Hi everyone , having received the simply beautiful new catalyst collage papers , couldn’t resist a play with them . I have journal page to show you for my step by step this week .
My first step was to chose a catalyst collage paper , as this weeks palette colours seemed to coordinate so well with the Spring Paint collection I decided on this collection . I chose this A5 one and collected some inks and Ecoline water colour pens together .
Taking Dinkables from sets 2 and 15 and using Distress inks Mermaid Lagoon ,Cracked Pistachio and Distress Oxide kitsch Flamingo , some random stencilling was added.
Next I cut my paper to fit my journal page and added some Lucky Clover Distress ink all around my page, giving a darker frame then added a white stitched border using a Posca paint pen . The paper was then glued on to my page .
Next taking the small circle stamp from the Doodle Art Daisy set I stamped in a few places using black ink and coloured with my Ecoline pens .
The Doodle Art Daisy was then stamped and coloured with a combination of Distress inks and Ecoline pens .
After gluing down my Daisy and adding some white highlights ,I found this small butterfly from the Birds and Butterfly Art stamps in my bit box and as it was the perfect combination of colours I added it to my page along with one of the sentiments from the stamp set .
This is a fairly simple page with the beautiful catalyst collage papers doing most of the background work !
