Calee CT - Doodle Art Fishes and Seahorse samples

Hi ,this week I am sharing my samples for the newly released Doodle Art  Seahorse and Fishes stamps and the Rainbow Bubbles and Rainbow Boards catalyst collage papers.

This first card was made by creating a smooshed background and stamping over with black ink using the shells from the Doodle Art Seahorse stamp set . The fishes from the Doodle Art Fishes set were then coloured with Ecoline pens and added to the background , this was then mounted onto green card .

For this card I using a sheet  of catalyst collage paper from the Rainbow Bubbles Set  stamping some of the smaller stampers from both stamp sets into the bubbles / white circles and then adding the seahorse  ,which was coloured with a combination of of Ecoline pens and distress inks and using the sentiment from the seahorse set. For a finishing touch a few crystals were added .

For this card I used the rest of the card with the smooched background  stencilling some leaves using  a Dinkable from set 14 . Fishes and shells were added from both of the stamp sets into.

This card was created very simply with a torn piece of catalyst collage paper collage paper  from the Rainbow boards pack and two seahorses and shells . A few doodled hearts were also added using a white Posca pen .

For this journal page I used the rest of the collage catalyst paper from the Rainbow Boards pack ,some stamping with the smaller worker stamps and some stencilling for my back ground . Then I added some  texture paste and finished with an assortment of shells ,fishes and the sea horse.

So these are my makes so far ,there will be lots more to come ,with these fabulous new stamps and catalyst collage papers

Thank you for stopping by and please remember to share your makes into the Bee crafty stamps Facebook group

Alison CT - Vintage doesn't mean brown.

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this vintage style art journal page using a Catalyst Collage Paper, stamping tissue and the Look stamp set.
To begin I cut a piece of the A5 Painted Petals and Portraits Catalyst Collage paper to fit my art journal page.  I then used a sanding block to sand around the edges.
Next I cut around the flower part to create a pocket. I didn't cut to the edge.
Then I stamped Look on to stamping tissue and carefully tore her out.

Next, I carefully tucked the bottom of the stamped image behind the flowers on the catalyst collage paper.  When I had her in position I added matte medium under the tissue and over the whole page. Add a little spritzed water to encourage the edges of the tissue to dissappear in to the background. Leave this to fully dry.
Then, I added a white texture paste through the text part of the coffee stains text inkable. Leave to dry.
After it was dry, I blended victorian velvet distress ink through the Distressed Diamonds inkable.
Next, I used a black pen to edge the piece and glued it to my page in my journal using pva glue.
Finally, I lightly sanded the Wordy Stickers from the 3B sheet, before cutting them down and adding them to the page.
Here's another look at the finished piece.

Alison CT - When you fall in love with the background!

Good morning,  today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this art journal page, which initially started out being a background and quickly became a finished piece, as I fell in love with it as it was.
To begin, I cut one of the circles pieces of the A5 Butterflies and Circles Catalyst Collage paper to fit my art journal page.  I then used matte medium to glue it down.
I inked the edges of the page by blending Twisted Citron distress ink over it. Then, I cut out some of the butterflies from another sheet in the pack. I glued these to the page with matte medium.
Next, I blended Picked Raspberry distress ink through the circles dinkable from set 3.
Then, I blended Broken China distress ink through the dots dinkable from set 2.
I used Versafine Clair nocturne ink to stamp areas of the small circles stamp from Journaling Essentials 9.
I, then, added a faux stitched border and some black splats using a black posca pen.
Next, I used a white posca pen to colour the centre of some of the stamped circles.
Finally, I stamped the word 'hope', from the Mixed Messages 2 stamp set, using Versafine Clair nocturne ink.
I could not decide whether it needed a main image and if so what. So I decided to stop here, as I really love it as it is. I may come back to it another day and add something. I'm not sure.

Calee CT - Hello You !

