Did you see the show on Hochanda yesterday, sell outs!!! Must admit not surprised everything was a delight play with.. I had one jar left over!
I used :
Bee Crafty MDF Jar
Dragonfly from Bee Crafty MDF Pop Outs
Beautanicals Daisy (favourite)
Inkables Honeycombe stencil
Inkables Dripping Paint stencil
Paint
Inktense pencils
Posca pen
Versa Mark Ink
Black Embossing Powder
Distress Oxide Inks: Squeezed Lemonade, Peacock Feathers & Lucky Clover
available at: https://www.beecrafty.net/
First I used a gelli print from my stash, using the jar as a template I drew around it & cut it out.
Next I stencilled the Honeycombe in Squeezed Lemonade on to the paper jar.
Then using the Other two colours I stencilled through the Dripping Paint stencil.
Whilst that dried I painted the dragonfly with a combination of acrylic paint & watercolour pencils, adding some sparkle on the wings, when dry.
Next I triple embossed the jar frame, press the Versa Mark ink into the MDF frame, cover in embossing powder; shake off excess & put back into pot, heat powder until it melts, with heat tool. Repeat process twice, the first time takes a while as the MDF has to warm up, but after that it melts quite quickly, make sure it goes molten, but doesn't burn!
Using the Daisy stamp & Archival ink I created a background to the 'paper' jar & added some colour to the daisies with Inktense pencils.
I stuck the jar frame to the paper jar with a wet glue & added the dragonfly, using gel medium & buttons to give it some height.
To finish I stamped my sentiment onto an off cut of my gelli print & glued onto my jar & added some Posca hi-lights.
Thanks for stopping by... Ann x
