Alison CT - Ridiculously Fabulous

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing an art journal page created using one of the A5 Painted Gaze catalyst collage papers, d'inkables, the sketchy birds stamp set and a wordy sticker.

To begin, I cut the collage paper to fit my 6x6 inch Pink Pig journal and glued it to the page.

I used a white Posca pen to add faux stitching around the edge of the page, to outline the flowers and to add lines to the petals and spits to the centre of the flowers.

Next, I used black soot distress oxide through one of the d'inkables from set 12. 

Then, I applied grit paste to the flowers through one of the d'inkables from set 3. I left this to dry.

On seperate card, I stamped the chaffinch, from the Sketchy Burds stamp set, and coloured it with a black alcohol marker. I then cut it out and used the black marker to edge it, so no white was visible.

I glued the bird to the bottom left of the page, ensuring his feet sat on one of the black stenciled lines.

Finally, I added a sentiment from the Wordy Stickers 1B sheet. To make it stand out, I outlined it with a white Posca pen.
