Alison CT - Be Incredible, Be strong, Be Amazing

Hello everyone, today I thought I would take inspiration from Bev's live this week and do a cut edge journal page. I decided to use the honeycomb 6 x 6 inkable for my edge, which inspired a bee themed page.

Begin by drawing, with a pencil, through the honeycomb inkable to create a border down the edge of the page.

Carefully cut the edge of the page, leaving a white border around the honeycomb.
Create a background by blending drried marigold, scattered straw and mustard seed distress inks together across the page.
Using ripe persimmon distress ink and the honeycomb inkable add to the background. Do some areas with heavy inking and others with lighter inking.
Using black soot distress oxide and the text 6 x 6 inkable add more to the background.
Next add more detail to the background using the honeycomb stamp, from the regular Doodle Art Bee stamp set, with ripe persimmon distress ink. Add more detail using the small geometric stamp from the set with scattered straw. Add more layers by using the honeycomb border with black soot.

Add small curcles to the background using the stamp from the Journal Art Elements 3 stamp set with black soot distress oxide.
Colour in some of the hexagons on the edge of the page using Prismacolour pencils in shades of orange and yellow.
Stamp three of the large bee onto the page. Don't worry if the bidies don't stamp cleanly,, but make sure the legs and antennae are clear.
On a seperate piece of white card, stamp three bees, then colour them with Prismacolor pencils. I add some light blue to the bottom part of the wings, just to give shadow. Cut them out, cutting off the legs and antennae.
Stamp your chosen sentiments from the Incredible Words stamp set. Cut out.

Glue the bees and sentiments to the page.
