Spotlight Moon by DT Ann

Spotlight Moon

by DT Ann

I saw a similar technique recently & wondered how I could do this in my journal... although it could easily be done on a smaller scale as a card.

I used:

Distress Oxide Sprays: Wild Honey, Picked Raspberry & Salty Ocean

Distress Oxide InksWild Honey/ Picked Raspberry/Salty Ocean/Faded Jeans/ Black Soot

Hero Arts: Unicorn (white)

Versafine Clair Nocturne & Twilight

Stamps : La Luna/ Texture Stars/Over the Moon/Moons & Stars Sentiments

Slims/Blending Tools/Posca/Gelly Roll Pens

Spritz Distress Spray Oxide Wild Honey, Pink Flamingo, Salty Ocean centrally on to your journal page.

When your sprays are dry, create a ring using Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink, then add on the outer edges Picked Raspberry.

*TIP* Use a piece of tissue/kitchen towel to protect your page from finger marks as it’s easy to smudge as your holding your page.

Add another ring of colour using Salty Ocean, working your way out wards, overlapping the colours ... go back in with the previous colour will give you a good blend.

The next colours are Faded Jeans & finally Black Soot, keep rotating your blending tool & adding colour. The ink sinks into the paper so don’t be afraid of adding more...

Sprinkle some water onto your page, let it “sit” it gives the inks time to oxidise.

Stamp some images from the Texture Stamps, , Over The Moon & La Luna sets, I used Hero Hues Unicorn, Versafine Clair Nocturne & Twilight & Brilliance Galaxy Gold inks.

Add a sentiment, Posca White pen splatters & a few doodles & dots using Gelli Roll pens ...

Hope you enjoyed reading, picked up some tips & are going to have a go...

Thank you for stopping by... Ann ♥️ xx
