30th Post...

...in 30 days!!!

I said I was going to post every single day in April - just to see if I could and I did it!!!

I really enjoy doing this blog and have to say it has really made me push the boundaries of what to do and when - making new things and being slightly more diverse with my projects.

Also a big WELCOME BACK to Queen Bee and Daddy Bee - my lovely mum and dad back from a break and looking nice and sunkissed - you know that healthy glow that makes you jealous!!!

So tomorrow is the start of another month and it's time for another project so I fully hope that you will come back and have a look at whatever it is I do - I fully intend to bring you some more lovely projects throughout the month of May and of course The new competition where you will have the opportunity to win a fabulous prize.

Hope you are all well and thanks very much for keep coming back.

So who started the singing...

...that made it rain?

Just kidding I am sure you are all wonderful singers!!!

Now who likes the ProMarkers?

Well just some information for you tonight - the Versafine Onyx Black Inkpads are back in stock.  If you are looking for an ink to give you extremely fine detail? An ink that you are able to watercolor or marker over and it won't bleed? Then look no further! This natural oil-based pigment ink dries instantly on matte cardstock. You won't believe it till you see it. Available in a variety of colours which last 3-5 times longer than regular inkpads.  You can find the range stocked at Bee Crafty here.

I have to say having used these (I couldn't resist them when they came) they are wonderful and actually do what they say unlike other products that promise specific results and don't deliver these are no dissapointment.

I haven't forgotten about that competition - we are just finalising prizes and what it is you have to do to win!

Hope you're all ok

Happy Monday!!!

How you all doing???

Well we had a little Demo in the shop on Saturday with Lucy and George
and here's what they did
Using the Moments in Time topper and Flowersoft Ultra fine for the grass and hair

I think you would agree this is a beautiful card and great for boys - the ones that are the hardest to cater for!

Some of the other creations they came up with are below and all of the Flowersoft Products that they used can be found on our website here.

Using the Moments in time Girls Flowers Topper

This one is with the Hedgerow Friends Kicking up Leaves Topper
The colour from the hedgehog was made from 2 colours - Black and Toffee in the Ultrafine and again it looks great so remember don't just look at the colours and see them on their own - a little bit of mixing them up can create something wonderful.

Our next Demo day with be on Saturday 15th May with Lucy and George who will be demonstrating the Wild Rose Studio Stamps and also as a special treat Dulcie from Wild Rose will be joining us at Bee Crafty on the day - so put it on your calendar as it's a date not to miss.

Also that day there is the Reverse Canvas workshop with MJM - The Art Tart.  There are just a couple of spaces left on this class.
This fantastic workshop runs from 10am - 1pm
This beautiful reverse canvas project will make a fantastic addition to any home deco, and once you've made one you'll want them in every colour for every room.
Want to make one? Well why not book your place, as well as great fro you they make great gifts too.
Workshop includes the full instructions by Michelle Jackson-Mogford, use of all equipment, includes all necessary products, tea/coffee and freshly baked cakes from the on site bakery.

Well I think I should have warned you to get comfy before all that - but i hope you enjoyed and are looking forward to our upcoming projects as much as I am!!!

Hope you are all ok

Do you ever...

...have something really funny and just wish you had something to write it down in?

Well how about this ...
It's just 10cm x 10cm but any notepad or notebook is workable we will hopefully have these ones back in stock soon.
So I took this cute little book and inked the edges in brown (I like a lot of brown ink you may have guessed by now)
Took a piece of BG Blush paper and inked the edges adhering with Herma
Then I took a piece of brown cardstock and cut a smallish rectangle - no specific size and you guessed it - ink the edges!!!
Next I have taken a piece of Sandylion His & Hers Lovely Memo and cut a section from the opposite side as his has some lovely co-ordinating lines on.  I have written on it and then just dotted onto the ends of each letter - this just adds a nice touch I think.
Oh I also added some gems to the corners as you can see
lastly but by no means least I just popped somestamped swirls top and bottom to finish and that was it!!!!

So next time something or someone funny says and does something - write in here - you might need it as ammunition one day!!!  Or just to remind yourself of something great when you need a little lift.

Hope you're all ok

Key to the door...

...of life or a New home?
Well it could be either but I decided to make one for a new home.
I used a sheet of cardboard
Pencil a line around the key and then cut it out and peel the top layer off to reveal the corrugated inner
then cover with Brown ink
I printed off the computer the words A New Home but you could to this with a stamp or any other way that you add sentiments to your projects.
I've then distressed it and layered onto some brown card
adding to the key at an appropriate place and then tying organza ribbon around the key
lastly 2 pieces of card candy and a piece of twine for the hanging part and it's ready to hang on the wall (or wherever you decide)

I quite like this.  It's a project that can be altered to whichever situation you match to a key and you don't have to make it as a hanging - it can be a card if you put the template onto a folded card?

