Alison CT - I See You

Hi everyone today I'm sharing some inspiration for Sally's challenge in the Bee Crafty Stamps Facebook group. This month's theme is inkables,  any of the inkables, so for this art journal page I have used Inkables Big Ones.

To begin, I blended a mix of Peacock Feathers and Seedless Preserve distress ink through the Abstract Big One covering the whole of a piece of 7 x 10 inches piece of card.

I then added some Festive Berries distress ink to the centre of the page using the Bakewell Big One.

Next I used Versafine Clair nocturne ink to stamp the two parts of the I See You stamp set just below the centre of the page.

I then used the border stamp from the Doodle Art Dancing Daisy stamp set, with Versafine Clair nocturne, to create a border around the edge of the page.

On separate card, I stamped the two sizes of the flowers and leaves from the Doodle Art Dandedaisy stamp set and the anemic writing circle from the Doodle Art Dancing Daisy stamp set several times. I coloured them using the distress inks and cut them out.

Next, I glued the piece to a piece of black card.

I added the flowers, leaves and circles to the page.

Finally,  I stamped the three sentiments, from the Creativity Words stamp set, directly on to the page using Versafine Clair nocturne ink.

Calee CT -Imagine something wonderful

Hi everyone , this week I have been playing in my journal and my garden . This page was inspired by various plants in the garden and the promise of those to come .Here’s my step by step guide .

First I chose one of the A5 Spring Paint catalyst collage papers to use in my journal of a similar size .

This was then trimmed to size ,leaving a border all around , creating a frame 

Next I added some stencilling using Dinkables from set 2 and Distress oxide inks Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry .I chose these as they reflected the colours in the collage paper. Next I added some white texture paste to give my page some more dimension .

Leaving my background to dry, I stamped out the Doodle Art Cone flower and coloured with my Ecoline watercolour pens.

Returning to my background and using some of the small stamps from the Cone Flower stamp set I added some stamping with Villainous Potion distress ink  and some heart  and lines with a sharpie pen, through this Dinkable from set 14 . A stitched border was added to my frame using a black fine liner pen , this completed my background.

My final step was to add my cone flower and one of these little birds from the Doodle Art Rainbow Birds,which I had leftover from my previous project. This sentiment from the small words stamp set seemed perfect as hopefully my garden will look wonderful in a few months time.

Alison CT - Three Floral Notelet Cards

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a guide to creating these three floral notelet cards. They are also inspiration for Sally's new challenge in the Facebook group  - Inkables.

For the first card, I began by blending wilted violet distress oxide through the text part of the Coffee Stains Text Inkable. Then I blended seedless preserve distress oxide through the Coffee stains part of the same inkable. Next I stamped the zig-zag hand drawn border, using Versafine Clair nocturne ink, to create a frame. On separate card I stamped the large Doodle Art Daisy head twice. I coloured them with seedless preserve and wild honey distress oxides, then cut them out. I mounted the background piece onto a 5x7 landscape card, then added the daisies and a Small Words sentiment. 

For the second card, I blended ripe persimmon distress oxide through the stripes on the Triangle Stripes inkable. Next I blended crackling campfire distress oxides through the Perspective Circles inkables. I then stamped the rectangles freehand border, using Versafine Clair nocturne ink,  to create a border. Finally I added a stamped Doodle Art Sunflower head and a Small Word sentiment. 

For the final card, I blended shabby shutters distress oxide through the Metal Work Alpha inkable. Then I blended salty ocean distress oxide through the Alternate Circles inkable. I stamped the circle Freehand Borders stamp using Versafine Clair nocturne.  On separate card I stamped both the Doodle Art Tulips and coloured them with salty ocean,  antique linen and shabby shutters distress oxide. After cutting them out I glued them to the card and stamped a Small Words sentiment.

Calee CT - Bee Crafty Palette week 17

Hi  , my step by step for you this week is a card using the colours from the Bee Crafty palette ,can you believe we are up to week 17 !

 Firstly I cut a piece of card slightly big than the  6x6 inch easy frame and taped the frame down .

