Sally CT - Shrink plastic Earrings

Hi There! There were some lovely comments last week about the earrings, so I thought you might like to see a step by step for them.

First I stamped the mandala twice onto sanded frosted shrink plastic and, once dry, I cut them out. I used black brilliance ink for this, or you could use stazon. I punched a small hole in each one.
I used colouring pencils to add a bit of colour to match the beads I had chosen.

Next I shrank the mandalas with a heat gun, turning regularly and then flattening with an acrylic block once fully shrunk.
Using pliers I added silver jump rings through the holes I had made.
Next I threaded three beads onto each of the eye pins and bent the end round with the pliers to make another loop.
I attached each set of beads to the jump rings
Finally I added an earring hook to the top of each set of beads.
I use the largest of the tag dies as a presentation card for the earrings. I made two holes in it with a pokey tool.
I used:
Brilliance ink (or Stazon)
Sandpaper
Coloured pencil
2 jump rings
2 eye pins,
6 beads
2 earring hooks
round nosed pliers
Tweezers
Hole punch

Alison CT - Tulip journal page

Hi everyone, today I thought I would show you how I made this journal page, using the free gift sent out with the Mandala stamps on release day.

To beging glue five pieces of old book page (I have used a page from my school days Complete Shakespeare which is now falling apart) to one of the cotton paper pages in the Dina Wakely mixed media journal. Leave to allow the glue to dry.

Sprinkle Neptune and Aphrodite explosion powders diagonally across the page, spritz with water and leave it to work and dry naturally.

Using the ledger stamp (do not place on an acrylic block) randomly add nocturne versafine clair to it. Stamp, using your hand and fingers, towards the top left of the page. Repeat but stamp towards the bottom right of the page, allowing some overlap with the first image. Using your fingers gives a softer stamped image.
Using the arrow inkable tag and black soot distress ink, add 3 areas of arrows. Using the stars cluster from the Over the Moon stamp set with Hero Arts Unicorn ink and add random clusters over the coloured area.

Stamp the tulip on to a piece of mixed media card using black ink, then cut it out, edge with a black pen and glue it centrally to the page.

Stamp your chosen sentiment from the Life Words 1 set onto mixed media card with black ink. Cut out and edge with black pen, then glue to your page.

Products used:
Pretty Gets Gritty explosion powders - Neptune and Aphrodite
Distress Ink - Black Soot
Black pen
Mixed media card
Old book page

Mandalas #1

Hi everyone , well we have quite a bit of snow here in Scotland and it's freezing. So hope you are all keeping warm and safe if you have snow or have had the storms.

Today I'd like to show you some of my samples I made using the Mandala #1.

This card was so easy to make but with the bright colours I think it looks really effective. I stamped the mandalas onto the background with bright oxide inks. I then coloured the main mandala by using the oxides as watercolours. I then layered the main layer onto a piece of black card to make it pop.

For this landscape card I cut a kraft card panel and stamped and then clear embossed the mandalas in black ink. I used a white Posca pen to highlight certain areas. I then white embossed the sentiment to match the highlights. Layered onto white card and then onto kraft card blank.

Another simple card. I've paired up the mandala with art stamps and gold embossed them all onto black cardstock and then given it a gold layer.

For this card I blended oxide inks in strips to make the background. I then lightly sprayed over some water to add some texture. Once it was fully dry I white embossed the mandalas. For the sentiment strip I stamped one of the mandalas randomly over the white strip with oxides and layered it onto pink card. I then stamped the words from the Winter words stamp set in black ink.

Have a lovely weekend 😊

 Sue CT - Mandala Stamps

Hi everyone, I hope you are all Ok after the storms this week and have managed to get some crafting done. This week I have been playing with the gorgeous Doodle Art Mandala stamps in my 8x8 journal.

Supplies I Have Used

White Posca Pen

First of all, I started by using the various circle stencils listed above and used the yellow and orange inks to add some colour to the page.

I then decided to use some Distress crackle paste through the Bubbles stencil to add some extra texture. Before I used it though I added some Crackling Campfire Distress ink to the paste on my blending mat to give it some colour.

