.

This one is nothing but distress ink. I used 4 different colours. Making the back ground first by simply blending the different colours and then stamped and inked the edges with the darkest colours.
My sentiment is also stamped and edged with the darkest colour.
Very very simple card but I have to say i love the colour combo and its a card that could be made in any tones and still be amazing.

Before I go.. I just want to let you know that our Bev will be back on Hochanda this Friday at 11am, 1pm and 5pm.
If you want a wee sneak peak of the AMAZING new stamp, which are hand drawn by our Sam, pop over on the Bee Crafty Facebook Page..

That is all from me for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.
And dont forget to come visit me on FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or my FB page.

Autumn Lady

Morning. I am very excited to share this with you today. I have thoroughly enjoyed designing with these lovely stamps from Bee Crafty, hand drawn by Sam. The shows will be on Hochanda on Friday 24th June, Please tune in Bev's shows are always great and well worth watching.

I started by stamping the face onto my card using Memento Black Ink. My card measured 8 1/4 '' square.

I then started planning where to stamp the Maple and Oak leaves to complete my design. To do this I used masks made by stamping the stamps onto copier paper, I used 2 of each.

I arranged the leaves to compliment the face and features, then added branches to complete the look. I worked from the back forward to add interest.

Next I added my sentiment, also on the show. There really are some smashing ones to choose from.

Taking a selection of browns, reds, oranges and yellow alcohol markers, I coloured the leaves. Then the neck and face with skin tones.

I left the rest of the card uncoloured, completely white. Normally I would never leave the background plain, but for this project I felt it was the right thing to do. To finish the card I backed it onto brown cardstock.

Thank you so much for joining me today, I hope you have enjoyed the step by step I have shared as well as the finished card and hope you will join me again very soon. Take care xx

DT Kerrie - Brusho's Tags - WORDage

Happy Monday to you all and welcome to my Post for Bee Crafty

What a Crazy Weekend with Father's Day I hope you all had a lovely time with your families. I did with my Wonderful Hubby and our Children and his Parents we all had a lovely roast dinner and a Movie Night

I had the first bit of spending money available for a while so I visited ordered some Brusho's from Bee Crafty I have never used these before and so I had to open them up and try them out, so I created some Tags with them

I used Watercolour Card cut into Tag Shapes, sprayed them with a water spritz spray bottle and then sprinkled over some of the Brusho's after making holes in the lids for ease of use - I teamed these with some Distress Inks

For the Blue/Green tag once dry I inked some leaves through the 'Leaves - Inkables Template' using Black Soot distress ink then inked the edges using the same ink. I stames the 'Life & Rain (large) - WORDage' stamp in the corner using Black Archival Ink. I trimmed a piece of linen cardstock a few mm larger than the tag to create a matt, I then inked the egdes using 'Peacock Feathers' and 'Black Soot' distress inks then glued the tag to it

For the Red/Brown tag once dried I stamped the 'Friendship (large) - WORDage' stamp into the corner of the tag using Brown Archival Ink. I inked the edges of the tag using 'Vintage Photo' distress ink. I then trimmed a piece of linen cardstock a few mm larger than the tag to create a matt, I then inked the egdes using 'Scattered Straw' and 'Vintage Photo' distress inks and then glued the tag to it

I had best leave this post here and get back to Sample Making for the upcoming Hochanda Shows at the Weekend where Bev will be showing off some New Stamps....eeeeks so exciting

Barbara DT - A Bee Crafty Canvas

Hiya, happy Saturday......
This is another quick blog, I'm afraid, as this weekend is the Scarecrow Festival in our old village, and I have arranged the 'Craft Market' part. I'm selling my cards, as always, so we're hoping for a very busy weekend.
My inspiration for BEE CRAFTY this week is a little canvas.
I've used Dylusions for the background, then overstamped with 'Flower Distressed Border' find it HERE
I stamped the flower part on a separate sheet of card, a couple of times, fussy-cut, inked them in a contrasting colour then triple embossed them to bump up the shine.
I used another of my favourite background stamps in a couple of places, the Da Vinci Script....find it HERE
The background spots were made with a small piece of sequin waste, and the sentiment is another favourite of mine, which can be found HERE
A little bit of gold wax around the edges, some Rangers 'Stickles' and a piece of twine completes the canvas.
If you have found some inspiration from this project, it would be great if you could leave a comment, they are always appreciated.
Catch you soon,
Barbara x

Emily DT - Brusho Frame

Hi everyone, my turn again for some Bee Crafty inspiration. The design team have all had new Hochanda samples to make this week so I have made a very quick card. It might be quick to make, but a very effective little card, and great for a lot of occasions

Here is the card I have made this week...

