Marleen DT - "Heartfelt Abi"

Morning everyone..

Once again wednesday and once again my turn for a bit of inspiratio.

This week I have used the "Heartfelt Abi" stamp with matching sentiment.
Here is what i have made:

A simple matting and layering project. Used a punch to round the corners and another punch to make the edges. I used a circle die as well as a scallop die to cut my images out.

To do my images, I simple stamped "Heartfelt Abi" twice and cut her out with my circle die.
I coloured her in with distress markers.

The sentiment comes with Abi and is stamped strait on to my card.

I have to say, I love the way this card came out. I LOVE yellow but i dont use it often enough in my crafting so it was a delight to work with my favorite colour. i also love the idea of using the same stamp like this. The images looks "different" even though its the same..

But anyway, that is it from me for today.
Thank you for stopping by and for any comments left behind.

HO HO HO Merry Christmas

Good Morning to Everyone,

Wow its back to me, these weeks are flying past.

Today I am sharing for you a Christmas tag. The tag is probably for a really big present but you can resize it to suit your needs.

I took a plain piece of card stock and used my red brick distress ink and inked the background.. I didn't want just a solid colour so thought this would work well.

I took my stamp he is from the Yuletide range and is "Claus" and stamped it on to 300gsm white stamping card, and coloured his face with promarker pens, I added glossy accents to his glasses and stickles glitter glue to his beard and hair.

I matted this onto red and gold card stock.

I added a bordered and inked this in green, and added gems to the center of each point.

The poinsettia is a die cut and I coloured this in using two different reds and layered them up, I added gold gems to the center of the flowers. To finish it off I added red spotty ribbon.

I adore this Santa he is so cute and makes me feel like I could just have a cuddle of the "real" Santa.

That is it for me for this week, don't forget to pop back and see what Sue has on offer for you tomorrow.

Don't forget as well you can find "Bee Crafty" on Facebook we have a lovely little group that you can share your creations in.

Time to experiment

Good morning all.  I'm back with my weekly post for bee crafty.  I am definitely in holiday mode now, I've been experimenting this week with gesso.  My mum has asked me to do a canvas for her :-/ but still feel I need lots of practise with different mediums so I am trying out lots of things on a smaller scale.

For this card I have used:

I applied a thin coat of gesso to my card (I used a thin piece of chipboard) and dried and then added the gesso a bit thicker with a pallets knife and played with it until I achieved the desired texture. I let this dry for a while on its own and then helped it along a bit with my heat gun.  Once dried I sprayed with my chosen colours of dylusions and dried.  Using the stencil I sprayed water which lightens the stencilled area I then left this to dry.  Once dried I stamped and heat embossed the life sentiment then I stamped the leaves and maidenhair stamps in black ink.  I applied a small amount of glaze from my stash to the outer edges of the shape.  To give the leaves some dimension I added glossy accents and some glitter and then just glossy accents to the maiden hair

Thank you for taking the time  to read  my post.  I am going to make sure I try something a little different each week now.  It certainly helps to keep crafting interesting.  I have tried lots of things in the past that hasn't always been successful but I don't let it put me off trying again.

Happy crafting,

Big hugs,
Clare. X x x

Marleen DT - "Glad Lg"

Morning everyone..

Time for a spot of inspiration from me.
This wee ive once again used the  "Glad Lg" stamp.
Only this week, I used it as a centerpiece.
This card was a pre-cut apperature card. It was also embossed, making this card ultra fast.
If you dont have a precut or embossed card, you can very simple make one yourself.

I took a pencil and made a faint line following the apperture.
I then opened the card and stamped my  "Glad Lg" stamp.
I closed the card a again and had a play with my  distress inks and pens.

THe greeting and the flowers was all from my stash, also all pre made so it was really quick.

The inside of my card. The lines are drawn with distress marker and then smudged with a bit of water.

And that is it from me for today.
Thanks for stopping by and for any comments left behind.

Butterfly Flutterfly

Hi Everyone,

How are we all today?

Today's  card I have concentrated on just the Inkables Masks that you can get from Bev and  how they can look without having to be mega grungy with them.

