Some more seasonal greetings!

It's Clare again back with some more Bee Crafty seasons greetings. I'm sure I mentioned last week how fond I am of this stamp, it is a lovely large stamp and so versatile.

For this card I used:

To make this card I stamped using watermark ink and heat embossed using clear powder. I then brushed the card with mowed lawn and crushed olive. Using the same coloured inks I stamped the smallest snowflake. I then punched out some small holes using my punch. Using a die cut I stamped on the seasons greetings in black and heat embossed. To tie the greeting in with the card I again used mowed lawn to edge the shape and stamped the small snowflake with crushed olive and mowed lawn. I mounted the card onto a hidden panel of white card and then onto green and added my favourite little pearly dots and a sprinkle of glitter.

I hope you are not finding your christmas preparations too stressful? It's a busy time of year and I know I am trying hard not to let this busy period weigh me down. Some crafty time for me today I think.

Seasons Greetings

Morning Guys,

How are we all today, well it is Monday again already so that means it is my day to share with you some ideas.

Today I thought I would use some of the Yuletide Stamps.

For this card I used two stamps, I used Holly Swirl Tree and Seasons Greetings

I complemented the stamps with the Inkables Chain Link Fencing mask

The card is an A4 blank, which I matted with a red layer and then a white layer, the white layer I used the inkables mask and embossed it using my embossing machine, I only did this for the top of the layer.

I stamped my "Holly Swirl Tree" stamp using a clear ink pad and embossed it with a gold tinsel embossing powder. I matted this onto a piece of red card to give it extra layer, next I stamped in black ink the sentiment and again matted this onto the red card stock.

I added a ribbon and a bow, placed the "seasons greetings" to the bottom, three card candi and liquid pearls in gold.

This is a close up, of what the embossing powder looks like, I tried to cature the sparkle.

That is it for me for today, I will be back next week with more inspiration.

Seasons greetings!

Hi it's Clare here again with a little bit of Bee Crafty inspiration and like it says on the tin, I've gone a a little seasonal with some of The Yueltide collection stamps. You will will see this greeting pop up quite a bit over the coming weeks. I absolutely love it. It is such a good size and stamps fantastically.

For this card I used:

Seasons greetings stamp

Fir tree stamp

Beautanicals ferns stamps

Distress inks

Embossing powder

To make this card I masked with a circle aperture and a moon so that I could ink in my scene using festive berries distress ink. After that, with my circle mask remaining, I stamped on the ferns using black ink and heat embossed with clear powder. I removed the mask and stamped on the sentiment and the fir tree and once again heat embossed.

That's me for this week. I expect all of you are busy getting ready for that special day so thank you for taking the time to look at my blog. I look forward to hearing your comments.

Marleen DT - Da Vinci.

Hi guys..

Time for my weekly fix of

The more I work with the stamps from Bee Crafty, the more I love them.
And the stamp im working with this week, is no exception.

Its called "Science of Beauty" and is from the "Inspired by Da Vinci" range.
the Da Vinci range I think is my favorite of them all and I was VERY excited when this stamp landed at my door. So expect to her this beauty on fure projects as well :-)

Here is what I've made:

For this card I pulled out a packet of paper from my stash to play with and it really inspired the whole card. The text and the gold hearts is on the paper so the background was kind a done.
I stamped the image our on watercolour card and smothered in distress ink.
The gold around the image and the corners on the card is made with versamark and gold embossing powder.
The greeting is an embossing folder, proberly a freebie from a mag. Once embossed I added distress ink and added gold embossing powder over the letters, using a glue pen.
The heart behind the image is cut with a die.

For my second card I decided to go with a vibrant colour.
My image is stamped and smothered with distress ink. Then sprayed with a spray glue and covered in glitter.
Tthe back ground is made with an embossing folder and once again distress ink.
Finished with an OVER sized bow and a sentiment from the "Wordage" series, called "Best wishes/Special thougts".

