Hi all , this week for my step by step guide , I have smaller journal page to show you , 6in x 6in .
Firstly I chose this bright catalyst card from pack #3 . My choice was guided by the colours as I knew I wanted to add some pumpkins and the colours would be a good contrast
This was then torn diagonally and glued on to my page .
Next taking D’inkables from sets 2 and 14 and distress inks Blueprint Sketch and Lucky Clover . I worked on the white space in the middle of the page , connecting the catalyst papers together.
Next to add a stitched boarder with a black sharpie pen and some white gel pen dots to emphasise the leaves .
To add some texture to my page and break up the catalyst card , I added some white textured paste through the diamond patterned D’inkable from set 2 .
For my pumpkins I used the Doodle Art Pumpkins stamp set . Stamping with black ink onto an other catalyst card from set #3 , choosing the bits of pattern which most suited the pumpkin colours .
Here is my finished journal page with a cluster of pumpkins glued down and the sentiment from the pumpkins stamp set , stamped in Blue Print sketch distress inks and mounted on to black card .l also added a few doodled x’s with a pink Posca paint pen just to lift the pink from the back ground .
Thank you for taking a look at my Pumpkin Kisses journal page , I hope this shows pages /cards don’t have to be too complicated to still create impact .
Happy crafting
Calee
