Calee CT -Tiny Bird

Hello , this week for my blog , I am using up a background I made a couple of weeks ago , to make this tiny bird card , so you may recognise it .

Here’s the background , l used two distress inks and two Inkables to make an A4 size background and had this piece left .

To give a little more dimension to the background I used some coloured texture paste , in a deep purple , through this tiny circle D’inkable .Then using the tweet tweet stamp from the Doodle Art Rainbow Birds stamp set . I stamped a wordy boarder all long the right side .

Next I inked around the edge of the card to give more definition and draw the eye to the centre of the card , where the main image would be going .

To finish the background I used white gel pen to add a stitched border effect and a white Posca pen to add a few clusters of white dots .

Using the Doodle Art Rainbow Birds Birds and the Art Stamps Journaling essentials #7. I stamped out my main images . Colouring my bird with a variety of Ecoline water colour pens .

My card was finished by layering the rainbow bird on top of the cut out leaves ,  the sentiment from the Rainbow bird stamp set was mounted on to black card and added on a slight angle .
For my card today I used
White and black card , white posca and gel pens and some coloured texture paste .
Thank you for taking a look at my Tiny Bird card and I hope you enjoyed my step by step .
Happy crafting

Sally CT - Vintage Vibes

Hi There! I am here with a vintage feel journal spread today. Here's how I did it.

I began by brayering a mix of Vintage photo, Victorian Velvet and Bundled sage Distress ink in patches across the page.

Next I used the Crackle and script background stamps along with the roman Numerals to stamp randomly around the page using the same inks.
Using the Set 2 Dinkables I added some Diamonds in bundled sage...
and some bricks in Vintage photo.
Next I stamped A Stitch in Time using Versafine Clair Portobello on the right page, adding some stamping of the outer edges around the left page.
on a separate piece of card I smooshed the Bundled sage and Victorian Velvet ink before stamping it with a Stitch in Time once more, using Versafine Clair.
I cut out a few elements adding a little more Victorian Velvet ink...
and attached to the pages using Matte Medium.
I added wordy Stickers for the sentiment...
And added a few splatters of fossilized amber and Picked Raspberry Distress Spritz.
Here are the finished pages again.
I used:
A 5x5" notebook
Distress inks -I used Vintage Photo, Bundled Sage and Victorian Velvet
Roman Numerals (Discontinued)
Distress Spritz - I used Fossilized Amber and Picked Raspberry

Alison CT - Dragonfly

Hi everyone today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this art journal page.

To begin, I used my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints to create a background.
Next I used both the frond d'inkables from set 1 with black soot distress ink.
Then I added some text using the text inkable and the black ink already in my blending brush.

Next I blended Worn Lipstick distress ink through the Offset Dots inkable.

Then I stamped the script background stamp using distress black soot ink.
Next I used just the ink in my black blending brush through the Grande Alpha.
I then added some torn strips of washi from my stash.
On seperate card,  I stamped the dragonfly and ledger circle from the Dragonfly stamp set, the click and ledger circle from the Dragonfly Art stamp set, the tape measure from the Stitched Borders stamp set, the ledger from the Ledger, Inkwell and Nibs stamp set and the square and lines from the Journaling Essentials 2 stamp set. I gave these a watercolour wash in shades of pink and brown. When dry I cut them out and edged with Gathered Twigs distress oxide.
I glued all the elements to the page using a mix of glue and foam pads.
Finally I stamped the Dragonfly word, cut it out and edged it with Gathered Twigs distress oxide, then glued it to the page.
Products used:
Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints
Distress Ink - black soot, worn lipstick
Distress Oxide - gathered twigs
Washi tape from my stash

Calee -CT A trio of butterflies

Hi , this week I am taking my inspiration from Sallys challenge theme for February :3 . I also decided to stick to a simple card .As I usually throw everything at my projects , this was a challenge in itself !

I started by cutting a piece of of card to fit my 6x6 card blank and choosing 3 distress ink colours , which I would then use throughout my project , I created a smooshed background . I like to use a piece of acetate with a spray of water for this , as I find I can move it around easily to spread the ink where I want it .

Looking through my stamps I found this set of birds and butterflies and the stitched boarders , I  stamped the small butterfly out 3 times and the tape measure boarder twice I knew I would cut this into smaller pieces to use , so 2 would be enough .

Next I coloured the butterflies with the distress ink and choosing ecoline water colour pens in the best shades to match ,added a little more depth .

These were then cut out with a small white boarder and the butterflies were given a little squeeze to give them some dimension .

It was now time to go back to my background and as I had decided to keep this card simple. l chose to draw on a black boarder , using a ruler and sharpie pen . This was followed by some doodling to complete my frame .

My 3 butterflies and 3 tape borders were then glued in place and a sentiment stamped straight on to the card , again to keep things simple . As this was a two word sentiment ,I added a cheeky hand drawn kiss to  give it 3 parts .
For this project I used
A black fine liner pen , a black wide marker pen , white gel pen and white card .

I hope you like my take on this months challenge theme, thank you for looking .

Sally CT - Three Little Flowers

Hi There! I am here with a very simple card for you today, but perfect for our theme over in the Bee Crafty Stamps Facebook Group Challenge (where the theme is 3).

I began by blending 3 shades of distress oxide inks through the mandala inkable, top left and bottom right on a 6x6 white card.
Next I cut out 3 x 4cm squares of coordinating plain paper and stuck them down the middle of the card with matte medium.
On a piece of vellum/ parchment paper, I stamped one of the flowers from journaling Essentials #4. I stamped it three times and white embossed them.
I cut out the flowers and shaped a little with a ball tool before attaching to the card using foam pads.
Next I stamped the dotty line border around the corners top right and bottom left using one of the inks.
I then stamped the sentiment on a scrap of card using one of the inks.
Finally I added the sentiment to the card using more foam pads.

I used:
6x6 white card
Distress oxide inks - I used Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet
Vellum/ Parchment paper
Versamark ink pad
Coordinating paper cut into 4cm squares
foam pads

Alison CT - Transparency Prints Art Journal

Hi everyone,  having answered Bev's question about favourite Bee Crafty products, I decided to create an art journal page using mostly transparencies.

To begin, use distress collage medium to adhere an old book page to the page in a dylusions journal. Leave the glue to dry.

Next, spritz the page with broken china and faded jeans distress oxide sprays. Spritz with water and tip the page to encourage drips. Then using the long edge of a super skinny slim, tap it on to the wet ink and then tap over the page to create lines. Leave to dry.

Whilst the background dries, choose and cut out the transparency prints.

Also choose and cut out a sentiment.

Add texture to the background by blending cracked pistachio distress oxide through the circles inkable tag from set 4 and faded jeans distress oxide through the circle and lines inkable tag from set 5.

Use distress collage medium to adhere the transparency prints to the page. Add the sentiment.

The page needed more, so I cut out and added some letters and numbers transparencies.
Products used:
