Barbara DT - A Positive and a Negative

Hi folks, Barbara here with my usual weekend post for BEE CRAFTY.
Today I have done something a bit different. Instead of 'pretty, floral' cards, I've used a 'skyline' inkables called Georgia (find it HERE)
The first card uses the inkable as a 'positive' image.
The second card I used the skyline as a negative image.......you get both inkables in the set for one price 😀
All the word stamps are from Bee Crafty and can be found on the website.
Well, that's it for another week, hope you have a great bank holiday weekend.

Emily DT - Peony Tag

Hi everyone, the last week has flown past and it's my turn again to provide some Bee Crafty inspiration. I have used one of the new flower stamps for my project this week as I think they are fabulous, and can be used in so many ways.

This week I have made a tag using the Peony stamp, and I decided to try something a bit different and use it with the brick wall inkable template.

Here is the tag I have made...

I started by cutting my tag shape from kraft card and inking the brick pattern round the outside using Distress Ink and a blending tool.

I then stamped the Peony in the middle in black ink and coloured it using Distress markers. I used Antique Linen first then Spun Sugar and Peeled Paint over the top. This gave a more subtle colour which I think works well with the kraft card.

I stamped the 'life is good' sentiment in black ink and mounted the tag onto black card.

I punched a hole at the top and added some ribbon to finish it off.

I love how it turned out and love the combination of the Peony and the brick wall inkable, as it is not a pairing you think of straight away.

I hope you like it too.

Make sure to tune into Hochanda Wednesday to catch Bev with some fabulous new stamps.

See you next week!

Lorre-Anne DT - BEAUtanicals Lily

Hi bloggers, it's Thursday so that means it's my turn to share another DT project for Bee Crafty on the Buzzy Goings On At Bee Crafty blog with you all.  Last week I showed you the first sample I made for the BEAUtanicals new launch show at Ally Pally, and this week I have decided to show another of my favourites.  These stamps are absolutely stunning, and make such an impact on a card.

What you will need to make this card -
What to do -
  • Cut a square of black card slightly smaller than the card blank, and a square of white slightly smaller than this.
  • Take the white square, and using masking tape mask off a section.
  • Using a blending tool, blend the various DIs from top to bottom starting with the lightest down to the darkest.
  • Next using Versafine ink, stamp the large BEAUtanical on the blended section.
  • Stamp the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner, and use the DIs to colour in the letters of FLOWER.
  • Mat the white square on to the black, and adhere both to the card blank using glue.
That's me finished for this weeks Bee Crafty DT post.  As always if you have any comments then do get in touch.

Until next time

DT Kerrie - Planning with Bee Crafty Stamps

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty Stamps

This week I have been getting ahead with my 'Filofax - Planning' and I have decorated this week's pages and my May monthly spread using some of my favourite Bee Crafty polymer stamps

Bee Crafty Products used:

BEAUtanicals - Branches - polymer stamp set
BEAUtanicals - Tall Elder - polymer stamp
WORDage - Dream - polymer stamp

I really love to use my non-planner crafty stash in my planners as it helps me to expand on what I have brought for my planning, but also as I love to use my planner for memory keeping as well as planning my day to day stuff

I chose colours of stamping ink to complement the mushroom coloured leather of my current planner (I have a big colletion to choose from each month)

I decided to use the same stamps for my weekly layouts in May as I used for my Monthly spread.

I stamped using versamagic chalky ink's in the following colours

Wheat: for the script stamp
Sage: for the larger branch stamp from the set
Sahara Sand: for the Tall Elder stamp (I just used the top part)
Jumbo Java: for all the Wordage stamps

I stamped them around the edges and over the notes section to leave the main pages blank for filling in the details of my week

I used the same stamps and colours for the my Monthly spread

I really like how the colours work with my chosen planner for May

Thank You so much for visiting the Bee Crafty Blog today I hope I have inspired you to use your Bee Crafty Stamps in more of your projects as well as your Cardmaking

