Hi this week I have a journal page using catalyst Collage papers ,which is this month’s challenge theme . Aren’t we lucky there are so many beautiful ones choose from ?
For this page, I am using my 8 x 8in journal and a catalyst collage paper from the Daisy Rainbow Paint A5 pack.
The first step was tear the paper into pieces and glue them onto my page, to this I then randomly added some script washi tape. As I wanted to keep a white border all around my page I taped a small border off using another washi tape.
Next three inks, distress crushed olive, uncharted mariner and distress oxide ripe persimmon and three Inkables from sets 15 and 7 were used to fill in the white space and draw the page together.
After removing the washing tape from around the edges of my page. It was time to add some doodling, hearts and lines were added with a white Posca pen ,dots added to the Daisies and also some larger lines of pink dots.
Choosing the doodle Dandedaisy Stamp set, I used the large leaf stamp to add another layer to my background. For this I used a black ink as I would be stamping my main image in black.
As my background was very colourful and busy, I decided my focal image would need to be uncoloured .I wanted a little detail so using the Art stamp Script background, I stamped onto a white sheet of card and then over stamped the Dandedaisy, I could’ve used an old book page for this, but I wanted a white image.
This is a picture of my completed page. As you can see I decided on two dandedaisies and added a little colour to their centres. I also stamped 3 of the doodle circles from art journal Elements #2 onto the same white card. My page was then finished with a sentiment from the wordage Incredible words Stamp set and finally a white stitched border was added