I started by finding a piece of card coloured with Brusho paints from my stash. I usually have some pieces of Brusho card lying around in various colours.

I stamped the Splatter Swirl Frame onto the middle and cut out the centre of the Frame. I then stamped the Live Laugh Dream sentiment onto white card and stuck it behind the frame.

The whole thing was mounted on black card and that's it done!!

This type of card is so easy and quick to make but I love how it looks. Varying the colours and sentiment make it suitable for most occasions.

I hope you like it!

Birds Of A Feather

Morning Everyone, Today I am sharing a fairly simple but effective card, using the feather collection of stamps from Bee Crafty, drawn by Sam. I have really loved designing with all of the stamps in the collection. They are so versatile and have been drawn with the most amazing detail. Here I have used the large straight feathers as a frame for another of the wonderful sentiments.

For this project I took a sheet of Cream Linen cardstock. I then stamped the feather onto copier paper, cut this out and then in half to act as a mask so I could stamp the frame. For the frame I used Black Archival Ink.

Using the same ink, I then stamped my sentiment, you can find this either in the complete set or in the Wordage Section of the Bee Crafty website.

Next I stamped four more feathers on to copier paper and cut them out. These don't have to be to precise as it's mainly to keep any ink from covering the detail. I wanted the cream card to show through the feathers. I covered the feathers with the mask I had made using Temporary Adhesive Spray. I also took some crap paper to mask off the rest of my background, The tore some paper into cloud shapes for the sky.

Using Shaded Lilac, Blueprint Sketch and Stormy Sky Distress Inks, I blended from the edge inwards to create a halo around my sentiment.. I hardly used any ink at all in the centre, just enough to blend.

I removed all of the masks and removed the residue from the adhesive. I took a fine black liner and added some very simple birds in the sky, I trimmed around my design, leaving 1/2 inch around the image. Lastly I matted the project onto Blue Pearl Cardstock. The finished card measures 8 x 8''.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at what I am sharing with you today. I hope you have enjoyed my step by step and that you will visit again very soon.

DT Kerrie - Look Beyond the Imperfections

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty Stamps

I have been using my Planner a lot lately and decided to make a New Dashboard (Front focal laminated page) as my Design Team make this week

My Planner is Sea Green and most of my inserts and decorations are various pinks and greens so this gave me the colour scheme for my Dashboard

I chose a pretty rose coloured backing paper which already had some pretty details on which I then trimmed to the size of a Planner Insert. I then stamped some extra details using some Bee Crafty stamps and brown archival ink the stamps I chose were...

Backdrop Borders - Dandies
Backdrop Borders - Flower Distressed Border
Yuletide - Holly Swirl

I stamped 'Fashionette - Rosie' onto white smooth cardstock and coloured her using my fave alcohol markers - I then fussy cut her and attched her to the backing paper using strong glue

Next I Stamped my chosen Sentiment 'Wordage - Being Happy' onto the top corner of the backing paper. I love this Sentiment as it is very inspiring

I laminated the finished Dashboard, punched the planner holes using a personal size punch and rounded the corners to finish

Thank You so much for visiting my Post today please visit the Bee Crafty Blog again soon to see more inspiring makes from the Gorgeous Design Team

Barbara DT - Simple & Elegant

Morning all, just a very quick post as I'm on holiday this week, and we're heading off to the beach soon with the grandchildren.
I chose to do a very simple & elegant card this week only using black smooth card and gold mirri, gold embossing powder and Bee Crafty stamps (of course)
I used a Versamark inkpad and fine gold embossing powder to emboss the images and sentiment.
Stamps used are :-
Large Wings - HERE
Small Feather - HERE
Sentiment - HERE
It's quite hard trying to photograph mirri-card
I love the black and gold together and think it looks very elegant. It would probably look just as nice on white card stock with maybe a coloured embossing powder
Well, that's all for now, as I promised the family I wouldn't spend too long on my lappy this week.
It would be lovely if you could leave a comment, if you've found some inspiration from this card.
Back soon,
Barbara xx
