Calee CT- Doodle Art Bee

Hello , this week I’m sharing how I created this spring bloom journal page for my step by step guide.

My first step then was to choose a catalyst collage paper from the Spring Blooms A5  pack of papers  and cut it to size for my 6 x6 inch journal .

Next I layered some ink onto my background using Dinkables from set 15 and distress inks Wilted Violet and Mowed Lawn . Then using white and pink gel pens lots of stitched details were add to most of the flowers to bring then more into the foreground .

Deciding the Doodle Art Bee would look good among the flowers and because I can’t remember the last time I used it . I stamped and coloured it using a combination of Ecoline watercolour pens and distress ink Broken China .

Then going back to my background some small areas of honeycomb were added with distress ink Crackling campfire and a stamp fromthe Doodle Art Bee ,to tie the bee into  the background .At this stage I also created a frame to my page with a double stitch boarder ,white gel pen on the catalyst collage paper and black fineliner on the  journal page .

My page was finished by gluing on the bee and adding a sentiment using the Bee Words 2 transparency  prints , mounted on white card .

I really enjoy working with the catalyst collage paper ,which are so versatile , thank you for taking a look at my page .
Happy crafting
Calee