And that is all from me for today.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Santa Is Coming To Town

Good Morning Guys,

Today I have for you a card using one of the Yule Tide collection. I have used Claus as the main feature of this card.

The card is a 7x7 card blank that has been matted and layered up using various backing papers, and card stock.

The image was stamped and then his face was coloured in using promarkers, I used stickles to glitter his beard and white pearls to "pearl" around him.

I finished the card off with some ribbon, which I tied into a bow and three pieces of card candi.

I hope you like him and thank you for stopping in

Marleen DT, Vera - colouring tutorial

Morning blogger friends.

Its time for my weekly slot.

This week I dont have a finished project to share but instead Ive made a little colouring tutorial using the image called "Vera".
You can find her in the STORE with all the other amazing stamps.

Ive used Promarkers to colour in Vera.

*****************

I tend to start with the hair when colouring in. I think I do this as I find it the hardest to colour so if I make a mistake and need to start over, I havent spent time colouring in the rest.

For the hair Ive used the following colours.
Tulip Yellow
Raw sienna
Gold
Start by colour all the hair in Tulip Yellow.
Then comes what I find the hardest part.. The darkest shade. Ive used Raw sienna.
I add a little colour where I know the shades will fall. ie her shoulderand at the back of her neck.
To be honest, this ismage isnt too hard to colour as at the top of her hair, there are already lines to follow and that is where I added the dark colour.
Next i go in with a middle colour. Gold.
I use the middle colour to blend the lightest and darkest colour together. I make the middle colour an extention of the dark colour. Meaning I go over where the dark colour is but extend the middle colour a bit further then the dark colour.
Finish the hair with another coat of the lightest colour, Tulip yellow.

************

Ok next is the skin. The thing I find the hardest after the hair.
I admit I tend to stick to the same colour tones everytime, but its something Im trying to get better at.

For the skin Ive used:
Ivory
Blush
Vanilla
Start by colouring ALL the skin (face, arms & legs) in with Ivory
Then just like with the hair, I go in with my darkest colour, Vanilla.
In this case I simply just followed the outline of the face.
The arms and legs, I followed the line of the inside of both the arms and legs.
Then its time for the medium colour, Blush.
Just as before I simply followe the line of the dark colour with the medium colour to blend.
Then dont forget to finish with a coat of your lightes colour, Ivory over all the skin.
Then its time to finish the face with a few details.
I added a few dots with the fine nip of "Rose pink" to Vera's cheeks to give them a bit more life.

Her eyes, I used the "Cobalt Blue" and just followed the outline of her iris' and went over with the blender pen to soften the line a bit.

Last in her face, her earings. I used the "Rose pink" again.
I coloured the whole earing in and then used my blender to remove a little of the colour to create the spots where the light hits. Ive done the same on her bracelet.

Voila, face and skin is done..

**************

Ok last, the dress..
Ive only used 2 colours for the dress as I wanted it quite light.
Ive used
Pink Mittens
Rose Pink.
Colour the full dress in with the Pink mittens.
Then follow the out line of the dress and the shaddow lines with the Rose Pink.
Finish the dress with a coat of Pink mittens.
Her belt and her shoes I wanted to stay white. Well in order to make thing look white but with life in them, you need your light grey colours.
I used the "warm grey 1" with the normal nip to follow the lowest line of the belt. I then took my "warm grey 2" and used the fine nip and followed the same line (as close to the line as possible)
Finish of with a coat of the blender pen.
I did the same with the dots on her dress.

************

Ok nearly there now.. 1 last thing..
To give the image a bit of debth you need to outline your image.
The easist way to give your image debth is to simply take your "warm grey 1" and just follow the line of the image. I noramlly run over the line with the blender pen after but havent done it here as it would be hard to see on the picture.

Here is the finished result.

I hope you found this picture tutorial helpful.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Poppy Heads

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

It is Monday morning again, where are these weeks going, be December soon and then in to the new year.