Barbara DT - More Weekend Inspiration

Hi everyone, Barbara back again with my regular post, hoping to give you some weekend inspiration.
The cards I want to show today are the last couple I made for the BEE CRAFTY live show on Hochanda,  from All Pally. ALL the new BEAUtanical stamps are now available on the website.
This beautiful Iris was simply stamped in black and left un-coloured....the colour comes from the sentiment stamp which I've stamped in various shades of Adirondack Inks. I mounted the 'topper' onto a piece of black card, leaving an edge of black showing down one side.
This was a simple card using a Brusho'd background and stamping the poppy in Versamark then heat-embossing in white. It's my favourite sample 💓💓
Hope you get the chance to do some crafting today.....We're off to look after the grandchildren while their mam & dad do a 10 mile 'fun-run' (!) We'll be cheering them on from the pavements, of course.
Back soon with new projects,
Barbara x

Emily DT - Rock

Hi everyone, the last week has flown by and it's time again for a card from me. This week I have been playing with some of the stamps I treated myself to at Ally Pally and have made this card...

I started by colouring a square of card using my blending tool and Distress inks. I then stamped the two small star stamps in the same colours. I also added the star border around the edges. I did another smaller piece of card using the same colours and stamps.

I stamped the amazing guitar stamp in black, leaving enough room for my sentiment.

I stamped the Rock sentiment onto the smaller piece of card and mounted it onto black then onto the card using foam pads.

I mounted the whole thing onto black card and added some details with a white pen.

I am really pleased with how it turned out, and this card could be done in any combination of colours to suit the occasion.

I hope you like it too!

Lorre-Anne DT - BEAUtanicals Peony

Hi everyone, for this weeks blog post I'm going to show you one of the first cards I made using the new stamps brought out by Bee Crafty for their recent Hochanda show at Ally Pally.  This was my first time making samples for them as a member of their DT so I was a bit nervous...but as the stamps are so fab it was easy to get creative.  I used the gorgeous Peony stamp to make the card below.

What you need to make this card -
What to do -
  • Cut a piece of white card slightly smaller than the card blank and using the blending tool,  blend some Wilted Violet DI around the edges.
  • Cut another piece of white card slightly smaller again, and using Wilted Violet DI, stamp flower heads randomly over the entire piece - ensuring you go off the edges to give a balanced look.  Mat this to the piece of card above, and adhere to the card blank using glue.
  • On a spare piece of white card, use DI again to stamp another flower head.  Cut this out.
  • Cut a piece of card the same length as the stamped piece, and approx 1" wide.  Take the Never Regret stamp and ink up only the word Smile with DI, and stamp this .  Blend DI around the edges and adhere to the card using foam pads.
  • Finish off by adding the cut out flower head to the sentiment strip using glue, and applying some Stickles to the petals.
So that's my first ever Bee Crafty DT sample completed, and I hope it was ok!  I'll share another one of my samples next week.

If you have any questions or comments then please do get in touch as I'd love to hear from you.

Marleen DT - Flower Hochanda Samples..

Hey bloggers and welcome to my my little slice of the www..

Once again wednesday and my turn to share some inspiration
for BeeCrafty.

I realised that I havent shared my Hochanda samples here on my blog after the last show. I just made the little video and shared but I want to talk you through how I made the projects, so that is what I will do today..

First of all, find the BRAND NEW STAMPS HERE..
They were released at the Ally Pally show, live on Hochanda and they sold out in record time. But the Bee Ladies have been working hard and have them back in stock in their shop..

This one is made on one of the MDF tags. I primed it with white acrylic paint and used my distress ink to colour. I used the Heart Inkables to make the heart and I stamped also with distress ink, the border sentiment down the side. My Tulip,  I coloured with my Zig real brush water colour markers. I stamped the flower head 3 times and cut some of the details out to decoupage it. To make the stem shorter, I simply bent it and glued it. Finished with a bit of sparkle made with my wink of stella sparkle brush.
This one is made on one of the MDF Art Board Tags. I love these ad they can be made into free standing home decor. Ideal to make a wee pressie..
For this one I went strait on to the raw MDF with some sparkel sprays. Dont ask me where they are from as they were given to me by a friend and are so well used that you cant read the lable anymore lol... (Make your own sparkle sprays with rubbing alcohol and old eyeshadows.. I have you YOUTUBE HERE, that show you how)
Anyway, once my background was dry I went strait with my border sentiment stamp and stamped it repeatedly covering the whole board. I then took my Art journal border stamp and stamped each side of both the board and the stand. I used a black sharpie to colour in some of the design.
My Tulip I stamped onto black card and heat embossed with silver, cut it out and added on my board.