Next I added some ink ,using Lucky Clover and Broken China .This was then spritzed with a little water and some of the ink removed .

Taking this Inkables tag from set 1 and Twisted Citron distress oxide , a strip of stencilling was added.

Then using some of the smaller stamps from the Doodle Art Dandedaisy and Rustic Wilderness distress ink I randomly stamped some leaves and added few circles which were coloured in white . I also added some white dot detailing to the stencilled area and a stitched border.

My next step was to stamp and colour the Doodle Art Dandedaisy. This was coloured with a combination of the distress inks and Ecoline water colour pens prom the colour palette ,with some white highlights .

My background was given an edging with some Villainous Potion Distress ink and mounted on to a white card blank .

To finish my card I glued down the Dandedaisy and added a sentiment from the Everyday sentiments 1 stamp set ,edged in black and cut as a banner . As you will notice I also added a smaller Dandedaisy , coloured to coordinate ,to the top corner to complete the design .

Sally CT - My most favourite Bee Crafty Colour Palette yet!

 

Hi there! I had a lovely time playing in my journal with the latest Bee Crafty Palette. Here's what I did. 

I began by sponging Broken China and Twisted Citron across a double page in my 5x5" journal. 

Next I used the Fern Flourish and Bakewell Inkable: Big ones and blended through some Villainous Potion and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide inks.

I also sprayed a little Twisted citron Distress Spritz through the inkable. 

Whilst the background was drying I stamped the Doodle Art Dragonfly in Versafine clair black ink and coloured it using broken China and Villainous potion Distress Oxide inks. I also added a few white pen dots. 

Once the background was dry I added some stamping using the smaller stamps from Journaling Essentials #9 and the same distress oxide inks. 

Next I added the dragonfly to the page using matte medium. 

On a scrap of lime green card I stamped the ticker tape sentiment in black versafine clair. I cut it out and added it to the page with matte medium.

Alison CT - Spring Zing

Hi everyone today I'm sharing a card as inspiration for Sally's challenge. 

Begin by pouring a little amount of Dina Wakley gloss spray on to a blending mat.  Allow it to spread naturally then dip a 6 x6 inch square of card in to it. Repeat with a second colour.

Blend wild honey distress oxide through the chevron texture disc from set 3.

Create a white circular frame. I've used stitched circle dies to do this.

Mat and layer the background on to black card then a card blank. Add the frame using foam pads.

On separate card stamp 2 large and 3 small five petal flowers from the Blooming Blooms stamp set and 5 leaves from Journaling Essentials 5. Colour to match the background and cut out.

Add the flowers to the frame using a wet glue and foam pads. Stamp the sentiment in the centre of the circle.

Calee CT - Trio of Spring Flowers

Hi, this week I have a trio of tags using the small flowers from the Spring Flowers Doodle Art stamps and bits and pieces from my bit box .

Firstly working on all three tags and using Squeezed Lemonade ,Tumbled Glass and Saltwater Taffy a smooshed background colour was added to each tag .

Next using the background Script stamp and the same three inks each tag was given  a layer of script .

 Over this I added some scraps of catalyst cards, some torn pieces and some more precisely cut .

Then using more distress inks in corresponding colours and the filler stamps from the Spring Flowers Doodle Art stamps more layers were built up on each tag . The colours used were Cracking Campfire , Blueprint Sketch ,Villainous Potion and Picked Raspberry.

The nextstep was to have a little rummage in my bit box , where I found the  three clocks from the Time is Free Art stamps set and  three butterflies from the Birds and Butterflies Art Stamp set .All I needed  to do was cut them out ,as there was all ready lots of colour in my background I chose to leave them mono chrome .

Next l stamped out the smaller version of the Spring  Flowers , the  Daffodil , Tulip  and Lillius .These were then coloured with Ecoline water colour pens .

Here are my finished tags and I’m afraid to say this is where I got a little carried away completing them and didn’t take s many photos as I should . However as you can see I mounted them on to black card and added a white stitched border. Then glued a clock ,butterfly and flower on each one along with a sentiment from each stamp set .
