Caz Harwood - Doodle Bee card

PRODUCTS USED:

5x7 card blank (you can make any size)

Bee Crafty Stamps:

D'inkable regular dots & brick wall

Distress inks - worn lipstick & spiced marmalade

Black fine tip posca pen.

HOW TO MAKE:

1) First I die cut a hexagonal shape to use as a mask for inking over.

Then using a card panel slightly smaller than my blank I started inking around the hexagonal mask in distress ink.

2) Next using the stencils I inked up random sections in opposing colours to add interest and flat texture.

3) Then I stamped the Doodle Bee inside the masked off hexagonal area in black versafine and also onto a separate sheet of card. (To fussy cut it out for layering)

4) Using the decorative element stamps I added some details onto the card design. It adds more interest to the overall card.

5) Next after fussy cutting the bee (body & wings) I watercoloured him with Koh-I-Noor watercolours (any brand will suffice)

6) I added star dust stickles to the bee's wings to make them appear translucent.
That's it complete.
