Sally CT- A gathering of moths

Hi There! During last week's Facebook live I created a bit of a background using Distress Spritz. I thought I would use some of it to make a card for you today. 

The Distress spritz colours I used were Picked Raspberry, Fossilized Amber and Peeled Paint. As well as spraying them I sprayed a little onto a mat then blended it with a brush through the Bakewell Big one inkable.

Next I used Versafine clair ink in Brown (I used Acorn) to add some stamped stitching around the edge

Using the Moth stamp set, I added some stamped smaller moths to the background in Hawthorn Rose and Sand Dune Versafine Clair ink.

I stamped the 2 medium sized moths on to the background using Black Versafine Clair ink. I also stamped them again on a piece of watercolour card. This saves having to cut out the antennae if you prefer not to. 

Next I coloured those three moths with Ecoline pens and a damp paint brush, before cutting them out more carefully. 

I added them over the previously stamped card with just a little matte medium along the bodies, allowing the wings to stand proud of the card a little.

Alison CT - Bee Monarchy Tag

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this tag using the Bee Monarchy stamp set with the Rainbow Bubbles Catalyst Collage and Dinkables.

To begin, I tore the corner off one of the A4 Rainbow Bubbles Catalyst Collage papers and glued it to my tag using matte medium. I then cut off any excess.

Next I blended lumberjack plaid,  carved pumpkin and mustard seed distress oxides through the circles dinkable from set 3. I allowed the colours to overlap.

Then I blended salty ocean distress oxide through the dotty dinkable from set 2. To match the blue in the paper. I left this to dry thoroughly. 

After it was dry, I added white zig illimigraph pen to some of the dots and circles.

Next I stamped the word Bee using Versafine Clair nocturne ink, repeating each inking until no ink was left on the stamp (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th generation).

On separate card,  I stamped the large Bee and three crowns from the Bee Monarchy stamp set. I then fussy cut out the images. 

Finally I glued the bee and crowns to the tag and added one of the Bee Words B Wordy Stickers.

Calee CT - Under the sea journal page

Hello , I have and  a journal page for you this week with an under the sea theme  ,using the Doodle Art Seahorse and Fishes stamp sets combined with a catalyst collage paper from the Rainbow boards pack .

Firstly I created a smooched watery style background on my page using two colours similar to those in this collage paper . I used  Distress inks Blue Print Sketch and Picked Raspberry.

After gluing down the torn strip of collage paper, I used the  big one Inkable Fern Flourish and some Twisted citron Distress oxide to add to my background . Then the  leaves Dinkable from set 14 and more Blue Print sketch ink to create some seaweed .

Next with some of the worker stamps from both stamp sets and adding in some purple to my colour palette, with Distress ink Villainous  Potion an other layer was added to my background .To add some texture I used some texture paste through the larger circles on set 3 Dinkables.

Lastly to finish my background a stitched border was added with a black fine liner pen .

Using both stamp sets and combination of Ecoline water colour pens and Distress inks I created a collection of stamped images to add to my page.

Here then is my under water page with all the stamped elements glued down and a sentiment from the Doodle Art Seahorse added .

Hi There! Here's a card I made using the Beautiful seahorse stamp set and some vintage colours as inspiration for our challenge over in the Bee Crafty Stamps Facebook group.

I began by stamping over a 14cm square piece of cream card using the Shell stamps and some of the other worker stamps, Using Vintage photo and Tea Dye distress ink. I also blended some around the edge.

On a old book page I stamped the seahorse in Pinecone Versafine Clair ink

Next I coloured it using pencil crayons, trimming it to size and blending a little more vintage photo distress ink around the edges. I matted both panels on to some dark brown card and added to the front of a 15cm square kraft card. 

Finally I added a stamped sentiment in Pinecone Versafine Clair ink. 

Here is the finished card again.

Alison CT - Doodle Art Fishes

Hi everyone today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this art journal page using the new products.

To begin, I cut a piece of the A4 Rainbow Bubbles Catalyst Collage paper to fit my art journal.  I edged the paper with Salty Ocean distress oxide, then glued it to my page. I then blended Warn Lipstick and Mustard Seed distress oxides through the Hearts dinkable from set 1.

On an off cut of the Rainbow Boards Catalyst Collage, I stamped three of the same fish using Versafine Clair nocturne ink.  I added white pen, then cut them out.

I continued to work on the background by blending salty ocean distress oxide through the dots texture disc from set 1.

I then stamped the coral stamp along the bottom of the page using Melon Soda Versafine Clair and the seaweed stamp using Verdant Versafine.

Next, I stamped the swirls using Bali Blue Versafine Clair. 

I, then, added the fishes to the page.

Finally I stamped and cut out one of the sentiments from Ticker Tape 4 and glued it to the page.

Calee CT - Seahorse Plaque

Hello ,  this week I have  a bit of a different  project to share . A small wooden plaque , just before these  gorgeous stamps and papers were released I was on holiday by the sea and saw lots of sea themed decor. So this is my home made souvenir 

My first step was to choose a catalyst paper to cover my plaque. I did this by tracing the shape of the plaque onto the paper ,cutting it out then gluing it down . For this I use gel medium , but PVA glue or Matt medium would work just as well .

When the glue was thoroughly dry I sanded down all of the excess paper from the edges .For this I used a combination of an emery board and a small file.

Next I gave my board some texture using  Dinkable from set 15 and some white texture paste ,using up the rest of the paste randomly on my plaque .

I then added to my background with some of the worker stamps in the Doodle Art Seahorse set using Distress inks Blueprint Sketch and Picked Raspberry and some stencilling with a Dinkable from set 2 and Mowed Lawn Distress ink .

Next I created some sea weed using the leaves from the Journaling Essentials #7 stamp set . I didn’t want the white card to show through my stamping so created an inked background adding Distress oxide Twisted citron to my combination of inks ,then stamped the leaves over the top using Blueprint Sketch .

The leaves were then cut out  and added to elements from both  Doodle Art Seahorse and Fishes stamp sets  ,which had been previously coloured with a combination of Ecoline watercolour pens and distress inks .

These elements were then added to my plaque some glued down and others raised slightly with some double sided foam tape , to build the dimension .

Finally to finish my plaque I added  the sentiment from the seahorse set and some real sea shells and sea themed beads ,which I think go well with the design but I also think the design would  work just as well with out them ,I just can resist adding more bits and pieces !

I’m really pleased with how my plaque turned out and it will definitely remind me of my sea side holiday.

 Hi There! Last Thursday Bev and Sam were on Shop Unlimited with some Brand new stamps and papers. Here are some samples. This first one features the beautiful seahorse on a sheet from the Rainbow bubbles catalyst collage papers. 

Next I created a journal spread using the Doodle art fishes, Dinkables set 7 and some spray inks

Heres a card using some of the worker stamps, a fish and some of the leaf dinkables from sets 6 and 14

For my next journal pages I used more of the Rainbow Bubbles Catalyst collage papers and the Seahorse set

Finally here's another journal page using the Rainbow Boards papers and the Doodle art Fishes, with some of the shells from the seahorse set in the Background.
