Calee CT - Joy & Happiness

Hello , this week I have simple card design for my step by step , combining inspiration for this weeks colour palette and Sally’s challenge theme of using Journaling Essentials stamps .

My first step was to collect some inks , both distress and distress oxide, which fitted within the colour palette and a white piece of card .

Choosing two of the inks , Evergreen Bough and Cracked Pistachio I created a smooshed background using some acetate and spritz of water .

After adding a little Villainous Potion in the same way . I choose stamp set Journaling Essentials #9 ,intended to use just one set of stamps to create this card .

Using the smaller stamps and this week’s palette of colours, some random stamping added to my background.

Taking the large flower stamp from this set I stamped and coloured two flowers , These were coloured with a combination of distress inks and Ecoline water colours pens . White details were added with a gel pen.

After trying the coloured flowers on my background , I decided to use just one and added a stamped stem and leaves. This was done using Journaling Essentials #3 and stamping directly on to my background . A stitched border was added at this stage with white posca pen.

My card was finished off with a sentiment from the wordage stamp set , Phrases and Sentiments 1 . Then mounted on to a white card blank.

This is fairly simple card design , and although I did use  two sets of journaling stamps in the end , I hope it shows what you can create with just a few products .
Thank you for stopping by by this week
Happy crafting
Calee
