Alison CT - Doodle Art Bee

Hi everyone, today I thought I would share how I created this card using the doodled bee stamp.

To begin, cut a piece of Talens Art Creation watercolour paper to 6.5 x 4.5 inches and spritz with water. Scribble the pastel blue Ecoline pen onto a super skinny slim. Using a wet paint brush pick up the ink and apply to the card. Repeat with the sky blue Ecoline pen. Ensure you dry the super skinny slim between colours, so that you don't contaminate your pen with water. Add a few splatz of the darker blue.  Leave to dry naturally.

Using the honeycomb multi 6x6 inkable with a 005 micron pen, draw areas of honeycomb across the background.

Stamp the plain scribbled circle, from the Journal art elements 2 stamp set, three times using Versafine Clair Nocturne.

Stamp the bee both on your background and on a seperate piece of card. I do this to save fussy cutting out the legs and antennae.

Colour the bee using Ecoline brush pens and a paint brush.

Cut the bees body and wings out.

Glue directly over the one stamped on the background. Stamp your chosen sentiment.

Mount on to a piece of blue card, then a 7 x 5 inch card blank.

Products used:
Ecoline pens - sky blue 578, pastel blue 580, deep yellow 202
Inkable 6 x 6 - honeycomb multi
Doodle Art - bee
Wordage - small words 1
Versafine Clair - nocturne

Thank you for taking a look and I hope you enjoyed see how I created this card.
Alison