Well hope you liked it

The weekend is nearly here!!!

Oh and what a lovely start as it's so beautiful!!!

Well yesterday Bev came to pick up Princess Abi and brought me this...
and said to me "what would you do with this?" (i'll tell you what it's actual job is later)
so...
I rubbed black and pink ink all over - not to cover - just highlight
The pink is quite faint but I like it...
....next I added some pink tisue paper that I had from something else (goodness knows what!)
At this point you could add allsorts ....
I decided to show my  "I can't live without these" crafting items

The Herma glue roller at the front as it makes a lot of what I do much quicker!!!
Inkpad in the back there and the rest will be fairly obvious

This is something that could be used for giving gifts - especially to crafty people as they would use it for something else after or alter it in some way.

Now the actual job it had to begin with was carrying cake!!!  Which is an important job in itself!
At the park where we are there is now a new brasserie style restaurant called Fusion Too and this is how they present their cakes - gorgeous!

Also today I had to make a card for my friends little girl - she asked for something plain but girly so I did this...
with the patterned paper Foam Printed Pink Flush
I don't think it needed much more - her name in glittered letters and a butterfly I hope that this is exactly what she wanted.  We don't have that partiticular butterfly but if you wanted something similar you might find something here.

Have a good weekend everyone

Clowns to the left of me ...

...Jokers to the right?

I think thats how it goes anyway!!!

Well here I am again with another little snippet of crafty work and today my topic is something I have used quite recently but in minature!!!

It's a mini canvas!!!
So it came like this
I used the bigger one (approx 7x5cm) and then rubbed a red inkpad all over it
and then again in black
Take a minature playing card and "rough up" and ink the edges in something that co-ordinates - it doesn't have to match exactly just tone in your colours!
I took some red gros grain spotty ribbon and inked in black to tie in the black and red shades theme and tied it around the canvas and knotted at the side
Next add the playing card with some 3d foam for depth, i also added at this stage some red stick on gems with a light black inking so that the red could still be seen
Last but by no means least a chipboard letter (I chose A for my Alex who is a joker) and popped a red gem on and that was it!

Something slightly different for a change and good fun - as usual I am now covered in ink!!!

Hope you're all having fun

My Little Princess!!!

It's all about Abi today!!!

Mainly because she'll be coming to play tomorrow and who knows if I'll get a chance to do anything.  For those of you that don't know Abigail is my darling niece who I truly adore.  Everything she does has an element of naughty even when she's being really good and thats what makes her brilliant.

With that in mind I have just done this...
She was just a teeny baby and this photo was taken in hospital by her very tired mummy!

So what did I use and how?
The Bo Bunny Sophie Range
Firstly I took the Sophie Bouquet page first and selected a piece that was going create a flourish style on the Sophie Joy Die Cut piece
Then spent time with a good craft knife and a pair of detail scissors and did this to the piece I cut out
It does take a bit of time but is most definately worth it.
Next was taking a 6"x4" photo and i cut around the two of us - as I mentioned it was taken in hospital and the walls were an odd colour but this takes that out and leaves the content in!
So I had a look in my chipboard drawer and found this little piece of shaped chipboard - and decided to draw round it on the oppposing side of the Sophie Bouquet which is a beautiful shade of blue with faint lines - Ideal for journalling
I cut this out and then inked the edges with a memento dewdrop in Sweet Plum
I then constructed the whole thing and added the journalling to the shaped piece afterwards and this is what I got

It's a lovely page and I am really happy with it.

Hope you're all well

Tin of a different kind!!!

Hiya everyone

Hope you're all ok.  I am (don't tell anyone) a bit of a soppy one sometimes and when I get the chance I will pop a little note for lunchtime into my hubby's lunch bag.  If I had a few pre-made this would be a lot easier so I altered a little tin to keep them in that holds the ATC size cards.
So you need a tin and some ATC size cards the cards can just be cut to
size from blank cardstock though
I chose patterned paper from the Basic Grey Archaic Range
and cut to fit the particular tin I had (the small bit is to go around the top)
Ink all of the edges in a co-ordinating colour.
I attached the top one first (doesn't really matter)
I attached the second one and the striped were opposites if that makes sense.
Next I took an ATC and cut it exactly in half - inked the edges and just handwrote on it
Add some gold ink to the edges (if you wan to) and a good lot of organza ribbon tied aroud the handle and there you go it's finished

Now all you need to do is the cards to go inside (I'll do those another day!!)

Have fun with this one
