Sally CT -Texture

Hi There! We have a brand new theme of Texture for our challenge over on the Bee crafty Stamps group so I thought I would share how I made this textured background.

I began by covering a 10cm square of card in Matte Medium and scrunched up a piece of stamping tissue over the top before leaving it to dry

Once dry I trimmed the edges and then sprayed with Distress oxide sprays.
When this was dry I used a darker shade of distress oxide ink direct to the paper to bring out the texture some more.
I used the Bakewell Big one inkable to add a little coordinating ink to the base card.
On a separate piece of card I stamped the Doodle Art Dragonfly in Black versafine Clair and cut it out.
Using ecoline brush pens I coloured it in.
I stuck the body of the dragonfly to the textured panel and added some glitter glue.
Here's the card once more...
along with a closeup of that texture. I have left it without a sentiment for now but will add an appropriate one when I use it.
I used:
Big ones Inkable - I used Bakewell
6x6" card
10 cm square of card
Versafine Clair ink in black
Ecoline Brush pens
Distress oxide sprays - I used Peacock feathers and Squeezed lemonade
Distress oxide ink - I used Peacock Feathers and Uncharted Mariner
Glitter Glue

I hope this has encouraged you to experiment a little with texture!
