Sally CT - Circles Galore!

Hi there! For the month of August, over on the Be Crafty Stamps facebook group we have a challenge theme of Circles. Here's how I made the card above which has oodles of them.

I began by blending ink from my blending brushes in a rainbow around the 6x6 inkable, Swirling circles. There was enough left over ink on my brushes to not need to ink them up again.
Next I used the doodle Art mandala stamps to stamp over the inked background in Versafine Clair Desert sand ink.

I also used some small circular stamps from Journaling essentials #3 to fill in the gaps amongst the mandala stamps.

On a separate piece of card I stamped the Doodle art Dandedaisy in Black versafine Clair ink.

I coloured it using ecoline pens and cut it out.

Using 3d foam pads I attached it to the background panel, along with a sentiment and added the whole thing to the front of a 6x6 white card blank.
Here is the finished card again.
I used:
Versafine Clair ink in Desert sand and Black
Ecoline pens
6x6 white card
5.5x5.5 card panel
Distress oxide inks (already on my brushes, but most likely Lumberjack Plaid, Spiced marmalade, mustard seed, Twisted Citron, Peacock feathers, blueprint sketch and wilted violet)

I hope this has given you the inspiration to look through your stamps and inkables for circles and have a go at entering the challenge!
Thanks for looking!

Alison CT - Dream

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing an art journal page created using inkables, catalyst cards and one of the faces media papers.
To begin, I created a background using several of the circle inkables and d'inkables with distress oxides. After using each stencil I spritzed it with water and pressed it on to the page. See below for products used.
Next, I added one of the mandala stamps from set 1. I wasn't worried if it didn't stamp accurately as it is just another layer to the background.
Using a wet paintbrush, I applied water around the Dream image and carefully tore her out.
I then applied matte medium to the reverse of the dream image, not directly to my page, as the inks used are not waterproof.  I carefully added dream to the page using more matte medium to ensure she stuck.
I coloured her eyes and lips using distress watercolour pencils in mermaid lagoon and worn lipstick.

On a piece of full colour catalyst card, from set 3, I stampedthe large and small fliwer from Journaling Essentials 5 using versafine clair nocturne ink.  I then cut them out. In hindsight I should have embossed them with white, to make them stand out more.
I used matte medium to glue the flowers around the hair on the left of the page.
Finally I stamped two of the small words sentiments, cut them out and edged with black pen, then glued them to the page.
Products used:
Circles for Circles big one
Distress oxide mermaid lagoon, seedless preserve, picked raspberry
Versafine Clair nocturne

Thank you for taking a look.
