Emily DT - Rock!

Hi everyone, I hope everyone's having a lovely Summer! I have created a card this week which uses a lot of different texture stamps to create a background.

Here is the card I have made...

I used a lot of different stamps, including the set of four small background stamps, the crackle background stamp and the set of two stars to create the background. I used shades of green and started off really lightly, using second generation ink. I slowly built up the background, finishing with the patterns I wanted to be most prominent.

I stamped the Rock stamp in the middle and finished it with a few dots of glossy accents. I wanted the background to be a feature of this card and didn't want to put too much over the top of it.

I like how this card turned out although if I did it again I would try and focus the lighter stamping in the middle and the more prominent colours around the edge of the card.
