Alison CT - Floral Inspiration with minimal products.

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing a step by step guide to creating this art journal page as inspiration for Sally's challenge.
To begin,  I blended spiced marmalade and wild honey distress oxide over the page. I then added crackling campfire around the edges.
Next, I placed the Botanical Garden big one on the page and rubbed a damp cloth to remove the surface ink from the page I repeated this in the opposite corner.
Using the same big one I blended Mustard seed distress ink through it in the other two corners.
Then I added a border using the small border stamp from the Doodle Art Dragonfly stamp set with Crackling Campfire distress oxide.
Next I added some more subtle texture to the background using spiced marmalade oxide with the small chevron and brick wall style stamps from the Dragonfly stamp set. I also added the line and dots stamp using Versafine Clair nocturne ink.
On separate card I stamped the dragonfly, flower and stem using nocturne ink.  I coloured the images with my pencils and cut the images out. I stamped the dragonfly on to my background so that I could include the dots and didn't need to cut out the legs.

I glued these to the page, grounding the flower on the border.
Finally I added a Wordy Stickers sentiment from the Winter sheet. I drew a black border around the edges of the sentiment.
Products used:
Distress oxides - crackling,  wild honey,  spiced marmalade
Distress ink - mustard seed
Versafine Clair nocturne

Thank you for taking a look.
Alison
