Good morning blogger friends..
and welcome to my little slice of the www..
Today I want to share the samples I made for the Bee Crafty show on Hochanda on the 20th may.
I only managed to make a few samples for this show but never the less I love them all the same.
I only managed to make a few samples for this show but never the less I love them all the same.
I was sent the "Feather Dreamer" stamp set for this show.
Here are the samples I made:
Bev and the presenter showing my favorite of my samples.
This
one is made with a distress Crayons background. I ran my cardstock
through my bigshot with an embossing folder and added lots of crayons.
The stamps has been coloured with distress ink.
This one is also a clear favorite of mine. I just love the colours.
This
one is made with distress inks. I die cut the circle using laying
circle dies and just held it in place (with my hand) this I added colour
to the background. I then stamped my feather and sentiment before
covering the whole background with clear embossing powder. Before
melting the powder i rubbed some of the powder off to leave areas with
no powder and other areas with only a bit of powder. I then melted the
powder to a rough texture over the card.
Next
is a clean and simple sample. Those who pop by my blog will know I
struggle with this kind a cards. This one was actually my daughters
(Abbie 5) idea. A while back my crafting buddy Sall gave me a bag of wee
memento inkpads. She never used them and "challenged" me to make use of
them. Abbie loves crafting with me and love using the wee pads and she
was sitting playing with the pads when I was making these samples. She
asked if she could borrow the feather stamp and proceeded to stamp the
feather just like I have on the card. She used 2 pink colours but the
idea was born.
My appologies, only just realised that this photo is a bit fussy
This card is simply stamping with 3 different colours, adding the string and matting and layering.. Voila..

Next is a quick little sample. I wanted to show how a stamp can be used for more then just the focal point.
The
wee memento pads came out to play again for this one. I used a darker
blue to stamp my featers and a light blue distress ink to cover the
background in. The heart is die cut with nesting heart dies and coloured
with the same distress ink as the background and a layer of clear
embossing powder added.
This
sample wasnt show as such but was in fact stading in the background. If
you go back up to the first picure you can see it right next to Bev's
head.
This
one is made with a distress ink background before stamping my feather
and adding white embossing powder. The edges has been stamped with the "Happy Birthday/With Love" greeting set repeatedly.
Last but not least, memento ink pads again lol
This sample didnt make a close up either but is in fact right above the presenters head on the very first picture.

This one follows the same guide line as the sample with the green feathers. Just memento inks in different colours..
And that is all from me for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.
