Afternoon crafters. Hope you've all had a good week. Did you all catch Sam's shows yesterday ?
If you managed to get hold of the stamps here's some inspiration on what you can do with them.
Most of the backgrounds were made with distress inks and oxides.

Jane DT - Happy Halloween
Hello!
As it is almost Halloween I thought I would create a seasonal card for my post today on Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty blog...
As it is almost Halloween I thought I would create a seasonal card for my post today on Buzzy Goings on at Bee Crafty blog...
The recent All Hallows collection that was on HOCHANDA is ideal for this type of project and I decided to recreate one of my previous samples but with different products and a much lighter style.
The products used were...
I started by stamping the skull background onto a piece of watercolour card and embossing it with white powder. The brusho powders were then sprinkled over the image (orange, purple and emerald green) and spritzed with water. I lifted the excess off with kitchen roll and added more powder where I thought it was needed...
I matted the card onto orange, green and purple to coordinate with the colours before moving onto the other pieces.
I created the bottle and sentiment in the same way as the background, but when I wiped the pieces some of the powder smeared into the embossing, however I decided I quite liked the effect and decided to leave them. These were then cut out and added to the card...
For me this was quite a simple card but I think that the skull background is so lovely it does not need too much adding to it.
Thank you for looking and don't forget to put your clocks back tonight!!
Happy crafting,
Jane xx

Black onyx versafine ink
- To begin I cut two squares of white card, in decreasing size, slightly smaller than my card blank
- I inked the Pocket Watch in Black onyx versafine ink
- I then inked through the two templates in the Fossilized Amber and Peacock Feathers
- The Pocket Watch was then masked off
- The cogs were stamped in all three Distress Oxides, ensuring some were stamped over the masking sheet. This would create the effect of sitting behind the Pocket Watch
- I then removed the mask and stamped two cogs over the edge of the Pocket Watch, to give the illusion of sitting in front of it
- The Owl and Birds On A Wire were stamped in the black versafine, off the edges of the card
- To complete I stamped the TIME section of the sentiment stamp in the Peacock Feathers
I love the versatility of all the Time stamp sets and love creating depth and dimension using the masking technique
I hope you've enjoyed looking through today's post. I'll be back again same time next week with another Bee Crafty make

Marleen DT - Featers and Oxide
Hello Blogger friends..
My turn to share a bit of inspiration for
BeeCrafty.
I have a quick make for today. Its a play with Oxide inks and a selection of BeeCrafty Stamps.
My turn to share a bit of inspiration for
BeeCrafty.
I have a quick make for today. Its a play with Oxide inks and a selection of BeeCrafty Stamps.
I have used the following:
- Water colour Cardstock
- Oxide Inks
- Feather Stamps
- Ink nibs stamp
- Oval wave stamp
This
one started with a "mop-up" background. Basically, smear ink onto your
blending mat, spray with water and drag your card stock through the ink.
Repeat if you wish..
Once I was happy with the background I used the nips and the border stamp and stamped them in matching oxides. I wanted them to blend in. I then sprayed my whole background with a mist of water and set aside to dry.
Once my background was dry I stamped my feather stamp randomly around my background. I finished with a greeting stamped on vellum and a few black gems.

Charlee DT - Steve
Hey everyone. Bit late today. Half term two boys ones 20 months and decided not to take naps. Say no more. So as it's getting close to Halloween I thought I'd bring out good ol' Steve the skull. Hope you enjoy :)
What you'll need:
Step 1:
Cut your white card down to size and blend your oxides on the card. Once covered, take your bubble wrap stamp and lightly spritz with water. Stamp all over the card repeating spritzing with water.
Step 2:
Make sure your card is dry. Place the spiderweb on your card and blend through the inkable with hickory smoke. Keep moving the inkable to different positions on the card. Then blend round the edges of the card also with hickory smoke.
Step 3:
Position the Time sentiment in the place you want on your card. Then matt with some black card and the adhere to your card blank.
That's all for this week. Be sure to tune in to Sam on Hochanda on the 30th for some amazing stamps.
Until next week

Lorre-Anne DT - Have a Marvellous Day
Hi everyone, it's Monday so that means I'm up on the Bee Crafty blog sharing a new DT project with you all. For this weeks project I wanted to keep it simple, and keep quite a bit of white space on my card.
What you need -
- 6" x 6" white card blank
- Black & white card
- Art Stamps - Birds & Butterflies set 1
- Everyday sentiments 1
- Dinkables - Hearts
- Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass & Twisted Citron)
- Onyx Black Versafine ink
- Black organza ribbon
- Glue, Foam pads
What you need to do -
- Cut a square of black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and 2 squares of white slightly smaller again.
- Take one of the white squares and stamp 2 butterflies, mask them off then blend some ink through the template. Blend some Tumbled Glass around the edges.
- Add some colour to the butterflies wings using a water brush and some distress inks. When dry, use a craft knife to cut around the butterflies wings, this will give some dimension to your card as they will rise off the card.
- Use Versafine ink to stamp the sentiment.
- Tie some ribbon around the right hand side of the card.
- Take the other square of white card and splatter some distress inks on to it using a water brush. Use foam pads to attach this to the other white card, and mat to the black card then glue to the card blank.
Close up showing the splattered ink under the wings.
Hugs, Lorre-Anne x

