Alison CT - Swallow

Good morning everyone, and happy Sunday. Today I thought I would share an art journal page using the XL Birds and Butterflies stamp and die set.
To begin I used the Bakewell inkables big one, with freyed burlap distress oxide, to create two panels either side of the page. I then used ground espresso distress oxide, with the dots 6x6 inkable over the same areas.

Next I stamped the word adventure, from the travel words stamp set, on the top right of the page and the explore word, from the same stamp set, on the bottom left. I only inked each word once with versafine ckair pinecone ink, but stamped 6 times until the ink ran out.

Next I tore a piece of music manuscript and glued it centrally on the page using pva glue. I did this as brushing with collage medium would disturb the distress oxide background.
Then I drew round the 4 and 6 inch heart easy frames on a piece of gelly print background, that I had in my stash. I used a pencil, so that I could rub out any residue after I had cut them out.

Next I stamped the swallow, from the extra large stamp set, using versafine clair pinecone ink. I then die cut it out.
Glue the hearts to the page.  Again I used pva, so as not to disturb the background.
Next I glued the swallow to the large heart.
Finally, as the hearts didn't quite stand out from the page how I expected, I used a brown fineliner pen to add a drawn border to them.
Products used:
Paper from my stash - music manuscript, gelly plate pull
Art stamps - Birds and Butterflies XL and associated die set
Wordage - Travel words
Inkables Easy Frames - heart 6 inch, heart 4 inch
Versafine clair - Pinecone
Distress Oxides - Freyed burlap, ground espresso
PVA glue

Thank you so much for taking the time to have a look at how I created this page. Please have a go - you could change the images, shapes and colours. If you are inspured please share your make in the Bee Crafty Stamps Facebook group.

Sally CT - Moonlight and Snowflakes

Good Morning! I am here with a step by step tutorial for this card.

I began by stamping the moon in shaded lilac distress ink onto a 14cm square of white card.
Next I blended distress inks around the moon getting gradually darker.
I added some ground with a skylines inkable in the foreground using black soot distress ink. I also sponged a little around the edge. I gave this background a light spray with water and dried it thoroughly
Next I used an anti static cloth across the card. I then stamped and embossed in white randomly around the page using the snowflake from winter journaling girl Cosy
I stamped Cosy onto the background where I wanted her and also onto a piece of white card.
I coloured her with ecoline pens and cut her out.
After sticking her to the panel over the stamped image with matte medium, I added a few white pen highlights.
I stamped the spots from the same stamp set in spun sugar and shaded lilac around the edge of a 15cm square card
I attached the panel to the card and added a sentiment from winter small words using white ink and embossing powder. I added a few smaller snowflakes from the small words stamp set in just white ink too

Here is the finished card again.
I used:
Birds and Moons stamp set ( there is a moon on the conch shell set too)
Distress inks in Shaded Lilac, Spun Sugar, Wilted violet and Black soot
Versamark ink

For the next one I covered a large MDF tag in a vintage style paper & stencilled through an Inkable Mandala 3 with Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide ink..

I coloured the large Birdcage, Popouts & flowers with Ecoline Brush Pens & a little gesso.. finishing with some white dots.

This one took a while.. masking the base off the Artboard first then set out elements from the MDF Cogs set & Popouts. Glued everything in place with Collage Medium & left to dry overnight. Then I covered everything in white gesso, left it to dry again, then used Dylusions Paint & Dina Wakley Gloss Spray to add colour, building lots of layers up …

Sally CT - A quick and simple dragonfly card

Hi there! Thought I would show you how I made this very quick and simple card today.

I began by blending a little salvaged patina distress ink through the Pebble pavement big one inkable onto a 6x6" white card. As this is a clean and simple card I used stencil tape to ensure I didn't go over the edge. I left a diagonal band without any blending.

I removed the big one and positioned the outie from the 4" circle easy frame inkable centrally on the card. I blended some villainous potion ink into the circle.
I used some of the worker stamps in opposite corners to stamp in the salvaged patina distress ink.

Next I stamped the dragonfly in memento ink on to a scrap of white card and coloured it with alcohol based markers. I cut it out, cutting off the legs.

I also stamped the dragonfly in memento ink directly onto the purple circle in the position I wanted it.

I used matte medium to attach the coloured one onto the front of the card, lifting the wings a little.
I added a little glossy accents to the body and parts of the wings.

Finally I added a sentiment.
Here is the finished card again

I used
Distress ink in Salvaged Patina and Villainous Potion
Alcohol markers
Black Memento ink
