Bee Colourful by DT Ann

Bee Colouriful

By DT Ann

This week has been hectic, prepping samples!!! I decided to create a card with some white space .. this gives the eye a rest from a busy background. I love these colours together toooo!

I used:

Distress Oxide Inks: Pink Flamingo/Twisted Citron/Mowed Lawn/Candid Apple

Versafine Clair Ink: Tulip Red

Stamps: Bee Monarchy /Scripted Bee/Typewriter Alpha

Dies: Bee Monarchy

Inkable: Honeycombe Multi

Slims Acrylic Block

7”x 7” card blank

Cut a piece of white card 6 1/2” x 6 1/2” (16cm x 16cm). Use the Scripted Bee stamp as a background by placing onto a Slim acrylic block.  Ink up the stamp using Twisted Citron, avoiding (or wipe the ink off ) the bee & stitching, to give less of an edge

Wipe your stamp, as you don’t want to contaminate the next colour & repeat this with Pink Flamingo, overlapping slightly...

Remove the stamp from the block & freehand stamp different elements from the stamp to create your background using Pink Flamingo & Twisted Citron...

There are some numbers in the background & to repeat them I used a few numbers from the Typewriter Stamp set onto a block & stamp using Mowed Lawn & Candid Apple...

Add some more depth in your background by using Mowed Lawn, try using rule of three...

Add a few crowns, to add depth I used Versafine Clair Tulip Red...

Then use the Honeycombed Inkable & Mowed Lawn...

On a separate piece of paper stamp the largest bee from the Bee Monarchy in Tulip Red Versafine Clair ink, cover in clear embossing powder, shake off the excess & heat until melted. When cool cover in Pink Flamingo ink with a blending tool, go over the edges...

Die cut the bee & add to your card using foam pads or 3D glue... Stamp the word Bee in the red, die cut & add to your card... mat & layer on to your card ( I used a bright pink piece of thin card)...

That’s it .. all done!!

Thank you for stopping by.... Ann xxx
