Calee CT - Wings Journal Page

Hi , for my blog this week I have a journal page incorporating some of the week 23 Bee crafty palette colours and the challenge theme for this month , Wings .

My first step was to collect together a selection of inks ,sprays and pens in the colours of this weeks palette . I didn’t have the whole selection but decided I had enough to work with .

Using my small 6x6 inch journal and some scraps from catalyst cards  #3 .l glued down two large pieces in opposite corners of my page .

Using Cracked Pistachio distress ink and Uncharted Mariner Distress Spritz ,a smooshed and sprayed background was created .

Using two Dinkables from set 15 and the  Cracked Pistachio distress ink some stencilling was added to my page and a border of Mermaid Lagoon distress ink gave the edges of my page some definition.

My next step was to go in with the  dark blue ( 508) Ecoline pen ,black fine liner and white gel pen to add various doodles a, line , circles and hearts . At this stage I also added a stitched border .

For the  wings element of my page I stamped out the large moth and various small moths  from the Art Stamps Moths set . The smaller moths were stamped  in a selection of my pallet colours and the large moth in  black , then coloured with the same inks .It’s little difficult so see but I use the distress spritz over the darker pets of the moth which gave it a lovely iridescent feel .

To complete my page I glued down my moths and added a sentiment from the wordy stickers sheet 3B .

Thank you for taking a look this week ,I hope you found my steps useful  .You will find a list of products I used below
Happy crafting

Sally CT - Something with Wings

Hi There! I am here with a super quick and simple journal page to show you today.

I began by trimming  piece of Catalyst Collage paper from the Spring blooms A5 set to fit the page and stuck it down with Matte Medium.
Next ,I stamped the largest Bee from the Bee Mine stamp set using black Versafine Clair ink, and coloured it with pencils before cutting it out.
On a separate scrap of card, I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set and cut it out.
Using matte medium, I added the bee and the sentiment to the background before adding some black and white faux stitching to finish it off.
Here is the page opposite it's partner in the journal....
And here is a close-up of the page.
Black Verafine Clair ink
Coloured Pencils

I hope this inspires you to join in with our monthly challenge over in the Bee Crafty Stamps Facebook Group, where this month's theme is 'things with wings'.

Alison CT - Faces samples

Hi everyone,  this week I thought I would share some of the Faces samples I made for their launch on ShopUnlimited Live.
For the first sample, I stamped Dream using Versafine Clair nocturne ink.  I coloured her with watercolour paints and then added stenciling around her using dinkables from set 2 and inkable tags from 1 with seedless preserve,  picked raspberry and antique linen distress oxides. I added a sentiment from the Handwritten Words stamp set.
For the second sample, I stamped the face Seen and used watercolour paints to colour him and the background. I then used Morning Mist Versafine Clair to add stamped detail to the background using Journaling Essentials 2. The sentiment is from Handwritten Words 2.
For the third sample, I created a background by smooshing seedless preserve distress oxide on to a piece of acetate, spraying it lightly with water and pressing it down on the page. After this had dried, I blended seedless preserve through a couple of dinkables from set 1 and wilted violet distress oxide through another. I then stamped the face I See You on to the piece and addedextra stamps from the Journal Art Elements 2 and 3 stamp set.
For my fourth sample, I stamped both large and small faces from the See Me stamp set using Versafine Clair nocturne ink.  I then used a blending brushes to add scattered straw and cracked pistachio distress ink to the background.  I then blended rusty hinge distress ink through the circles dinkable from set 3. I added stamping from the same See Me set to enhance the background.
For my fifth sample, I stamped the Look face using Versafine Clair nocturne ink.  I then blended weathered wood distress ink around the outside of my piece of card. I blended weathered wood distress oxide through the honeycomb dinkable from set 1 and scattered straw distress oxide through the fronds dinkable from set 1. I added a sentiment from the  Handwritten Words 2 stamp set.

For my sixth sample,  I stamped the Seen face using Versafine Clair nocturne, then I rubbed my worn lipstick distress oxide ink pad over the lines dinkable from set 8 and spritzed it with water. I pressed this, ink side down, over the image, covering most of the piece of card. I added some coffee stains using the dinkable from 9 with seedless preserve distress oxide. I added stamps from the Journal Art Elements 3 stamp set and a sentiment from the Creativity Words set.For my final sample, I stamped the face from the Look stamp set on to the piece of card. I blended mermaid lagoon and tumbled glass distress oxide over the background before adding the grid stamp from the Journal Art Elements 3 stamp set with Versafine Clair Blue Belle ink and the numbers from the same set with mermaid lagoon. Finally I added two sentiment from the Creativity Words stamp set using Versafine Clair nocturne. Products used:

Calee CT - Wings

Hi there, a new month and a new challenge from sally - wings . So for my blog this week I have some inspiration for you . My first thought was to use the Doodle art dragonfly , one of my favourite stamps , but then I came across the Doodle Art ladybird !

My first step was to cut a large tag and create a smooshed base colour with 3 distress inks ,I used Mowed Lawn , Seedless Preserves and Picked Raspberry .

On top of this I added some stencilling with the string of pearls Big One Inkable using Distress inks Tumbled Glass and edged the whole tag with the darker blue Distress ink BluePrint sketch .

Using some of the smaller stamps from the Doodle Art Ladybird and Mowed Lawn  and Blueprint Sketch, I added to my background .

Next to stamp and colour my ladybirds and for this I stuck to the same  colour palette as my background, rather than the traditional reds or yellows .For colouring I used a combination of distress inks and Ecoline water colour pens .

Going back to my background I added some doodling with white and pink Posca pens and loosely coloured the small stamped flowers .

After cutting out the the ladybirds I added some white details with a white gel pen , and  in my bit box found these leaves from the Art stamp set Journaling Essentials 7 and as they were the perfect colours I decided to incorporate them into my design .

Here is my finished tag with all of the elements glued down and a sentiment added from the Ticker Tape 3  wordage stamp set. My tag was mounted on to black card and a white dotted border added and some colourd ribbon was the finished touch .

So this tag is a little different than the norm ,  probably not the first winged creature you think of or the typical colours but I am really pleased with how it turned out .

Thank you for taking a look and please remember to share your makes in the  Bee Crafty face book page and have a go at this months challenge.