Hi ,a quick journal page for my step by step  this week ,using one stamp set ,one catalyst collage paper and minimal products .

The first  step was to choose my paper for the main background of my page and cut to size .This is an A5 paper from the  Rainbow Thoughts pack . I trimmed it down to fit my page with a small border around .

Then I added some stencilling with the Coffee stain script Inkable using Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink and a little texture paste through a small circle / dot Dinkable from set 2

Next using the small flower from the Doodle Art Butterfly stamp set I added 3 flowers and coloured them in with Ecoline water colour pens, ,at this stage I also went in with a white gel pen and created some highlights mainly on the girls face and some twinkling stars .

Not finished with doodling I then added  3 strips of pink hearts ,these were drawn with a pink Posca pen and outlined with white , I also used an orange Posca pen to create splats and sprinkles , covering the main image with a sheet of paper , to protect it .

Next my butterflies were created , I was undecided on which colours  wanted to use , so stamped two and with my Ecoline water colour pens  coloured each differently . I would choose later which one looked best on my page .

As you can see I decided to use both butterflies ,as each seemed to work on different parts of my page . To complete my page I added a stitched border in black fine liner and this sentiment from the Transparency prints sheet Beautiful and Brave .
Thank you for taking a look at my simple journal page , I hope you found it helpful.

Calee CT -Imagine

Hi , this week I have a journal page for my step by step guide , staying with the wings theme I have chosen the Doodle Art Bee and combined it with some Journaling essentials flowers ,because where else would you find a bee ?

My first step was to choose a catalyst collage paper and the Doodle Art Bee stamp set to use in my 8x8 inch journal .

As this page had some wide empty areas ,my next step was to add some stencilled leaves using a Dinkable from set 14 and the distress inks Mermaid Lagoon and Lucky Clover . I also inked the edge of my paper with Mermaid Lagoon to bring all of the colours together.

This background was then glued down, leaving a thin  border of  journal page . At this stage I also added some white highlights and dots with a gel pen and some more stencilling with Distress oxide Fossilised  Amber and Inkable Honeycomb Full .

I then stamped and coloured the Doodle art Bee and flowers from Art  stamps Journaling essentials #5 . These were coloured with Ecoline water colour pens and highlights added with a white gel pen .

Next I added a  bold white stitched border with a Posca pen and played around with the positioning of my coloured images and decided that I needed something extra .I stamped this flower / cluster of dots  from Journaling Essentials #8 in black ink on to some white card cut them out then added them to my design.

My page was completed with a sentiment from theTransparency Prints Bee Words 2, which I mounted on to some white card .

Thank you for taking a look this week and I hope you found the steps useful .

Alison CT - Wings and Things

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this inspiration for Sally's challenge this month - Wings.
To begin, I sprayed the three distress oxides sprays on to the page. I then sprayed water on to my fingers and shook this on to the page.  I bloated this dry with kitchen towel and left to dry.
Next I  put the swirling circles 6x6 inkable on the page and used a baby wipe to rub through it, removing some of the colour from the page.
Then, I used an embossing ink pad to stamp the Butterfly Stitch stamp on to the page. I sprinkled the image with Ranger Black Embossing Powder, tapped off the excess and heat set.
On separate card,  I stamped the second largest Moths, the plainer click, two sizes of stars and elements from the Stitched Borders. I coloured these by blending distress oxide inks over them. I then cut them out.
I glued them to the page using a mix of foam pads and wet glue.
Finally I added the three parts of the Wordy Stickers 3B sentiment after I had cut them down.
Product used:
Stars Textures stamp set

Distress oxide ink pads - antique linen,  uncharted mariner,  gathered twigs,  lumberjack plaid,  mustard seed
Ranger Black Embossing Powder
Embossing ink pad
Distress Oxide Spray - uncharted mariner,  vintage photo,  squeezed lemonade

Thank you for taking a look.  I hope I've inspired you to have a good at the challenge.
