Christmas Snow Globe

Morning, Today I am sharing a snow globe card that I made using the Christmas Stamps that Bev brought to Hochanda recently. I have used the beautiful Ornate Christmas tree in conjunction with the circle and hexagon Inkables.

Taking my Super Smooth card, I taped the Hexagonal Inkable in place to form a base for the snow globe, I used Hickory Smoke Distress Ink to colour inside.

Next, I placed the large circle Inkable onto the base using washi tape. Then I started blending the Distress Inks to give the 3D appearance of the globe. I started with Shaded Lilac, then added Faded Jeans, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot.

I had blended the colours in turn leaving a highlight towards the left to look like light shining onto the globe.

I used an anti static bag to wipe over the card before taking a versamark ink pad to stamp the elegant tree inside the globe. I covered this with fine silver embossing powder and used my heat gun from underneath to set.

Next using the circle from the Inkable set I masked my globe.

I then took the Holly stamp and using only the swirl part I stamped the background using Mowed Lawn and Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink, I also used some of the colour to break up the whiteness of the background card.

I stamped my chosen sentiment in the top left hand corner using black Versafine ink.

To finish, I backed my design with black cardstock, giving a 5 mm border around the edge.

I do hope that you have enjoyed the step by step I have shared with you today and the finished card. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and I hope you to see you again very soon. Take care and Happy Crafting.xx
