ATCoin-Flight by DT Ann

ATCoin-Flight

Haven’t done one of these for a while, these little 2 1/2 inch circles are a good way to practice layouts, small scale. This one is mdf but you can create them on a die cut circle & can use as a focal point on a card or in your journal.

I used;

Stamps: Birds & Butterflies

Queen Bee Journaling..  Botanicals XL

Small Words

D’Inkables - Honeycombe

Die - Birds & Butterflies

Washi Tape

Ink : Versafine Clair - Nocturne

Distress Oxide - Black Soot

Light pink & fushsia paint

Gesso

Ecoline Pen - Carmine 318

Texture Paste

Distress Collage Medium

Clear Embossing Powder

ATCoin: mdf or die cut circular piece of card

 (2 1/2inch diameter)

Paint coin with Gesso, dry & paint with light pink paint & dry.. tear some thin strips of washi tape and add to coin. Dry brush a deeper pink around the edges & again, dry. Cover coin with Distress Collage Medium to give the coin an even surface & dry.

Spread some fine texture paste through stencil to one side of the coin, it doesn’t have to be exact. Leave to dry.

Meanwhile stamp & emboss a butterfly in black ink & a clear powder. When cooled, die cut the stamped butterfly & some book pages too. Ink the ‘book page’ butterflies with Distress Oxide.

Stamp some foliage around the edges in Versafine Clair, make sure it’s dry then add some red to the leaves.

When the texture paste is dry add some Ecoline Carmine in between the hexagons & water down with a water brush, dabbing with a cloth to diffuse slightly, dry.

Glue the centre of each butterfly together, colour the Butterfly (I used some of the pink paint watered down & the Ecoline pen) & glue to coin

Stamp a sentiment & add to complete you coin.

Have a lovely weekend & thanks for stopping by ... Ann xx