Oh I must say, I love this project myself... It took quite a long time to make but it was worth it..
Its made to be A5 in size.
For this I started by stamping my Tulip (that would be the front flower) I then made a mask of the tulip and lay that over my first flower, before stamping it again.. Once mask was removed, my back flower was revealed. I coloured them (I think it was with water colours) and stamped my sentiment.
I used chalk to create the shading of colour around the flowers.
I then took some clear embossing powder and heat set it ALL over my image. It needed 2 coats to become totally smooth and now looks a bit like glass.
I then made my frame. I cut my card stock also to be A5, so same sice as my "glass pic". I then used a ruler and a craft knife (and quite a bit of measuring) to cut out the window.
Once cut I used the new dinkables and texture paste to make the design on my frame. Once paste was dry I used distress sprays to colour my frame.
Once dry, I added my frame over my image using foam squares.

I wanted this to look just like a picture in a frame, so to be able to hang it up, I used a frame die to cut this "hook". I just cut of the end of the die cut and glues this bit on to the back of my picture.

Another MDF tag, this one is the XL. This time with red acrylic paint background and orange acrylic paint through my swirl dinkable. I used the Journey stamp, stamped in black, but before the black ink dried completely I added some gold embossing powder. As the ink wasnt completly wet, the embossing powder didnt stick in all places so once I melted the powder, I got a very distressed look. I love how it came out. My Iris flower is stamped on white card stock, heat set also with gold embossing powder, coloured with water colours and cut out. I finshed the project with a bit of gold embossing powder around the edges and a black sharpie to outline my letters.

Another Iris flower. this time on a card. Water colour back ground, plain stamping heatset with black embossing powder and the same with my border sentiment stamp. I made some black water splashes with a paint brush and black distress ink to finish the distressed look.

This one was great fun. I did the maksing tecnique as I discribed earlier, and just repeat stamped my Tulip. I coloured them all in with water colour pencils and stamped my sentiment. I finished with some brown distress ink around the edges and a coat of glossy accent over the flower heads.

This one was one of those projects we start but dont know how to finish.. I stamped my Iris
and coloured it in..I on purposely only wanted to use a piece of the flower to show that although its a big stamp, it could still be used on a smaller card.. But I was stuck.. In the end I HAD to get finished so I simply layered my stamp on to black and added it strait on to the card with foam. I took my
Art journal border stamp and made the sides and finished with distress ink water splashes. I do love how it came out and a sentiment could easily be added.

And that is it from me for today.
Thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind. I hope you enjoyed these projects.

Kerrie DT - Love & Chocolate - Black & White

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty Stamps

Bee Crafty Products used:

Wordage - 'All You Need is Love' - polymer stamp
Fabulous Flowers - Star Flowers - polymer stamp set
Beautanicals - Branches - polymer stamp set

I hope you are all having a lovely Easter with your families & friends - I was inspired but Easter Chocolate for this make but went with a Black & White, Classic look instead of the traditional bunnies and eggs for Easter

Firstly I crocheted some white flowers and stitched through some buttons using white yarn. Then I repeat stamped the Star Flowers and larger Branch onto white cardstock using black versafine ink. I then spent some time fussy cutting them out

I then trimmed a piece of black card to 1/2 cm smaller than my 7x7 card blank. Then I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 1/2 cm smaller than the black piece. I ran some black card stock through my embossing machine using a burlap embossing folder and cut a strip of this to fit the width of my card. I layer the black and white card pieces onto the card blank using strong glue, I stamped the Love and Chocolate sentiment onto the top corner and mounted the black embossed strip to the card front using foam tape.

I then arranged the Branches, Crocheted Flowers and Star flowers and when i was happy with how they looked I fixed them down using my hot glue gun

I then fixed some gems using glossy accents to the flower centres, and scattered some around

I love how this project turned out as I really love non-traditional themes and colours during the seasonal occasions through the year

I made 2 more slightly altering the layout each time

Barbara DT - Tag It!......

Hi everyone, HAPPY EASTER!
I'm back with an MDF tag I made for the recent Bee Crafty Hochanda show from Ally Pally, last weekend.
All the new BEAUtanical stamps were 'showcased' and they were certainly very popular. I think this is one of the nicest sets I've worked with.
This is a large MDF tag, find it HERE.......
I painted it with black gesso, then stamped the background using Versamark and silver heat-embossing powder, using the DREAM word HERE and one of the Style Wire Borders HERE
I stamped the Iris twice onto white card, heat-embossed in silver then 'fussy-cut'. They were coloured using Derwent watercoloured pencils.
Hope you like it.
Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend.....it's gardening for me today 😀
Back soon with more samples, until then, happy crafting.

