What you'll need:
- White card, Black card and white card blank
- Distress oxides - Peacock Feathers and Salty Ocean ( which I've heard will be on the website very soon. So keep checking)
- Versafine - Onyx Black and Smokey Gray
- Clear Sparkle Pen
- Moon Stamp
- BEAUtanicals Large Lily
- BEAUtanicals Wildflower 3
- Splatter Swirl Boarder
- Being Happy WORDage
Step 1:
Cut a strip of white card and blend the top half in peacock feathers and the bottom half in salty ocean. Place your moon stamp on an acrylic block and spritz with water. ( you want to spritz enough water so it covers the whole stamp but not so much that the stamp is dripping with water) Then place the stamp in the corner of the card and press down for about a minute so the oxides get more chance to react with the water, gently lift the stamp off and blot with a paper towel.
Step 2:
Ink up the Lily stamp in the onyx black and stamp the Lily where you want it on the card. Then ink up the wildflower 3 stamp in the smokey gray and stamp randomly around the Lily doing 2nd and 3rd generation stamping to get more of an effect of them being in the background. Once your happy go over the lily with a clear sparkle pen.
Step 3:
Take your card blank ( mine is simply just an A4 card folded in half ), ink up the splatter boarder in peacock feathers and stamp all round the edge of the card. Then stamp the being happy sentiment towards the bottom of the card leaving enough room for the strip of card you just did.
Step 4:
Matt your strip of card with some black card ( I went round the edges of the black card with the clear sparkle pen ). Add some foam tape to the back and adhere to your card.
And that's pretty much it. The ones I did below instead of cutting a strip of card I just masked of half the card and stamped directly onto that. Just make sure you use low tack tape and remove it very gently otherwise you may risk pulling some of the card off ( which happened to me )
That's all from me for this week. Hope you enjoyed this blog. If you have a go at this please put up pictures in the group on facebook as I'd love to see. Be sure to tune in on Hochanda this Thursday 27th at 11am and 4pm to watch Sam bring some amazing stamps and to see mine and the other new DT's first lot of samples. Hope you all have a good week.
Until next week