Here is a close up when wet and once dried so you can see the difference.

I then stamped some of the mandala stamps from set one onto some Ecoline paper and used Ecolines to colour the images. I cut several of the main images into layers to add some depth to the focal point.

I also stamped 3 of the sentiments from the Ticker Tape set 1 and embossed them with black embossing ink and cut them apart. I placed them on the page and decided that it needed some blue tones in the background so added some more circles to the page using Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers Distress inks.

Once everything was completely dry, I added some more detail to the mandala motifs using a Posca pen and used collage medium to attach everything to the page.

I hope you enjoyed this page. Please have a good week and stay safe.

Two Tags in One by DT Ann

Two Tags in One

By DT Ann

After all the rain over the weekend I decided I needed some sunshine… what better inspiration did I need to use yellow as my main colour!

STAMPS:

Using a blending tool apply Squeezed Lemonade Oxide Ink on the bottom third of tag one. Spritz water on to the excess ink left on your mat & smoosh the second tag through it & let it dry.

Continue to blend Mustard Seed & Fossilised Amber onto the first tag, smooshing the second tag through any excess ink & dry in between.

Spritz the Tag Inkable with water & place carefully over your first tag, let it sit for a minute for the ink & water to react. Place some kitchen towel over to absorb the excess water. Remove the towel & tag. Using the ink that has lifted onto the Inkable, press onto your second tag, leaving it to sink in…

When the tags are dry add another layer using the bubble mandala from set #1 & Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide Ink…

Make sure both tags are dry, dust with an anti static bag & stamp with Versafine Clair Cheerful (you could use Versamark ink) cover with Ranger Embossing Powder, Buttercup, remove, heat & cool.

Repeat, with the Buttercup, on a spare piece of white paper (twice). Cut the Mandalas out & in half…

Stamp & emboss (in black) the large Mandala (set #1) twice. Colour each one, I used Ecoline Brush Pens, & cut out the ‘flower’ …

For the Green one :201•601•522•654•656

For the Pink one : 201•311•318•337

For the last elements stamp two sentiments in black.. for the first tag I used one from Ticker Tape#2 & one from Phrases & Sentiments for the second…

Glue all the elements onto the tags, add some dots with a black pen & some ribbon or twine… loaded a few sparkles onto tag one….

Thank you for stopping by… Ann xxx

Caroline - Mandala - Marvellous Day

It is very therapeutic colouring in these mandala stamps by Bee Crafty!

I used Distress Oxides to colour and used an acrylic paint on a white card and created the background to the mandala.

Layered onto paper and then added the mandala with foam tape and added a gem in the centre.

Added the sentiment which I heat embossed.

Sally CT - Doodle Art Mandala samples

Hi there! Here are the samples I made with the brand new Bee Crafty Doodle Art Mandala stamps that were launched on Facebook last Tuesday. First are some shrink plastic earrings.

This mandala was stamped over a Dylusions paint background and coloured with gelly Roll moonlight pens.
This card was made using some shaving foam marbling made with dylusions sprays. The mandala was painted with the spray ink and layered up with 3d glue.
This was done in a similar way to the last card.
A simple silver embossed card that could be used for just about any special occasion, such as a wedding, anniversary, birthday, engagement or general good news.
This one was gold embossed over a distress oxide background dried under scrunched cling film.
Simple stamping in 3 shades of distress oxide ink.
This one was stamped and embossed in black then coloured with ecoline pens.

This gatefold card has one mandala stamped over the base card and a second layered up to form the centrepiece of the card.
Like my teamie Ann, this mandala reminded me of roses, so I stamped it in distress oxide ink, adding leaves using a dinkable then doodling over them.
This card too was simply stamped with distress oxide inks before colouring and layering up one of the larger mandalas as a centrepiece.

Finally, Here is the card I made in the 6pm Facebook live on the day which you can find here on YouTube.
The Doodle Art Mandala bundle can be found here on the website.
Alternatively, Set one and set two are available separately.
