Alison CT - Cone Flowers

Hi everyone today I'm sharing some more inspiration for Sally's challenge. I've used watercolour and acrylic paints to complete this art journal page.

To begin I used matte medium to glue some old book page and music manuscript to the page.

I liberally spritzer the page with water then added a purple and green from my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints. I left this to dry naturally.
I freehand stamped areas of the crackle background stamp using a black ink.

Next using the abstract line dinkable from set 14 I added some white gesso to the page.

Then I added some lines using the dinkable from set 12 and lavender acrylic paint. I also added some dots using the dinkable from set 15 and watery acrylic paint.
I stamped 3 Cone Flowers onto a piece of craft card with black ink. I coloured them with distress watercolour pencils and normal colouring pencils. I then cut them out.

I used pva glue to adhere the flowers to the background.
I cut the word beautiful from the transparency sheet and used matte medium to glue it to some craft card and cut it out. I then added it to the page.
Products used:
Dinkables sets - 12, 14, 15
Transparency prints - Beautiful and Brave
Old book page and music manuscript
Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints
Dina Wakley acrylic paints - lavender,  watery
Dina Wakley white gesso
Colouring pencils
Distress watercolour pencils

Thank you for taking a look. I hope I've inspired you to take part in the challenge.

Calee CT - Then take pictures.

Hi , this week I have been playing in my journal and  have a double page spread for you ,as my step by step guide .

The first step was to choose a catalyst collage paper , this one from the Painted  Gaze pack appealed to me . There is lots of “empty” space to create on in the centre .

Next I trimmed the white edge off and cut the paper down slightly to leave a border of my page showing . The paper was then glued down over lapping the centre of the page .

Next I used Inkables from set 15 across both pages to link the blank side of my journal page to the catalyst collage paper . Picking colours from the catalyst collage paper I used Mermaid Lagoon  and Spiced Marmalade distress inks

Next using some flowers and scraps from another catalyst collage paper in the same pack . I added to my background , keeping the flowers to glue down later when I had decide where they would fit best .

My next step was  to add more interest to my background with stamps from the Journaling Essentials #9 using distress ink Barn Door and Black Soot . Looking at my page I was unhappy with the straight edge of the catalyst paper against the journal page , so with a black pen I scribbled a doodled line over the join and in various place on my page . Then added a bold stitched border.

After this  I stamps out some leaves from the Journaling Essentials #7 stamp set , for this I used distress ink Mermaid Lagoon, laying down some ink on the white card before stamping the leaf over the top , this gave me a tone on tone leaf .

Using the cover sheet from the Painted Gaze catalyst collage papers I choose this design and mounted it on to black card and added a stitched boarder frame, creating a small photo style topper .

Taking this sentiment from the Hand Written words 1 stamp set I stamped on to a piece of old paper keeping  the distressed colour palette .

The last step then was to glue everything down to my page in a design I was happy with .
Thank you for taking a look this week
Happy crafting
Calee
These are the products I used for my journal page :
A while gel pen for highlights and details and a black sharpie for doodles .

Sally CT - Smile Sunshine Painty Journal page

Hi There! I am here with a Journal page for my blog post this week. More painting inspiration for the Bee Crafty Stamps facebook group challenge.

I began by painting a page with black gesso then adding a white gesso 'star' over it.
Once this was dry, I used the latest Dinkables to add some spots and dashes with dylusions paint in mushy peas and peony Blush.
Next I added a piece of catalyst Collage paperand edged round it with a black paint marker.
When it was dry I added faux stitching using a bright pink gelly roll Moonlight pen.
Around the page I added some stamping using Peeled Paint and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink with some of the worker stamps from Journaling Essentials 9.
Finally I added a wordy Sticker sentiment, adding a bit more faux stitching and a black border
Here is the finished page again.

I used:
Black gesso
White Gesso
Dylusions paint - I used Peony Blush and Mushy Peas
Distress oxide ink - I used Peeled Paint and Picked Raspberry

Alison CT - Rainbow Thoughts

Hi everyone today I'm sharing some inspiration for Sally's challenge in the Bee Crafty Facebook group. This month the theme is Paint, so for this page I have used some of my Dylusions acrylic paints to create a background.
To begin, I dry brushed some rose quarts paint on to the central area of the page.
Then, I carefully tore out the image from the A5 Rainbow Thoughts collage paper.
I used matte medium to glue the image over the painted area of the page.
Then I dry brushed laidback lilac around the outer edges of the page. I left this to dry thoroughly before doing any more to the page.
I blended shaded lilac distress oxide through the line and circle dinkable from set 15 in three places on the page.
I blended picked raspberry distress oxide through the star dinkable from set 15 in several places.
Next I sponged white linen Dylusions paint through the dotty dinkable from set 15.
I, then, sponged rose quarts Dylusions paint through the lines dinkable from set 15.
Finally, as there was no black on the page, I wanted a delicate, small sentiment, so I used two of the smaller sentiments from the Creative Words black on clear Transparency Prints.
Products used:
Distress Oxide Ink Pads

Thank you for taking a look at. I hope I've inspired you to have a go at the challenge.

Sally CT - Paint Challenge inspiration

Hi There! I am here with a little inspiration for the new challenge over in the Bee Crafty Stamps Facebook group, where the challenge is 'Paint'.

I began by painting the background of my coaster with Dylusions paints.
When this was dry I added some white gesso through the Bakewell Big one inkable.
Using the worker stamps from the doodle Art Cone Flower stamp set, I added a little stamping in black Versafine Clair ink.
On a separate piece of card, I stamped the smaller cone Flower in the same ink and cut it out. I coloured it using distress inks.
Finally I added it to the background along with some wordy stickers, adding some faux stitching with a gel pen and a fine liner.
Here it is once more.
I used:
Black Versafine Clair ink
Distress inks  - I used Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed and Rustic Wilderness
White Gesso
Dylusions paints - I used Crushed Grape, Periwinkle and Polished Jade

Thanks for looking and I hope it has inspired you to enter the Bee crafty Stamps Facebook Group challenge.