 I used
Inkable - Honeycombe Mask

So I cut down my card stock to 5.25 x 5.25 inches.

I matted this with the next layer that I cut to just under 5 x 5 this layer was plain white cardstock and it was run through my calibre with the  Chain Link Fencing mask, once it was embossed I used my Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and inked through the stencil. This is about as inky as I get.

Next I cut a strip the same width but about 4 inches high, I used a border punch to punch along the bottom, I then ran this through the calibre with the "Honeycombe" mask.  I very gently ran a make up sponge done the edges with some of the worn lipstick.  Before adhering it I added a piece of ribbon and tied it with a bow.

Next I stamped out using the worn Lipstick the sentiment "Hugs and Kisses" and matted this up.

For the Butterflies I cut different size butterflies out, and embossed these with the Honeycomb mask.  I added liquid pearls down the centre of the butterflies.

To finish the card I added three pieces of card candi down at the bottom.

I hope you like the card, and don't forget to pop back tomorrow to see what Sue has for you - I am sure she will have something special for you as normal.

Take care see you next Monday

Who said christmas can't be pink?

Well I made it. I am finally on my holidays!  After a week of being at school until 9pm every night I am totally exhausted.  I am so ready for my holidays I have lots planned, no trips as of yet but need to recharge my batteries this week.

Yes I know it's only July but I couldn't resist having a little play with this lovely christmas tree stamp from Bee Crafty.

For this card I have used:

I stamped christmas tree and christmas greeting onto my card and then heat embossed with black ep.  I brushed on my background in picked raspberry and then stamped around the edge of the card using black ink and the top of the christmas tree to create a border.  Finally I added liquid pearls and some glitter over the hills and then pearly dots to the sky to create a snowy atmosphere.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post today.  I am very much hoping to find my mojo and get my crafting back on track.  Hope to see you soon.

Big hugs,

Rose Garden Abi, Flower Power

Good Morning All.

How was your weekend?

Today I have for you a card that I think would go great for an female occasion, thank you, thinking of you, birthday or just hello.

Today's card I created using a die for the shape of the card. I matted this up with white and purple card stock, using different sizes for layers.

For the final layer of the white card just behind the image I used the Inkable "Honeycomb full" mask and ran it through to give it an embossed texture. I stamped my Rose Garden Abi stamp and coloured her with promarker pens. I added fake stitching around her and used a border punch to punch down one edge of her layer. I added two pieces of ribbon, a dark purple ribbon and then a sheer purple ribbon, I tied a knot bow at one end. I added three butterflies, and card candi and then used the "Flower Power" stamp that you get with the main stamp plate.

Isn't she really cute!  I love her and I think she can be used for some many different occasions.

Don't forget Sue will be with us tomorrow for some more of her wonderful creations.

Here is what i have made:

For this card I made a back ground using a mask and distress inks. I used 3 different colours here.
I then stamped the "Maidenhair" stamp as well as the "Glad Lg" stamp on to my card.
As well as that , I stamped the "maidenhair" on to a spare piece of card stock and cut it out.
The cut out,  added ontop of the stamp on my card using pinflair to give it the extra dimention.

Yellow, Grey and A Tin Man

Hi Guys,

Thanks for stopping back in today.

Today I have a card that is great for a male.

To create the card I folded and created an A5 Card base, matted with a grey layer. I added fake stitching to this layer to give the eye somewhere to stop. Next I cut down some stamping card to fit within the grey. I used a yellow ink pad and stamped the "Bark Positive" background stamp. I repeated this to create three sections. On the bottom layer I added twine and finished it with a knot. I matted this on 2 layers of foam tape and placed it at the bottom, the middle section is on one layer of foam tape and the top section I glued down flat.  I then used a yellow piece of card blank cut it down using a circle die, and used my grand calibre to run it through with my Inkables "Honeycomb" mask to give the embossing to it. Finally I stamped my "Tinman" stamp added stitching around him and matted him onto the grey card stock, I cut a shape out for the sentiment and used the Wordage "Thank You" Stamp, and added three pieces of card candi.

That is all for me for today, don't forget to pop back tomorrow for more creations from Sue.
