Alison CT - Beautiful

Hi everyone,  today I'm sharing an art journal page created using the A5 Catalyst Collage papers with some of the Transparency Prints.

I began by painting my page with Kuretake Gansai Tambi granulating watercolours. I left this to dry.

Whilst waiting I cut out the image from the Catalyst Collage paper that I wanted to use.
When the background was dry, I added the alternate circles inkable using spiced marmalade and mustard seed distress oxide and some of the splats inkable using mermaid lagoon distress oxide. I wanted to add colours from her hair to the page.

Next, I chose the transparencies I wanted to use and cut them out.
I used matte medium to attach the intertwined circles strips to either side of the page.
Then I added the face.
I added the numbers and the circles to the centre of the largest five flowers.
Next I used matte medium to glue the three words to white card. I did this because they got lost in the background on their own. I cut them out.
Finally I glued the words to the page.
Products used:
Kuretake Gansai Tambi granulating watercolour paint
Alternate Circles inkable
Transparency Prints - alpha numbers, beautiful and brave, faces 4, sketchy birds and journaling essentials
Distress oxide - mustard seed, spiced marmalade, mermaid lagoon

Thanks for taking a look.

Calee CT -Flower Girl

Hi , this week my step by step guide is a journal page on a denim page in my journal. I have found this type of page more difficult to create on ,but thought these catalyst collage papers would work well on the darker background.

Firstly I chose the A4 Rainbow Thoughts pack as the vibrant yellows were a contrast to the denim.

Next I tore around the main image ready to add to my page .

Once I had glued it down , the next step was to stencil through both of the leaf designs in the D’inkables set 14 . This was done with sone acrylic paint in a very pale green and white. This added some background foliage to my page . I also added a stitched boarder with a white posca pen .

Next I stamped out a selection of flowers from the Art stamp set , Sketchy Flowers . These water coloured using Ecoline watercolour pens .

Next I took a look through my catalyst card and found this one from pack #1 and using a contrasting ink ( Spiced Marmalade) to the colours in my flowers . I stamped a couple of leaves  from Journaling essentials #4 and #6 stamp sets , on white card and a couple on the catalyst card .

Putting all of these bits aside I , stamped out my sentiment from the Ticket Tape 4 Wordage stamp set and edged in black .

My next  step was to lay all of my stamped flowers and leaves on to my page creating a floral collage in each corner . Feeling my background was alittle plane I  then added some dots and hashtags using posca pens .

Next I stamped out a few of the smaller butterflies from the Art stamp set Birds  and Butterflies, again colouring them with Ecoline pens. These were add to my page mainly in the girls hair , giving my page a more balance .

This is my finish page ,I’m really happy with how it turned out on the denim material, particularly as I have found these pages in my journal a really challenge .
Thank you for stopping by , I hope you found my step by step useful
Happy crafting
Calee

Sally CT - If nothing Changes Journal spread

Hi There! I am here with another 2 page spread in my mini journal today. Here's how I put it together.

I began by tearing some strips from book pages and adding them to the journal pages using Matte Medium.
Next, I added some spots of dylusions paint to the Pages, washing it over the book pages with a wet brush.
I tore some pieces of one of the sheets from A5 Wing Whispers Catalyst Collage paper, adding these to the page too.
Using a tag inkable from set 2 I used a blending brush to add the Salty Ocean distress oxide in patches around the pages.
After that I stamped some of the Stitched border stamps onto the pages in Black ink
On a scrap of card that had some blended coordinating ink, I stamped the sentiment and tore around it.

I added this to the right hand page and spritzed all over using Distress Spritz in fossilized Amber.
Here are the finished pages again.
I used:
Book page
Distress oxide ink in Salty Ocean
Black versafine Clair ink
Matte Medium
Distress Spritz - I used Fossilized Amber
Small Square journal

As you can probably tell I am so enjoying these papers still! There is no live from me this evening as I am enjoying some sea air, but I will be back with another step by step next week x
Thanks for looking!

