Hello , this week for my blog I’m sharing some of my samples from the fabulous new Clocks and Catalyst- March 25 release .
For this first one , a tag with a vintage feel . I used stamps from both the Time is Free and Wasted Time sets , stamping them on to a bright catalyst card . These are on a vintage style background created with the same stamps .
The next is a concertina style card using one catalyst card to make 4 similar but different panels . On to this I added some texture paste and then again using stamps from both of the new sets and lots of bits from my bit box . I worked on all 4 panels at the same to time to help me achieve a good mix of elements .
This journal page was my first sample using the ledger style pages , This is a style I haven’t really crafted with much before , but found I real like them , in fact I sat for ages just flicking through them and enjoyed that nearly as much as my crafting !
Hoping to make this feel more like an old page I curled the corners and used vintage colours , just adding a pop of colour with the Doodle Art dragon fly.
This is a small canvas , I wanted to create a piece that had lots of texture , so felt that a canvas would take lots of texture paste , glue, and paint . This has elements from the catalyst card and lots of stamped cogs ( these were a bit of a challenge to cut out ! ) along with the 3 clocks from the Time is Free stamp set . This was all layered up with the addition of some fabric flowers for more texture .
This is a very simple card , but I think just as effective as some of my other samples . Just few spritzes of some distress sprays and the clock from the Wasted Time stamp set and sentiment from Time is Free stamp set . Stamped directly on to the background .
This I think is my favourite sample and again fairly simple to make , most of the work was already done for me with these gorgeous catalysts cards .This large clock from the Wasted Time set is a great main feature, so I just added 3 butterflies to complement it .
This last sample is again full of colour , you will have noticed I can’t resist the bright colours of the catalyst cards and there are some gorgeous ones in this new release. I topped the two panels with the smaller clocks and cogs in the collection , just adding a little colour here and there. Finished with a sentiment from the transparencies .
I hope you have enjoyed looking through my samples as much as I enjoyed making them . There are so many lovely products in this release , absolutely something for everyone , whatever your style of crafting , the possibilities are endless .
Happy crafting
Calee
