Marleen DT - Distress Crayons and Butterflies

Todays projects is for BeeCrafty.

I had a right good play making this card. Its one of those that came together quite fast. It just kind a flowed..

For this card I used the following goodies:

Inkable template, Easy frame 4" circle

BEAUtanical - Large Branch

Winged things - Butterflies Set 2

WORDage - Friendship

 I also used Distress crayons and my Wink of Stella shimmer brush

 This card is made by laying down lots of different colours of Distress Crayons. I just smudged the colours with my fingers to get the blended look. I then took my inkable circle and and lay in the middle. I took a babywipe and ran it around inside the circle to remove some of the crayon. 

I left the card to dry and once dry I stamped my sentiment and my branches. I used black Archival ink. I also stamped my butterflies on some scrap card, coloured them with crayons and cut them out.

 To finish it was a simple black mat and gluing on my butterflies.

A very simple yet dramatic card.

Kerrie DT - Spookylicious Abi Grace

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

Wowser these weeks are flying by so fast and Autumn is in full swing so out came my Halloween Stamps and papers 

I had a lot of fun making this card using the Gorgeous 'Spellbound Abi' stamp set, Ive added lots of layers and extra stamps 'Spooklicious' from the Spellbound Abi set, 'Spiderweb' & 'Spooky Scene' from the All Hallows collecion and the BEAUtanicals 'Large Branch' 

I coloured Spellbound Abi using my fave Alcohol Markers after stamping her using a pale grey inkpa to give the no lines look which I love. 

I stamped the Spooky Scene, Large Branch and Spooylicious onto a gorgeous Halloween Backing Paper from my stash to create the background of my card. I then added a few offcuts from my scrap box which I matted using silver mirror board off cuts (using offcuts for smaller layers is great as you then dont have to cut into new sheets and you save a lot of wasting)

The music score I cut from another seet of Halloween Backing Paper from the same pad as before - I love this paper pad and will be making a few more Halloween makes from it this year 

To finish up my card I have used lots of matt & layering, Diecuts, lots of distress inks for edges and I layered the elements using foam tape and jaunty angles

Hello crafty friends :-)

Its time for my weekly slot for

Bee Crafty.

This week Ive had a play with the 

"Branch" stamp from the BEAUtanical range.

Ive also used the "Best wishes" stamp.

You can find both in the STORE with all the other goodies..

Here is what Ive made for this week:

 

For this card I wanted to go nice and colour full. And I just love the reds and pinks in the distress range. So what I did was simply to cut an mat to fit my card blank and smother it in those colors.
I then took my branch stamp and stamped of the edges all the way round my mat till I was happy with the amount of branches.

For the greeting I simply took a piece of card stock and stamped the greeting twice and added the little "tail" under and added onto the card with foam pads.

A quick little card yet very striking.

Marleen DT - Pocket Letter

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog.

 

Its once again wednesday and time for my weekly slot for

Bee Crafty.

This week Ive had a play with a whole heap of stamps as I've had another go at making a pocket letter.

Ive used the following stamps:

 Large Branch

  Clover

Here is what Ive made for this week.

 

 

 

 

 

 

All I did was cutting my pieces of card to fit each pocket. Then painted all the cards with different colours. I used H2o's with sprays of water to colour mine.

I then stamped each card with my chosen stamp and added a few decorations.
All I need now to finish of this pocket letter is to fil the pockets with goodies and a letter and send to my swap partner.

Morning blogger friends..

A post this morning for 

Bee Crafty..

Once again I had a new shipment of fantastic stamps from Bee Crafty.

Im like a little kid in a sweet shop when i see the parcels land through my letterbox and this time was no diffenrent. So away to my craft room I went and strait away whipped up this little card I have to show today.

Ive used the "Large Branch" stamp from the BEAUtanical range

as well as my trusty sentiment stamp "Best wishes/Special thoughts".

 For this card I cut a mat to fit my card blank.

I then cut a circle out of the mat and put thecut-out to the side for using later.

I then took my mat and covered in several green distress inks. and a quick spray of a home made glimmer spray before piercing the edges with a pokey tool and adding to my card blank on foam pads.

Taking my cut-out circle I took my branch stamp and stamped of the edge. I used black staz-on ink to make sure it wouldnt smudge when I added a bit of brown distress ink round the edges. I stuck the circle dont flat onto the card through the circle alredy made.
I finished with a bit of brown distress ink around the edge of the whole card and voila..

And that is all from me for today. I cant wait to play with this stamp some more.

Happy Friday so its my turn to post for Bee Crafty

I ordered some new Stamps & Inkables Templates in the last 2 weeks and couldnt wait to get inky - I love the FASHIONette's so much and I've been eager to try out the templates with my Distress Inks

I stamped 'Peggy' onto watercolour cardstock (which I had trimmed to fit an 8x8 cardblank with a few mm border) using Archival Ink because I wated to use lots of water and didnt want the image to bleed. I then stamped again onto eclipse masking tape and cut her out to make a mask which I fixed over her on the watercolour cardstock.

The background I created by blending 'Antique Linen' & 'Tattered Rose' distress inks using a round blending tool. I then placed the 'Circles' inkables template over the corners and sprayed through with water, then used a 'microfibre cloth' to remove the excess water and lift the colour away from the wet areas too. this showed up quite faint though as the colours I used were a bit pale.

Next I used the 'Metalwork Alpha' inkables template around the edges using 'Victorian Velvet' distress ink. I inked the edges using 'Pumice Stone' distress ink. I sprinkled over some rock salt and sprayed with water, waited for the salt to react a bit then dried the card using a heat gun on a low setting. I brushed the salt off to reveal the speckles where it had reacted with the ink.

Next I stamped the 'Maple Outline' stamps slightly off the page and painted over them using 'Pumice Stone' distress ink. I also randomly stamped the 'Large Branch' BEAUtanicals stamp accross the top of the card and 'Dandies' Backdrop Border stamp along the bottom of the card using 'Frayed Burlap' distress ink.

I also randomly stamped the 'Cow Parsley' & 'Branches' BEAUtanicals stamps randomly using 'Tattered Rose' & 'Victorian Velvet' around the edge of the card.

I reused the 'Circles' inkables template around the corners again dry template this time using 'Antique Linen' distress ink and the round blending tool, this showed up a lot better with the paler colours.

I then removed the mask from 'Peggy' which revealed that no ink had slipped through and she was perfectly blank for me to add colour to. I used Distress Inks as watercolours using a blending mat and a waterbrush. The colours I used were all the same ones from the background.

I matted the finished picture onto dark brown mirror board and attached to my 8x8 cardbalnk using foam tape.

Lastly I stamped the 'Decision to Try' WORDage stamp onto an offcut of watercolour card using the 'Pumpice Stone' ink, I then trimmed the words out and matted them onto dark brown mirror board, I then fixed them to the finished card using foam tape for dimension.
