Mixed Media Tag by Ann

Well its Friday again... sometimes when we try mixed media we think we have to throw everything at it, then panic (I do) is it too much eeekkk... never give up though you could be one layer from it being amazing!!!

Products I used were:

STAMPS: Doodle Art - The Bird House

                Backdrops - Random Numbers

Music - Wibble & Heartbeat

Small Words

INKS: Archival Jet Black / Distress Oxide Blue Jeans / Versamark

Paint(denim blue)/ Clear Gesso / White Embossing Powder 

Tim Holtz Tag

Washi Tape Vintage Numbers & Formulas & Graphs

First add washi tape to tag (pic1), then cover tag with clear gesso & dry, then brayer thin layers of blue paint to create a sketchy look (pic 2)

Brayer excess paint onto a small piece of paper & a piece of card, large enough for the Bird House stamp (I used the back off an old paper pad), leave to dry.

Stamp Wibble in black across the tag (pic3) & Heartbeat in Blue Jeans (pic 4)

When dry, wipe with anti static bag, stamp Random Numbers around edges of tag in Versamark ink, sprinkle with white embossing powder, heat til melted (embossed- pic 5)

Stamp The Bird House onto painted card & three clouds onto the painted paper, fussy cut (pic 6)

Stamp a word or phrase onto the Bird House.. I used "Never Give Up" from the Small Words stamp set...

Glue Bird House & clouds to tag & add finishing touches with a white pen .
