Hi everyone, for the second part of my mjni journal I decided I was going to create exactly the same pages, but switch it up by replacing any coloured parts with black, grey or white and all the black and white parts with coloured parts.
Because of the 3D elements on each page, I place the mdf onto the greyscale cards and roughly drew round them and cut them out.
Next I stamped the corresponding background using nocturne versafine clair and heat embossed in clear.
Next I glued each one to the back of the coresponding page and used an emery board to remove any excess when the glue was dry.
For the first inside page of the journal, I covered the MDF with the corresponding greyscale catalyst cards.
I then stamped, on white card, the Stitch in Time stamp, the leaves and circles from Journaling Essentials 2 and one of the sketchy birds. I cut out the watch and clock face from the Stitch in Time image and all the other images. I coloured the elemenrs, leaving the bird white.
I glued these to the page using collage medium and foam tape to raise some images.
For the next page, after covering it with the catalyst card, I stamped the Butterfly Stitch, sketchy bird and the leaves and squares from Journaling Essentials 2 on to white card.
I cut out elements from the Butterfly Stitch image and every thing else.
I coloured the elements and left the bird white.
Then I glued everything to the page.
For the third page, after covering it with the corresponding catalyst card, I
I stamped the inkwell and nibs, leaves from Journaling Essentials 2, one of the sketchy flowers and dragonfly on to white card. I cut all of these out and coloured them, leaving the dragonfly uncoloured.
I then glued everything to the page and added a few of the squares I had left over from the previous page.
For the fourth page, after covering it with the corresponding catalyst card, I
stamped the Scripted Bee, leaves from Journaling Essentials 2, the large bee and one of the crowns from the Bee Monarchy stamp and a Sketchy Bird.
I cut out some of the hexagons, circles and clock from the Scripted Bee image, the crowns, bee, leaves and sketchy bird. I coloured them and left the bird white.
For the final page, after covering it with the corresponding catalyst card, I stamped the main image, clock ledger circle and paintbrushes from the Dragonfly Art set, the ledger circle from Dragonfly set, the leaves from the Journaling Essentials 2 and a Sketchy Bird on to white card.
I coloured the elements and left the bird white. I then cut out all the images.
I then glued them to the page.
