Did you catch Janes shows on Hochanda yesterday... Wow just wow!  Jane designed some fabulous stamps that could be used as tress, flowers, fairies... let you imagination go wild! Here's a quick 'how to' with one of Janes new sets.. "Magical Day" & some of my samples from the shows ...

You will need:

A Tag..

Janes Magical Day  and Balls & Boarders Stamp Sets

Stencils... Circles and Regular Dots

Distress Oxides... Broken China, Festive Berries, Mowed Lawn

VersaMark

Embossing Powders... White & Clear

Versa Clair, Nocturne

Acrylic paint... soft blue & pale pink

Fine black wire

Bakers Twine

Available @beecrafty

First daub two colours of paint on to tag (pic 1) & dry.

Use Circles stencil & Broken China ink to create spheres (pic 2) & dry.

Then using Festive Berries ink through Regular Dots stencil ad-hoc (pic3), dry & dust with an anti static bag (this is so the embossing powder doesn't stick to the wet ink).

Using Versa Mark, stamp the balls from Janes new stamp set into the spheres and emboss in white. (pic 4)

Next stamp the Magical Day 'tree' in Versa Clair, on to plain piece of paper & emboss in clear powder.

Colour in using the Distress Oxides or pens/pencils of your choice, add a face as in pic 4.

Add some wire arms. Adhere using a gel medium or 3D glue. Complete with Bakers Twine.

HOW TO MAKE:

Spritz some plain white sheets of tissue paper with some spray inks...

then stamp the scripted bee stamp onto the tissue using black archival ink...

use mod podge to adhere the tissue to the mini canvas board...

add some scripted detail using the coffee stain script ink'able and texture paste...

stamp and fussy cut the large butterfly, colour with a couple of spritzs of spray ink...

for more interest add the coffee stain rings and metal alpha D'inkable details using distress oxides (I chose twisted citron and seedless preserve)...

stamp out the smallest bee from the bee monarchy stamp set just to fill in the background and add more depth. Stamp and fussy cut the ticker tape sentiment of your choice...

glue everything onto your canvas board including a small piece of twine curled up under the butterfly. 

Edge the sides of the canvas in black distress ink (or similar) 

That's it!

Sally DT - New Home Card

 Hello again! As the current challenge on the Bee Crafty Stamps facebook group is to use stencils, I thought I would share a card using the Doodle Art Rainbow View house stamp over a stencilled background. 

I started off with a 5 1/2 inch square of satin finish art card and distress oxide inks in faded jeans, wilted violet and shaded lilac. I sponged a 3rd of the card stock in each colour.

I put the Eclipse Trellis stencil over the top and then dabbed at the ink with a cloth dampened with water before setting aside to dry.

Next I took a piece of mixed media card and stamped and coloured the house and 3 trees on to it. 

  After cutting these out I attached the house to the stencilled background with 3d glue. 

 I stamped the trees onto the background first, then added the coloured trees and sentiment with more 3d glue. 

 There are brand new stamps from Bee Crafty out on Thursday on Hochanda at 11am and 3pm. They are designed by Jane Royston, and are fabulous!  Here is a sneaky peek.

Jane DT - Monochrome Easel Card

 Hello!

Today on the Bee Crafty blog I am sharing a simple but elegant card...

I started by using circle dies to cut some black and white circles as well as creating my card base.

Using the Birds and Butterflies stamps and die set I decorated one of the white circles and created a large butterfly for the middle.

Lastly I stamped a sentiment from Everyday Sentiments 2 to mount onto foam tape as the easel stopper.

Hi everyone, today is a mixed media page how to... using up your excess inks or paint is not just economical, it can save time too. Having a mini journal to play in can give you inspiration to create... Bee Crafty have some great journals...

How To:

If you don't have a 'mop up' piece create a background by mopping up or as Bev says "smoosh", your piece of paper through some distress inks, drying in between layers with a heat gun. (pic 1)

Ink the mandala in the strongest colour.. lightly spritz with water & lay on to page. Use a paper towel over the top to take up the excess moisture, dry. (pic 2)

Place brick stencil onto page, randomly spread some crackle paint or paste through (pic 3) leave to dry.

Stamp Daisy (Versafine Clair) onto a separate piece of paper, use a clear embossing powder over the top, heat & cool. Colour using Distress Oxides/ Intense watercolour pencils or paint, dry & then cut out.

When bricks / paint are dry, using a watercolour pencil (or watercolour paint, distress crayon, scribble stick) draw in the 'grout' add water & let it 'run' in between, mopping up excess as you go. ( pic 5)

Stamp freehand (without a block) the Random Numbers, then stamp (using a block) 'DAISY' word in Versafine Clair, blot & dry (saves smudges), then adhere cut out daisy, some splatters of white & it's done! (pic 5 )

A tag using the distressed diamonds ink'able stencil with foil relief paste and foiling sheet. Stitched borders and tape, large dragonfly and cabbage white with ticker tape sentiment.

Card using maple easy frame, stitch border, large bird, web D'inkable and small word sentiment.

A tag using two large birds, D'inkable triangles, wildflower stamp in background and ticker tape sentiment.

Mixed media panel with dots ink'able with texture paste, panel of torn tissue, stamped and die cut small birds and butterflies, layered up and Holographic medium. Ticker tape life sentiment.

A card using brusho for the background, stamped daisy and small butterflies, stitch border stamps to add detail and sentiment from the daisy stamp set. 

MDF arch, metal alpha D'inkable with texture paste, embossed panel using a D'inkable through my big shot. Die cut butterflies and a ticker tape sentiment.

A card using oak leaf easy frame, brick wall D'inkable, stitch border stamps, large butterfly and small. Ticker tape sentiment.

Sally DT - A very quick single layer card

Hi there! I thought I would show you a very quick card suitable for all sorts of occaisions today, depending on the sentiment. The Beau-tanical leaves are perfect for this.

You will need a 6 x 6" card blank, Black versafine or versafine Clair, distress oxides in twisted citron and peeled paint (or two other shades of green), 6" Easy frame inkable nettle leaf, the nettle leaf stamp set, a sentiment - I used Time

First I sponged twisted citron distress oxide around the 'inny' mask from the stencil.

Next I inked up the smaller of the nettle leaves with Peeled paint distress oxide and stamped randomly around the edge of the card, staying out of the area that had been covered by the leaf mask.

Finally I inked up the sentiment with black versafine clair ink, and stamped it across the central leaf shape.

That simple and it is done!

Jane DT - Layered MDF Tag

Hello!

Today on the Bee Crafty blog I am sharing an MDF tag...

1) I applied texture paste through the Flower Garden large inkable onto an MDF tag and allowed it to dry overnight...

2) Once dry I painted it with white gesso...

3) Next I painted over it with Calypso Teal Dylusions paint and then added gold gilding wax to bring out the texture...

4) I chose some other MDF pieces which I painted with gesso, adding the leafy branch dinkable to the circle with texture paste...

5) I coated the clock part using gilding wax before adding it to the tag...

6) I painted the other MDF parts using Dylusions paint and added gold embossed script stamping to the flowers and buttons to the centres.  These were also then added to the tag...

7) After that I stamped out some butterflies onto heat resistant acetate and using double sided adhesive added gilding flakes to the backs.  I used the matching dies to cut them out as well as a piece of matching card for each.  Then I stamped out a ticker tape sentiment onto black card with gold powder...

8) Finally these were all added to the tag...
