  Did you see Bev and Sam on Create and Craft on Tuesday? 

Here are the samples I made for the show using the new inkables, handwritten words, faces stamps and journal art elements.

First up is a moody mixed media card using distress crackle texture paste.

It Doesn't Need To Make Sense Card - CT Sharon

Hi did you manage to get your new stamps and stencils from the show? Some of them sold out pretty quick so I hope you did!

Today I'd like to show you a card using the Journal Art Elements #3 and Handwritten Words #2 stamp sets and the Splat Inkable big one. 

First I inked up the splat stencil with Salvage Patina and Saltwater Taffy oxide ink and then sprayed it with water. I then laid it onto my piece of white cardstock. I let it sit for a minute and then dabbed it with a paper towel. This gives a nice watercolour background.

Next using the grid stamp from the art elements set #3 I stamped it into the corners with a black ink. I used my stamping platform so that I could rotate the card to make sure all the corners were in the right place.

I then stitched around my card very randomly in black ink to give it a border.

I couldn't leave the beautiful heart stamp out so I did the same again by using my stamping platform and rotating the card. The hearts have been stamped using Dusty Concorde oxide ink.

To make the sentiment I stencilled the splat onto some white cardstock with the same inks and then stamped the sentiment from the Handwritten words #2 in black ink and clear embossed it. I then cut the sentiment into strips. 

To finish the card I adhered the sentiment onto the card and then layered the piece onto black cardstock and then onto my white card blank.

This week I’ve used the New Faces stamps released yesterday… 

Stamps: New Faces See Me Stamps

Inkables:Texture Disc set 2

Distress Oxides: Forest Moss, Crushed Olive & Black Soot

Journal 

Versafine Clair Nocturne 

White & Black Pens

Squish some Forest Moss Distress Oxide ink onto a craft or glass mat… dip an acetate sheet over the ink & then lightly press onto a journal page. 

Repeat the process a few times & then again with Crushed Olive… 

Stamp the Face:

Seen in Versafine Clair Nocturne onto your background, re-ink stamp again but onto thin copy paper .. 

Cut out the image you stamped onto copy paper & mask the one on your journal page with it. Using the grid stamp from Elements 3 stamp around the face…

Add a few extra lines using a Micron pen… 

Add a few squares using the stamp from the See Me stamp set…  

Then add a few ‘line dots’ from the See Me stamp in Forest Moss… 

Randomly stencil through the chevron Texture Disc from set 2, with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink… 

Stamp a sentiment from the handwritten Words 2 set & finally add some doodles with a white & black pen…

 Hope you were able to catch the amazing Bee Crafty program on Create and Craft showcasing the stunning additions to the Faces range and the new Inkable Big Ones. I have really enjoyed playing with these new stamps. Here are my samples ...

1. Dylusions acrylic paint background, stamped and heat embossed stamps from Seen, Handwritten Words set 2 and Journal art Elements 3.

2. The background is a mop up card with ink and paint. Stamps from Seen, Whatever Works and Journal Art Elements 3.

3. I inked pink, yellow and blue through the Bubbles/Circles Big One, doodled around the circles with a black fine liner pen, linked some extra circles. Handwritten Words Set 2 sentiment.

4.  Smooshed Speckled Egg, Spun Sugar & Weathered Wood distress oxides, stamped & heat embossed Seen. Stamped Journal Art Elements 3 in same inks onto base card. 

5.  I inked pink, blue and yellow Harmony inks through the foot ball Big One then used the Tim Holtz embossing dabber over the inked circles and heat embossed with clear embossing powder (twice to give a glossy tile effect)

6.  Dylusions acrylic paint background, stamps from See Me, Journal Art Elements 3 and Handwritten Words set 2.

7.   Tag inked with yellow, pink & blue Harmony inks, black texture paste through Splats Big One and sentiment from Handwritten words set 2.

8.  Distress Oxide & Distress Inks, gorgeous guy from See Me, Journal Art Elements, new Splats and Circles Big Ones and Handwritten Words Set 2. Played Tic Tac Toe (Noughts and Crosses) with the little icon stamps from See Me set.

9.   Dylusions acrylic paints background, stamped and heat embossed paint swirl & circle stamps from Art Elements 3, sentiment from Handwritten Words 2.

10.  Used the left over card from my Green and Yellow See Me sample to make a complementary set of ATC's. Stamps from See Me, Journal Art Elements 3 and Handwritten Words Set 2

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a page in my small white Dina Wakely Media journal.

Begin by smooshing salty ocean distress oxide onto a piece of acetate. Spritz lightly with water, then dab on to a blank page. Dry thoroughly.

Repeat with Villainous Potion and Candied Apple distress oxide. Dry between colours.

Tear a length of tape off the formulas and graphs washi. Tear this strip in half and apply vertically to the page with the two straight edges touching. Use collage medium to stick it down, so it remains in place.

Using Versafine Clair nocturne ink stamp the distressed dots border horizontally across the middle of the page.

Using the ledger stamp with black ink and your fingers, rather than an acryluc blick, add it centrally on the page. Don't over inkit, as it needs to fade into the background and doesn't need to be a clear print. Then without reinking stamp it in the top left and bottom right corner.

On a seperate piece of card stamp the nibs and inkwell using black ink. Cut them out.

Glue them across the centre of the page. Use a ruler to keep them steaight.

Stamp your chosen sentiment. Cut out and glue to the page.
