Caz DT - Pyramid, Just for you card

A different style of card from me today...
Pyramid - just for you card:

PRODUCTS USED:

6x6 card base
6x6 card panel
Score board
Water spray
Versafine onyx black ink
Brad/fastener
Posca pens
Iridescent Angel hair

I used a 6x6 card base, and cut a 6x6 single panel. Scored diagonally on all 3 square areas...

Glue the panel onto the card base with the fold horizontal as above...

It should then fold into this pyramid shape, I clipped it to hold in place to show how it should look...

Fold back out flat and Ink the outer side with peacock feathers and kitsch flamingo oxides, this doesn't have to be flawless blending as you will see in the next step...

Spray with water - this will blend the 2 colours and get rid of the harsh lines to give a watercoloured effect...

Stamp butterflies in the same 2 oxide colours all over the background...

Stamp out some of the butterflies and dragonflies in versafine black, then die cut them...

Stamp out a sentiment using the typewriter alpha, I chose 'just for you'...

Fold up the card into pyramid shape and mark on the open edge about 1.5cm in - this is where we make a hole for the fastener...

I used a fiskars punch...

Colour your die cut elements in the same two oxide colours - I used a water brush to water colour with the inks...

Assemble your design and glue down. I added iridescent angel hair to back the elements onto for more interest. Put the Brad/fastener in the punched hole to hold the open flap in place.
This card folds flat for posting which is a bonus.
That's it!