Jane DT - Butterfly Thank You
Hello!
I am back this week with some mini art boards. Sometimes I have wanted to say thank you to someone but a card has not seemed enough so this week I decided to use some mini art boards instead of a card to make a more permanent thank you gift...
To make these boards I used...
* Art Boards
* Large Butterfly - Art Stamps
* XL Script - Backdrops Stamps
* Everyday Sentiments - Wordage Stamps
* Circles - D-Inkables
1) I started by coating the assembled boards with white gesso and then used structure paste through the circle stencil.
2) Once dry I used a selection of acrylic paints to colour the boards then added gilding wax to bring out the texture of the stencilling.
3) The script stamp was applied to add a bit of extra interest in the background.
4) The butterfly was stamped and then clear embossed before being cut out.
5) Using alcohol markers the butterflies were coloured in then a clear sparkle pen put over the top for a bit of bling.
6) Finally the sentiment was stamped and cut out then a little bit of distress ink brushed over to tie in the colours.
Thank you for taking the time to have a look. Happy crafting,
Jane xx

Emily DT - Create Art Tag
Hi everyone,
I have made something a bit different this week and used an MDF tag for my blog project.
Here is what I have made...
Once I was happy with the background I stamped my sentiment onto black card. I cut it out and stuck it onto the tag.
I love the combination of colours and the white ink, which I don't often use.
I hope you like it too!

Here is what I have made...
I started by painting my MDF tag with two colours of Dylusions paint. I blended them together until I was happy with the result.
Once it was dry I created a background by blending through the Metal Work Alpha Inkable, firstly in Dusty Concorde distress ink, and then in white ink.
I also stamped the set of two stars in white ink.

Marleen DT - Hochanda Samples 12th October
Hey Bloggers..
Once again my turn to share some inspiration for
BeeCrafty
BeeCrafty
Today I was to share my samples from last weeks show (the 12th Oct) on Hochanda.
I
love this collection of stamps as I love making backgrounds and just
finishing my cards with a greeting.. And this collection fits perfect
for that.
Find all the stamps and many more goodies over in the online STORE.
Find all the stamps and many more goodies over in the online STORE.
This
was the very first sample I made.. I LOVE the circle art boards BUT I
still dont have much confidence when it comes to the MDF.. I dont know
why as its really just like working on a piece of card.. But this is
what I can up with and the result is growing on me lol..
Anyway, its Lustre Luxe and stamping on stop. Use a waterproof ink to stamp on top of Lustre Luxe. I finished with a bit of Lustre Luxe through one of the Dinkables..

A MDF tag.. and more Lustre Luxe. and more Lustre Luxe through a Dinkable..
And more of the same.. MDF tag, Lustre Luxe, Stamping and more Lustre Luxe through a Dinkable..
This
one got to be my favorite of my samples.. But if you know my crafting,
you'll know how much I love using rainbow colours.. I simply stamped
with the smallest circle from the set randomly around my card and
coloured in with distress ink. My greeting is stamped with waterproof
ink onto vellum. Make sure you leave your vellum well to dry, It takes
time, but its worth it..
Using
a vellum overlay for your greeting, means you can still SEE the
background behind, but your sentiment takes pride of place.
Made just like above only using the little square stamp and a different sentiment.
And another one, only using the little heart, a different greeting and alcohol markers to colour in.
As
I used a cardstock not designed for alcohol ink markers, the colouring
turned out a bit streaky. I thought of changing it, but I actually
really like the effect it gave so decided to leave it.
Well
I carried on along the same lines with this one. Only my satmping was
more deliberate this time. I also used the middle square and then the
smaller square inside. And instead of a vellum overlay, I heat embossed
my greeting on to black card stock.
And
then I finally changed gear lol.. This background is one I have tried
before and I still love the result.. I used the harlequin stamp and
simply lined up my stamping. I then did the mop up tecnique with some
purple distress ink. I diecut the heart out and stamped my greeting
strait onto my card blank before adding my background.
And then it was time for oxides.. It just had to be done lol..
I used various coulours through various Dinkables.. I sprayed a bit of water over my inks and that gave this card this dusty look. My greeting is stamped on a white piece of card and just cut out before sticking to my card.
I used various coulours through various Dinkables.. I sprayed a bit of water over my inks and that gave this card this dusty look. My greeting is stamped on a white piece of card and just cut out before sticking to my card.
And
then this one came alive.. It was simply just me cleaning my Dinkables
from the above card.. I just sprayed a bit of water onto the stencils
and preiing the card onto the stencil.. I did it to all the Dikables and
this is the result.. I then stamped a few of the wire border stamps and
my greeting and voila..
For
this one I used paste through a Dinkable.. I love this wee stencil and I
thought it really lended it self to paste as the lines are sooooo wee.
(small)
Once my paste was dry I once again did rainbow colours, once again using oxides, and finished woth water spalshes.
And last but not least..
My very first play with the Skylines.. Ohh these was lying staring at me while I made all the other samples.. And I was nearly scared of playing with them... I have never done anything like this card before and its sooo out of my comfort zone.. BUT I love the result..

I
used the bridge stencil and made the bridge... I then cut out the
bridge.. I then made my "sunrise" and added my buildings in the back. I
then finished by adding foam tape on the back of my bridge and adding it
to my card..
I could have added a greeting in the sky but to be honest I really liked it as is..
And that is all from me today. I hope I have given you a bit of inspiration for what you can do with your stamps.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.