The card I have for you today is one that I have left blank with regards to a sentiment, I thought that it could be used for a Birthday, Thinking of You, Sympathy or just a Hello card.

I started with a plain blank card stock, and used a deep blue ink pad and inked the background I didn't really take much care with  it as I wanted it to look all wispy.

I took the "Poppy Heads"    I inked them up using a clear ink pad, and heat embossed them with a suttle white embossing powder.

Next I matted and layered this up on to various card stock to give it some definition.

To finish it off I added ribbon to the bottom, with a fake bow and three pieces of white card candi.

That is it for me for today.

Falling leaves

Hi bloggers it's Clare here with my weekly blog spot for Bee Crafty. If you are lucky enough to venture to the NEC in Birmingham be sure to pop by and see Bev and the Bee Crafty team and check out the fantastic stamps, templates and all things inky.

For this card I used:

Backdrop bark stamp positive

Wordage - Live with no excuses

Distress inks

Beautanicals maple outline

Dylusions inks

I started off by masking off a corner of my card and using green distress inks I blended through the basket weave template. I stamped over this using brown ink using the bark backdrop stamp.

I removed the mask and stamped on the sentiment, some maple leaves and heat embossed with black embossing powder. On a separate piece of card I stamped some more leaves, heat embossed and cut out.

Using Cut grass, sunshine yellow and postbox red dylusion inks I painted all my leaves. I then applied my cut out leaves using silicone for dimension.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog post.

Happy crafting,

Clare x x x

Marleen DT - Cheryl

Hi guys..

Another week has passed and its once again time for me to share my inspiration for

Today I've made a little card using the "Beryl" stamp.
You can find her and all the other amazing stamps in the STORE...

A very simple card. Beryl was stamped onto watercolour card and coloured with distress markers.
I used chalk around her to give a bit of debth to the image.
My background is made just using black and white card stock. The white piece has been run through my bigshot in an embossing floder before added to the card.
I finished the card witha few gems.
Ive left the greeting of it until I need the card. I always like to have a couple of cards lying in case of an emergency.

And that is all from me for today. I hope you like what Ive made.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Underneath My Tree

Good Morning Guys,

Monday again so it means it is my turn to share with you some more inspiration.

Today I have a Christmas card for you.

I created a 6x6 card blank and started with a red card blank.
The next layer was a white blank card stock, the I repeatedly stamped the sentiment "If you're not under my tree Christmas morning i'm going back to bed"
I next matted it again with a plain red layer and then stamped the sentiment repeatedly on the next white layer again using a christmas red ink pad.
The main topper was stamped with black inkpad and then his hair and beard was glittered using a fine glitter glue. I matted this onto a red layer. To finish the card I stamped the sentiment again and matted it up, and placed it into the corner, I added a poinsettia with some gold fibres, and three pieces of card candi, I then fake stitched around the layers to give them further detail.

Well that is it for me for today

Introducing the new Backdrop Borders

Hi it's Clare here with my weekly spot at Bee Crafty. Friday saw the launch of the new stamp range 'Backdrop Borders' so I placed my order and to my surprise they landed promptly on my doorstep, Saturday morning. I happily unpacked my parcel and set to work.

For this card I used:

Backdrop borders - dandies

Beautanicals - Dandelion stamp

Wordage - Joy is a flower

Inkables template - Honeycomb

Distress inks

Liquid pearls

First of all I stamped my backdrop border, twice with versamark, once with my black ink and heat embossed with clear powder. After that I stamped the dandelion stamp, sentiment and again heat embossed. Through the honeycomb mask I blended mowed lawn, crushed olive, peeled paint and peacock feathers distress inks and then added my favourite liquid pearls.

So now you know about the 'Backdrop Borders' why not drop by the website and treat yourself.

I have had a lovely crafty week but alas it is back to work for me tomorrow. I have made quite a few things which I look forward to sharing with you over the coming weeks.

I always enjoy reading your comments so feel free to feedback your thoughts on this weeks blog.

Happy crafting,

Clare x x x x