Alison CT - A5 Painted Gaze Catalyst Collage Papers

Hi everyone,  today I'm sharing an art journal page created using some of the A5 Painted Gaze Collage Papers, with several stamp sets.

To begin, I chose the paper with the flowers in the corners and cut it to fit my journal page. I used a punch to round the corners and then glued it to the page using matt medium.
Next, I stamped the grid and splats, from the journal art elements 3, three times on the page using Versafine Clair nocturne, overlapping them.
Then I cut out the full face image from the cover sheet and added it to the page, where the grids overlap, using foam tape.

I then stamped the bird from Journaling Essentials 6 stampset, two stars from the Stars Textures stamp set, the tape measure and five small circles from the Stitched Borders stamp set and the three circles from the Journaling Essentials 1 stamp set. I coloured these using distress inks (for colours see below). I cut the images out.
Next, I added the stamped elements to the page.
Finally I added a sentiment from the Wordy Stickers 2B.
Products used:
Distress Ink - faded jeans, worn lipstick, wild honey
Versafine Clair nocturne

Thank you for taking a look. I hope I've inspired you to use these gorgeous papers.

Calee CT- Big Song

Hello , this week I have a collage step by step  to share with you . Using the gorgeous new catalyst collage papers

My first step was to choose the college paper and find my large journal , as I was going to use an A4 paper .This one is from the Wing Whispers collection.

Next I lay down some colour on my page using distress inks in tonal colours , Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilised Amber and Spiced Marmalade. Then added a few drops and splatters of water , blotting my page to remove some of the ink .

My next step was to tear the edges of the catalyst collage paper , and fussy cut around the flower .

Next I took some old music paper , tearing a few strips to add to my background .

Before I glued down the catalyst collage papers , and music strips , I added some stencilling through a script inkable, with Distress ink Mermaid Lagoon to highlight the blue from the collage paper .
Then I addded some texture paste through one of the D’inkables from set 14 .

The next step was to stamp out and colour one of the Doodle Art Rainbow birds . This I did with Ecoline water colour pens , with a loose watery feel , to blend the colours.

When everything was dry , I added a doodled boarder with a bold black pen and out lined the textured hearts with pink and blue watercolour pencils , blending it outwards.

My last step was to add a sentiment , this one is from the Doodle Art Rainbow Birds . After I had stamped it out I cut it into two pieces and outlined lined with black pen.
I am really enjoying using these collage papers and I hope you have found my step by step useful.
                       Happy crafting

Sally CT - More Collage inspiration

Hi There! I am here with another piece of inspiration using the gorgeous new Catalyst collage papers from Bee Crafty. Here is how this journal spread came together.

I began by dry brushing some stripes of Dylusions paint across a double page in my 5" square sketchbook. I used Pure Sunshine and Peony Blush.
Next I used one of the papers from the A5 set called Painted Gaze, Cutting it to fit the Left hand page, but tearing the right hand edge. from the remaining sheet I tore two strips, adding these to the right hand page over the paint. These were all attached using Matte Medium.
I added a little Blueprint Sketch ink on the right hand page through a Dinkable from set 11
To tie in with the left hand page I also added some more collage - Book page strips this time.
I stamped Be You from the Incredible Words stamp set on to stamping Tissue.
I found 4 flowers made using the Doodle Art Blooming Blooms stamp set in my stash that matched the colours perfectly.
I added these elements to the right hand page using Matte Medium and then stamped a couple of the worker stamps from the same set in a few spaces on both sides using black Versafine Clair ink. I am still trying to pluck up the courage to add a handwritten word to this. Either Unapologetically or Authentically... worried about spoiling it though 😂

I used:
Catalyst Collage papers - Painted Gaze A5
Black versafine Clair ink
Dylusions paint in Peony Blush and Pure Sunshine
Pens/ Pencils to colour the flowers
Distress Oxide ink in Blueprint sketch (although Salty Ocean might have been a better match!)
Matte Medium
Small journal/ sketchbook

I hope I have inspired you to have a go at the current challenge in our Bee Crafty Stamps facebook Group where the theme is Collage.