Emily DT - Ally Pally Samples

Hi everyone, I hope you all managed to catch the live Hochanda show from Ally Pally if you did not get to go. I was lucky enough to watch it being filmed live and loved it! This week I thought I would share some of the samples I made for the show using the gorgeous new floral stamps.

My first sample is this gorgeous card using the peony stamp. I used a 6x6 piece of the steampunk papers and stamped the peony straight onto it. I used the two feather dinkables to add a bit of detail around the edges and stuck some ribbon down the side. A little sentiment and a bit of steampunk junk finishes it off nicely.

Another sample using the peony is this very simple card. I masked off a strip on a square of white card and coloured it by blending Distress inks. I then stamped the peony in black. I added a small sentiment at the bottom and then mounted it directly onto a card blank.

The last sample I am going to share today is using the fabulous tulip stamp. I started by stamping it onto paper and cutting it out. I then stamped it onto my card square and lay the paper copy on top as a mask. I sprayed on colour using Dylusions spray inks. If using a paper mask make sure to spray directly over the top rather than from the side as the paper may move.
I left it to dry then added a sentiment and mounted it onto black.

I hope you like my samples and that everyone managed to get their hands on these gorgeous stamps before they sold out!

See you next week

Lorre-Anne DT - Life Is A Canvas

Hi bloggers, I'm back with my regular Thursday DT post for Bee Crafty.  I hope you've all had a good week?  It's the Easter holidays up here in Scotland so the boys are having a great time out playing with their friends...which gives Mummy time to do the housework (or craft!! ;-))

For this weeks card I decided to use my Dylusions paints, and the fabulous Life Is A Canvas stamp...what a brilliant sentiment.

Below is a photo of the card.

What you will need to make the card -

What you need to do -

  • Cut 2 pieces of white card, one slightly smaller than card blank, and one slightly smaller again.
  • Take the largest of the cut white card, and using a baby wipe rub some Calypso Teal around the edges of the card.  Seat aside to dry.
  • Take the other piece of white card and using a baby wipe apply some Black Marble over the entire card, set aside to dry (this only takes a few minutes).
  • Take the empty toilet roll tube, and using scissors, cut it into 3 sections.
  • Once the black card is dry, take one of the cut tube sections, and dip it in Lemon Zest and randomly stamp over - remember to go off the side of the card.  Repeat this with Bubblegum Pink, Tangerine Dream, and Calypso Teal.  Don't be afraid to overlay the stamping.
  • Once dry, mat this onto the Teal edged card, and adhere both to the card blank using glue.
  • On a spare piece of white card, stamp the sentiment using Versafine Ink, and when dry cut into 3 sections.
  • Cut 3 pieces of white card slightly larger than the stamped sentiments, and colour each with a different Dylusions Paint.  When dry, mat the sentiment on to them.
  • Attch the sentiment to the card using foam pads.
That's it for this week's project, if you have any questions or comments then please do let me know.

Take care, and happy crafting!
Hugs, Lorre-Anne x

Marleen DT - Orange & Black

Hey Bloggers.
Thank you for popping by..

Todays projects is for BeeCrafty.

If you are part of the BeeCrafty Facebook Group, you may have seen the first of the 2 cards I want to share today. I made the background and stamped my Door Knocker on I but didnt know how to finish it. Anyway, here is the finished card. I love how it turned out..
The background is made with Distress inks and the Backdrop Textures stamps. I then stamped my Door Knocker over in black, but I stamped it off the card stock so the last bit of the ring would be missing. I took a scrap piece of card stock and stamped the ring, added ink and cut it out. I then added it to the ring on my stamped image so I got the full ring. (hope that makes sence)..
I matted and layered onto a black piece of card and finished by stamping my Happy Birthday  inside the ring.

I love this combo of orange and black, so while I had those colours out, I decided to make another card with them.

This one is very simple. Its simply just repeat stamping with the Flower - distress backdrop border, heatset with black embossing powder.
My greeting is from my stash, it was a leftover from another play and I finished witha black mat and a few gems.

And that's all from me for today.
Thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.
