I love using colour… these Dylusions paints are so vibrant & the Doodle Art stamps always steer me to the brights … this week is the dragonfly!

Roughly paint some white Gesso onto a page in the black journal, but not to the edges…

 Dry the gesso then loosely paint the 3 colours vertically overlapping slightly…

Make sure the page is dry & add some white Gesso through the Circle Lattice in opposing corners… 

Then add some black Gesso through the Oval Lace Inkable, again in opposite corners. The sponge was almost dry so I just added an extra bit of stencilling in the centre of the page… 

I also added a few lines using an Inkable Texture Disc from set 4 but forgot to take a photo!! 

Whilst everything dries on the page, stamp the Doodle Art Dragonfly 3 times on a separate piece of paper & colour with whatever medium you have. I’ve used watercolours & Derwent Inktense pencils… 

Using a dotting tool I added some dots of paint onto the background. I also used a bottle top dipped in paint to add a few circles…

Add some of the smaller background stamps from the Doodle Art Dragonfly set.. 

Find a sentiment, I used ‘Colour Outside the Lines’ from Mixed Messages #1

Add some extra dots/doodles with white & black pens.

Cut out & glue the dragonflies & sentiment to the journal page…
